New main branches are responding well after the second topping. Very soon I will need to begin training them out in prep of going under the net when they hit the flower tent. The current occupants of the tent probably have another 4 weeks to go so I'm going to have to get a little creative with plant placement in the meantime. I cleared out the lower leaves to clean things up and make it easier to water.
5/6 Edit:
So I decided on a training plan. First off to accommodate larger plants I went ahead and picked one to remove from the grow. #1 has tried to keep up but the odd mottled growth has definitely slowed it down some. Setting it aside for clones at a later date.
Next I did a little altering to my pallet table so the pots could sit in a lower running board. I'll use the top of the table to anchor the branches for training until the tent opens up.
Hey Scrubby, Nice buds brother. Looking like fire!!
Thanks for the response to my question.
As for the lighting I am running an HLG Scorpion Diablo V2 in my flower tent. In my veg tent I run the HLG 300L for early veg and then transition to my HLG 350R for mid to late veg then run the Scorpion Diablo for flowing. So I’m definitely dialled in for some CO2 action.
@Scrubbyjimbob, plant height and temps aren’t really a concern for me at the moment. I have a AC unit chilling my lung room to 18 deg C and the temperature in my tent runs about 23-24 degrees C with the lights on. But either way I’m going to give running CO2 a go. Tons of studies out there that say supplemented CO2 helps with photosynthesis. Still have had great results under my diablo with no supplemental CO2 but I’d like to be able to push that light to about 1,100-1,200 micromoles.
@Papa_T, Thx for checking out my grow. I only glanced at a current journal, so only saw the veg light. Really even with the Diablo I'd only worry about CO2 if you're having issues managing plant height and you run into a lot of light/heat stress issues.
I've seen buds practically touching high powered LEDs without burning or bleaching under CO2 but I wouldn't necessarily say it noticeably improves bud size or quality. In my opinion at least.
