Really disappointed with these genetics, all three of my plants hermed at some stage during their flowering cycle.
Lots of potential, just not very stable
I harvested this plant on day 70 of flower.
I’m really happy with how this plant turned out, but disappointed that this is it and that all her clones had to be destroyed.
I started out with a pack of three. All three seeds germinated and grew well through veg from what I can remember.
Two of the plants hermed over week 3 and 4 of flowering 😿 they were removed and disposed of.
The third plant appeared fine until around week 6 when I noticed three male flowers growing around the central stem. I removed them and decided to start her flush and finish her as fast as possible.
I’ve been checking her over daily on the lookout for more male flowers, but have found any.
I run multiple strains in a perpetual cycle where plants are being started and harvested at regular intervals. This strain was the only one to herm so I’m confident it’s not my environment that’s at fault.
Plus a friend on here @Thewoodfarms has also had herm issues with this strain so I’m not alone 😿
It’s a real shame, as you can see from the pictures she’s an absolute gem of a plant.
Buds are some of the densest I’ve grown to date and the trichome production is off the charts.
The smell on this one is out of this world!
Gassy, Sour/Sweet Cherries 🍒
I just wish she’d not hermed 😿
She’s had a light trim, been cut into individual branches and hung to dry.
I reckon this one will need between 10-14 days to fully dry.
Well, it’s been a journey.
I’d like to thank everyone that’s had a look, commented or liked this diary.
Hope it was helpful in some way.
Mixed feelings about this one, mainly sad 😿until next time 🌱💚
Hey how's it going! I'm currently doing a in house genetics run as well and am running one of the black honey butter. So far she has self topped 3 times and is very symmetrical while being medium in height. The sticky glue I'm running is monstrous compared to her and the rest of the ladies. Unfortunate that yours hermed on you I will be sure to keep a look out for that on mine! Praying for your other two phenos to have no herm issues!
Hey how's it going my friend! My black honey butter and other photos are on day 8 now and I can definitely say for a fact that the black honey butter is a super slow flowering girl. Not even a single pistil hair yet i'm definitely worried about herm. I think its safe to say if mine and yours all herm it is a genetics issue.
@TheWoodFarms,
I didn’t start seeing pistils until around week 4 of flower 🤷♂️
🤞all yours are fine 😸
If not then it’ll definitely be the genetics.
I’ve had at least one out of every pack I’ve run herm, not every pack, but more than I’d like 🤷♂️
@PersonalSmok3s, I feel your pain. Had a freebie Flap Jacks herm on me from Inhouse as well. I get the impression that you pay for the chance to get a killer pheno to make a mother or to breed with. Unfortunately that involves having to go through tents of herms to find a keeper. You won't ever catch me paying for Inhouse stuff unless I know for certain the plant isn't herm prone, which seems to be a common issue with inhouse.
Super unfortunate they all hermed😓. The one I have going is now on day 26 of flower and no signs of herm. I will definitely keep you posted on if I spot any herms in the next couple weeks.
@TheWoodFarms,
Is what it is 🤷♂️
Wish you all the best with yours 😸
Not guna lie though, the terps on this plant are insane! It smells more like Cherries than the actual fruit
