Welcome back everyone
A new season has started and once again I will battle against the outdoor environments.
FUCK YOU BUDROT, not this year
A new soil is on the way. I'm gonna use the whole Bio Canna line this year.
Also a new Mycorhizza mix with Great White Shark but I will mix some leftover nutrients from RQS Organic line too. Airpots again too.
But I'm gonna change in seeds and strains. After 6 grows with RQS we go with Dutch Passion this year. Years ago I grew one of their Orange Buds too and it was a beautiful plant. Time for a new try with all the new knowledge 😄
Seeds are germinating now. I will grow one Orange Bud and one Purple 1# plant.
It are photoperiods so we're off for a long journey 😃
-Germination started April 1
Glass of water for 24 hours, no tap root
visible
-Next in a moist papertowel, small
taproot visible after 2 days
-Gently placed the seeds in a sproutpad
sprinkled some RQS mychorizhae
under it and after 2 days in
humiditybox we have life
Orange Bud was the quickest to show her head out 😃
Hope u all enjoy this diary
Happy growing🙏
Hello everyone
Welcome to week 1 of vegetation
Both plants put their head out 5 days after I started germinating. Everything went perfect
The OB was the quickest to germinate but she is also stretching out a lot 😄
That's not bad, she's getting transferred one more time in 4 to 5 weeks to the big airpot so I can dig her deeper.
I made a mix of seedlings soil and Canna Bio Terra soil. Also added extra perlite and Mychorizzae has been given.
Last year I gave Biorhizotonic in this week to my Northern Lights automatic and she got slightly burned so this grow I'm gonna let her do her thing for 2 weeks and than water in with nutrients.
Enough nutrients in the soil for
I might try a little different LST training but that's for in a month 🙂
So far so good. I'm happy both seeds germinated. Let's see how they evolve in upcoming weeks
Happy growing 🙏
Hello everyone
Welcome to week 2 of Orange Bud 🍊
She stretches out a lot and it took long to develop her first leaves but now she is working on the second set.
Don't mind the quick pictures now. Upcoming Friday I will do a good photoshoot 😄
It will be a slow grow I think but if the roots settles in it can change quickly. I learned that from Jack Herer 😁
I watered in 1 time with PH 6,4 water, no nutrients yet but this weekend I will add the first Biorhizotonic. 1ml on 2L of water. Slow start, no need to give a lot now
I'm happy she is healthy and she will get transfered in 3 weeks just like her Purple Sister 💜
Happy growing 🙏
Week 3 for my Orange Bud 🍊
Slow but healthy progress just like my Purple #1 plant
I did added a support because she is stretching out too much and is tipping over sometimes after I place the moist bottle.
I should maybe transfer her to the big airpot but I wanna wait till I have more roots.
I watered one time with a bit nutrients
After that I let the soil dry out but kept it moist with the bottle humidity technique. She is doing fine and will be a great plant for sure
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 4 🙂
Just like the other diary of Purple #1 this is a slow grow
She is healthy but I think I might see a mutation on her 3rd internode 😄
Only 1 leaf comes out
Also a big stretch so she can use the support.
Gave feeding today and gonna start giving a bit more. Still a plain watering in between of course
I'm always ashamed about updating the first 4 weeks 🤣
Other growers have amazing roots and beautiful big bushy plants in vegative stage while I have slow progress.
But my previous grows taught me that can change quick once they settle in 😉
Happy growing everyone 🙏
Welcome to week 5
The cause of the slow progress has been found.
The plants barely had any roots.
Maybe I gave a bit too much water and they suffocated. I didn't have any signs like droopy leaves but I don't know what else I could have done wrong.
I made the roots that was there more visible and transferred her to her new home. I added Mychorhizzae underneath and trough the soil
New soil is 38L of biocanna
25% extra perlite was added
10% Plagron Bat Guano
10% RQS Seaweed
And RQS Organic nutrition
The plants are still growing and developing new leaves and shoots so I hope they will recover quick 🙂
LST will start in 2 or 3 weeks.
One plain watering planned in upcoming days.
Happy growing everyone 🙏
Welcome to week 6 friends
They plants have both showed more progress and especially the Orange Bud
Bigger leafs and some stretching
I place her a lot outside already and a bit of support was added.
I think this is my slowest start ever but overall she is healthy. Let's hope the roots is more happy now. I was really disappointed when I made the transfer and barely saw any 😔
No feeding this week, one small watering and a few days later there was a good rain day so the whole soil has been drained a bit which means a lot of food in the soil is "active"
Tomorrow I will feed her a bit Biorhizotonic and Biocanna. Also extra foliar spray for iron will be added soon.
I hope for more progress next week.
The ship has set sail fellas
See u next week
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 7
The Orange Bud is the biggest one so far this season.
I think the roots are settling in well now.
Happy they recovered
I see good progress and it's almost time to start the LST 😃
Gonna top her too once she gets more bushy
This week I will add nutrients too. Yesterday was a little rainday so they got enough water to survive 3 more days
Weather is average. Barely 20° Celsius
Nights are pretty cold, sometimes around 8°
I keep her inside for now during night
See u next week friends
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 8
I'm very happy with the evolution on the Orange Bud 🍊🍊
This week she grew a lot and she looks very healthy.
There was one little rainday and i gave feeding 2 days later. Root stimulator and Biovega. Next watering outside with rain and than watering with Vita race for extra iron
At night she still goes inside. Pretty cold here. During day around 19° Celsius
I will upload extra pictures because LST will start soon. I started more off center and i really wanna use all the space the 38L airpot gives me to make a nice bush 😄
That's all for now
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 9 everyone
We have a very nice week here
The weather still isn't fantastic but the 🍊Orange Bud🍊 has made good progress inside.
She got bigger and I believe the roots are finally ok. No bad leaves or any problems but I'm gonna buy sticky traps soon. Lots of fruitflies around.
After that gonna use neem oil and ladybugs
I placed her outside as much as possible. Some days we're good but also cold, 14° to18° degrees is not so warm for this time of the year 😄
After a rainday and a small feeding 3 days later I decided it was time to start LST. I started more off center and have a lot of space to tie her down now.
8 weeks of growing to go. I hope to keep her under control 😅
See u next week
Happy growing
Week 10 for Orange Bud 🍊
Good progress. She is spending her days outside now.
Better weather here in my part of the country 😄 some people at a certain Metal festival will dissagree.
The LST looks great so far. All the small leaves are getting bigger and I'm thinking to top her this week. I want to split the main cola in 2 so I can control her more easy for LST. What u think?
One feeding, everything is around 1,5 to 2ml on 1L of water. I'm gonna keep doing this as long as it goes well. In one week I will do a little flush too to avoid salt build up. It can be me doing it or a good rain day, we will see
So far, so good
Happy growing 🙏
Week 11 and still going strong
A great week. Good evolution and growth.
I'm tying her down every 2 or 3 days to expose future budsites.
The Orange Bud is a really a fun plant so far. Very curious for the flowering phase 🍊
We had 2 raindays and I gave one feeding. She reacts well on this schedule.
All nutrients are 2ml on 1L of water.
Temperatures are ok. 2 hot days and 2 normal days. Anything between 25° and 30° here is perfect 😄
This week I will have time for a good topping and to LST her Purple Sister.
Happy growing everyone and have an awesome summer
See u next week 🙏
Welcome to week 12 🙂
An average week for weather with temperatures around 18 to 20 degrees but the Orange Bud is doing great. Looking healthy and the little shoots are popping up.
She spend 4 days outside, also at night, and the other days were inside at an open door for fresh air.
One rainday and I kept her inside for other raindays because today I wanted to feed her nutrition.
2ml Biorhizotonic
2ml BioVega
2ml Vita Race
We're added today on 2L of water.
PH around 6,4
I started with 0,5 liter today. Tomorrow I will give some extra
She's starting to fill up the canopy nicely 😃
I'm thinking about forced flowering in 2 or 3 weeks or I can let her do her thing for 5 more weeks. She will definitely have a bigger appearance than my Northern Lights last year.
Gonna spread her our real good with the LST to avoid buds touching each other. I wanna keep her low and under control too 😅
All is going great so far
Happy growing friends 🙏
Welcome to week 13,5 😄
Late update, went to a festival and had a hangover
Plant is loving life, this orange bud is a great strain
In the last 10 days she really filled up the whole canopy and I adjusted the LST every 3 days
Great weather too, never below 15° Celsius and some rain and sun.
One good feeding and she doesn't show any troubles for feeding or PH
I'm gonna let get do her thing and wait for natural switch to flowering. No forced flowering this year, I will finish her inside if the weather gets terrible
This week i will remove some leaves and re-adjust the whole LST Settings, also for my Purple 1# plant.
So far this is a fun year 😄
I will add some outdoor pictures too this weekend, late shift this week and I sleep long
Happy Growing 🙏
Week 14 is here
Lots of evolution on the plant 🍊
Many future budsites are popping up
I did a big defolation and cleaned up all future popcornbuds.
Started from the lowest node near the stem and plucked away whatever i think was not worth it.
Also some fanleaves are pruned for more airflow and light to smaller sites
I have a hard time to control the main cola again 😅
It's already on the outside of the pot and it's hard to direct her in a different direction. Will still manipulate her for the next weeks as good as possible.
Good and bad weather but the temperatures are perfect and we have days with lots of sun and some rain now and then. Always around 21 to 25 degrees. Never below 15 at night
That sounds like the ideal vegative stage weather
Tomorrow I will give feeding, everything 2ml on 1L of water. She had some rain this week so definitely not a dried out soil.
Might add some morevpictures
Happy growing 🙏
See u next week
Welcome to week 15
Purple is still doing great but doesn't have that "explosive" growth that the Orange Bud has.
🍊The Orange Bud 🍊 is doing fantastic
I'm a bit afraid for flowering 😅
Really hope she doesn't triple in size and I know it can happen 😁
It's been some time since I had a bigger plant like this
There was rain and sun and I gave one good feeding tonight. 2 to 3 ml nutrients on 4 L of water. PH 6,4 this time.
Everything is going great and this is really a fun year. I'm training the plant a little but more and I'm making sure there is a lot of airflow by pruning away all small leaves and the future popcornbuds.
If I look at the humidity conditions outside it can become difficult again.
75% to 100% humidity at night will be more common than exception.
We are almost 2nd week of August and I'm expecting the switch to flowering soon. I hope to keep everything low and under control 😅
I bought some companion plants and I placed extra flowers on the porch outside.
Mint, Basilicum, Thyme, Lavendel and some Citrus plants are added for camouflage and smell
Let's hope it works out
Happy growing 🙏
Gonna add some more pictures soon
Welcome to the start of flowering
Week 17
Height is around 50cm
Some flowers higher than others but
She really grew a lot in the last month
The LST is doing good so far
One more big adjustment to make sure everything is right for flowering
One more neem oil watering will be given too. Also gonna add ladybugs
She looks very healthy with only a bit yellow on some leaves.
I think I should feed her maybe a bit more.
The soil has some food left but maybe not enough
I only give one feeding every 5 days, 2 to 3 ml on 2L of water so far. Sometimes a flush in between or a rainday.
I'm excited for the upcoming weeks 😅
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 17
Both plants had a bit more stretching but everything is well under control
I didn't do a lot of training of defoliation this week, just let her do her thing
One watering today with 6,4PH and all nutrients 2ml
The Purple has some yellowing but it didn't became worse. I guess she needed some extra nutrients for the switch to flowering.
The Orange Bud is simply doing fantastic. Beautiful plant. Handles training and nutrition very well so far
This week will be a neem oil watering and one nutrient watering.
Tuesday we expect rain too so that's perfect for now but I hope for good stable weather in upcoming weeks 😁
No shitloads of rain
Happy growing
See u soon 🙏
Welcome to week 19
Third week of flowering and a late update
Orange Bud is doing great but she and the purple are showing signs of trouble
Many leaves are turning yellow and getting crispy. I first thought it was a lack of food because I only feed once every week but it looks like a PH lock out now. I flushed the plant today with 4 L of PH 6,4 water. I might do it one more time in a few days and than check if it gets better. Give me any advice u guys want please 🙏
Otherwise she is focusing on the buds now, the stretching is done
So far I didn't have any troubles so I hope this gets solved quickly. I will make a grow question if things don't work out upcoming week
Happy growing
Welcome to week 19+20
Late updates and Shitloads of rain
10 days ago we had 4 days of straight buckets out of the sky
Kept the plant dry in my garden house but I bought a shelter next weekend
It does the job to keep her dry but with morning and night temperature of 5 degrees and morning humidity of 85% to 100% u know this is a big challenge
I don't have big buds yet so there is nothing that can rot at this moment but she needs at least untill half October to finish so I'm very curious if we will win the battle against budrot
The plant does look nice and Orange Bud has no bugs problem that purple had. Nothing is lost at this point 🙏😅
Happy growing and Fingers crossed for this once again challenging
Welcome to week 20 or 21
Since I was late with an update we calculate like this 😅
This week we had better temperatures
20° to 26° Celsius during days and some nights were 15°
Leave it like this for 3 more weeks please 🙏
Both plants are showing great evolution and I didn't gave too much water after the big rains they had 2 weeks ago
Orange Bud is really doing fantastic
Buds are swelling up nicely and I have many ones, also some smaller popcornbuds I forgot.
She has some slow yellowing but nothing bad, I defoliate every week.
So far so good, gonna keep a close eye on the Purple because she has some more trouble
Happy growing
See u next week 🙏
Week 22 or more likely 23 is here
I really think she's gonna suffer from the cold and humidity but so far she has fought her way trough it 💪🍊
A thing that might help is that the buds aren't that big. There is less chance on budrot than when u have grown big handsized buds.
11 more days to go, I will feed her today and then flush 1 or 2 times
Happy growing
@nonick123, hey friend. Oh wow 1,5 KG 😃😍
I will be very happy if I get 80 to 100 grams from her haha. Let's hope 😄
Thanks for joining man
Happy growing
Estás a tiempo de hacer topping o supercropping al tallo principal
Con ello controlarás la altura y crecerán más las ramas laterales por la re-distribución de hormonas!
@birdmountain, on the Orange Bud it was not too bad considering leaves, the purple had more troubles. I just bought a shelter. 3 days of straight rain and temperature around 7° Celsius at night 😭 I kept plant inside today in my garden house and will be like that untill Friday I
@nonick123, all the leaves are a bit crispy and brownish. After the flush it didn't became worse imo. Watered in today with nutrients. PH 6,4 and all nutrients 4ml on 3L of water. The plant keeps growing pistils and is switching to flowering pretty good despite the
Hola amigo
Estaba pensando que hagas una buena poda de las ramas bajas para mejorar la aireación y evitar el budrot que siempre te amenaza
Asi la planta crecerá más verticalmente!
@nonick123, hey friend, thanks for checking in
Yeah I will prune something for sure.
Tomorrow I will have time to do extra LST and will remove some leaves for sure. More aircirculation will absolutely help against budrot.
@nonick123, thank u
Let's give it another try 😄
This year I wanna manipulate her as much as possible to make sure all buds are far from each other. But I'm actually starting to love these plants haha. I wasn't super motivated when I started but I'm getting more active now 😄
Thanks for joining again friend
Happy growing 🙏
@nonick123, yes friend, and for the next 4 days she will also stay inside during day. It's Barely 14 degrees outside during daytime 😏 what a nice summer haha.
In my porch she has lots of light too and when i get home i immediately open the door for fresh air too. Its a good spot for sure 🙂
@nonick123, yes it's time to start up good with nutrients. Gonna add Vita Race for extra Iron too.
I'm glad they finally show good progress. Was really doubting if it would be ok after I saw the roots but she is strong 🙂
@nonick123,
I always thought u need to water the soil to activate nutrients so a bit rain in vegative stage can't hurt. After week 7 I'm gonna give regular nutrients 🙂
Thanks for checking in dude🙏
@nonick123, yes that's the biggest problem now although she does have a good spot in my porch.
Can't wait to put her outside in 2 weeks.
Another diary I follow lost his plants due to frost one night so I'm gonna wait for right time here 😄
