Welcome to my first attempt at a purple plant 😄
Outdoor season has started again and I'm finally gonna grow a strain I'm admiring for years. Purple is so beautiful to see and I hope I get good genetics. I'm also growing an Orange Bud in other diary
A new soil is on the way. I'm gonna use the whole Bio Canna line this year.
Also a new Mycorhizza mix with Great White Shark but I will mix some leftover nutrients from RQS Organic line too. Airpots again too.
-Germination started April 1
Glass of water for 24 hours, no tap root
visible
-Next in a moist papertowel, small
taproot visible after 2 days
-Gently placed the seeds in a sproutpad
and sprinkled some RQS mychorizhae
under it and after 2 days in
humiditybox we have life
Hope u all follow along
Gonna update some more throughout the week.
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome everyone
Week 1 of vegative stage for my Purple #1 💜🔥
I needed to help her by removing the shell a little bit. I opened it a tiny bit with a pincet and gentle fingers so she could push the shell away. After one day she did it by herself 😄
She's quite stretchy but not too much.
In 3 days she already gained some height but I hope she focusses on her first leaves now
Added Mychorrizae throughout the soil mix i made and below the roots/sproutpad.
I don't water the soil yet. I just spray the watterbottles and keep it humid.
The soil is a bit moisty just from that.
I do the exact same for the Orange Bud
Let's see how she does in the upcoming week
Happy growing 🙏
Hello everyone
2 days late but we are still going strong.
Don't mind the quick pictures, better ones will come this Friday when I'm home 😁
The plants like their environment but I gave a little bit too much water one time so I let them dry out for 4 days.
Top soil is still a bit moisty
Right now the second set of leaves is developing after a pretty big stretch
It's always like this Because I grow whitout any light besides the sun 😄
Upcoming weekend I will give the first Biorhizotonic. 1ml on 2L of water.
Going really easy on the nutrients now to avoid burns.
She is looking healthy and the roots are setting in now. In the next weeks she will start to grow big and we still have long vegative stage to go
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 3
A slow but healthy progress.
She's still tiny now but she shows no problems and is growing everyday as we can tell by the stretching 😁
The plant is in my kitchen now and when it's sunny I place her behind the window. She has a constant temperature of 20° Celsius
It's still cold here. Last week was flirting with 0° when I drove home after nightshift
I hope for warmer days to place her more outside.
A little bit of feeding has been given. I let the soil dry out after that watering for 5 days now but I kept her moist with the bottle technique.
Next watering will be plain 6,5PH water
Thanks for checking in, see u soon
Happy growing 💜🙏
Welcome to week 4
Late update, had busy days at work
Plants are still healthy but we have slow progress.
It's the first days we have some more spring temperatures and more sun
She is still behind the window in my porch, constant temperature of 18° to 23° degrees.
Nights are still very cold outside. Sometimes flirting with 5° Celsius.
I gave feeding today and it was almost 5 days ago I watered them. Gonna give light feeding to her. 1ml of Biovega and 2ml of BioRhizotonic on 2L of water.
I'm not gonna complain 😄 I looked at my previous photoperiod grows and it looks like the same evolution so far.
Last 3 grows was autoflower so they were already transfering to flowering by this time. I'm very aware of the fact she can still grow big haha, especially the Purple
Happy growing everyone 🙏
Welcome to week 5
Today I cleaned up my yard and everything around outside and it was such good weather that I just decided to transfer the girls and place them outside
Luckily I did because I checked the roots and there was barely any visible 😪
Did I gave too much water? Was it the environment?
I had slow progress but now I understand why.
I made the bit roots that was there a little but more open and visible, I sprinkled Mychorhizzae underneath and placed her in her new home.
I mixed 38 liter of Biocanna with about 25% extra perlite
10% Plagron Bat Guano
10% Seaweed
Some Mychorhizzae through it
And those Organic Boosters from RQS
I had left.
Next watering will be plain PH 6,5 water
Don't gonna overfeed her now she has a new soil. In 2 weeks a little bit Biocanna
Happy growing everyone 🙏
Week 6 for my first Purple plant 💜
This is my slowest grow ever so far but she is still making progress 😄
The roots were definitely suffocated and that explains why everything was delayed
I'm not panicking. The leaves are still healthy and she isn't droopy or showing any other signs of big problems.
Just a regular plant having a hard start because of mistakes by me.
One plain watering this week and a few days later it was a rainy day. Soil has a lot of food left so I just let her do her thing. A tiny amount of roots stimulator and 1ml of Biocanna was given yesterday
Days are around 20° to 23° degrees, sometimes a bit colder.
Nights are pretty cold with 10° to 13° degrees so I place her inside.
Next watering will be rain, than again with some nutrients but that's for in 5 days I think
Lucky we still have a long vegative stage to go or she would be smaller than my Jack Herer with the weird genetics 😄
Happy growing 🙏
See u next week
Welcome to week 7
All going well
Plants are settling in and showing more progress
Purple is the smallest so far but she looks healthy
Outside during day, 19°
Inside during night, still cold here. Sometimes temperatures under 10°
Will add more pictures this week
Time to sleep now after nightshift
Happy growing 🙏
Week 8 for this challenging grow
She's having a hard time
She spend some time outside and there was a strong wind and she layed almost flat on the soil when i checked her 😄
Still very small too. This is week 8 and she looks like a baby. The difference with the Orange bud is getting bigger every day. Im a bit disappointed so far.
All my other grows were better by now.
But she does look healthy, no droopy leaves, no bad spots. Just a small plant so far that still has time to deliver
Curious how she will do
No LST yet because i want her more bushy first
Happy growing 🙏
Week 9 for Purple #1 💜
A slow grow for sure but every week she shows progress. She is really catching up but still a bit behind on the orange bud for sure so I will wait to LST her one more week. The stem still looks too thin.
But the leaves look healthy, she gets bigger and is expanding. She has fought her way trough the seedlingstage and I hope she becomes a great teenager 😄
8 more weeks of vegative stage to go
She can still become a bush 😄
One rainday and one feeding. Always PH 6,5
Happy growing
See u next week 🙏
We are in week 10 💜
The plant is getting bigger but some of the lower leaves look very small.
I'm gonna LST her soon so the apical dominance is broken. No harm done here, she can still grow for 6 more weeks for sure.
One watering with nutrients this week but also one small rain I think. I was away for a day and night to Amsterdam so she stayed outside for the first time.
Good weather now too. Nights around 15°
We are doing pretty well so far
Let's hope for good days
Happy growing 🙏
Week 11 for Purple 1# 💜
She's doing great but i noticed curling leaves this week.
We had 2 hot days so maybe a reaction to that.
It doesn't become worse and after a watering I already saw it becoming better.
But if we compare her now with how she looked a month ago i can only say she is a strong plant.
Fought her way trough a hard time and is now becoming a little bush 😄
I gave one feeding and there were 2 raindays. All nutrition is 2ml on 1L
Ph 6,5
This week i will LST her and do the topping. She is strong enough now to handle it. She is bushy and doesn't have a lot of space between the nodes so i will be very careful
Happy growing and see u next week 🙏
Week 12 for Purple #1💜
Average weather, rainy days and dry days. Temperatures around 18° to 20° Celsius. She spended 4 days outside and some nights inside. I switch when i see how cold or rainy it gets. No need to put her in 4 days of straight rain.
Plant is still loving life. I put on LST and she will be harder to control than the Orange Bud 😄 she was already bigger so a bit more sturdy to adjust. So far I have never broken something while doing LST. Fingers crossed 😄🤞
Gave her one feeding again
Everything was 2 to 2,5 ml on 2L of water. Slow build up. Im very convinced that the soil is still rich in nutrients too.
Everything is going well
Happy growing friends 🙏
Welcome to week 13,5
Late update, sorry friends
Weather was great, some rain and some very sunny days, plant been growing a lot and getting bushy
I added some LsT but the rain and wind knocked it loose again 😅
I'm still gonna adjust her for 3 more weeks so no harm done
I gave one good feeding.
I'm starting to see a beginning ph trouble or potassium lock out
Since I started using airpots I haven't been able to collect run off water so u have no idea about the PH inside the soil.
I always water with 6,3 to 6,6 and last year that worked out fantastic.
Otherwise she looks superhealthy
See u next week, maybe a bit sooner 😅
Happy growing 🙏
Week 14 for Purple #1
She is growing really well
I waited a bit too long for the LST so it is a bit hard to control her
Did a big defoliation and cleaned up all future popcornbuds. Gonna do this one more time in 3rd week of flowering
Nutrients will be given tomorrow
2ml on 1l of water
2 more weeks untill flowering starts I think. I really hope she doesn't grow huge 😅
Happy growing
See u next week 🙏
Welcome to week 15 💜
Purple is still doing great but doesn't have that "explosive" growth that the Orange Bud has.
It's easier to control her now. I tied her down a bit extra and made all the smaller buds more visible
There was rain and sun and I gave one good feeding tonight. 2 to 3 ml nutrients on 4 L of water. PH 6,4 this time.
Everything is going great and this is really a fun year. I'm training the plant a little but more and I'm making sure there is a lot of airflow by pruning away all small leaves and the future popcornbuds.
If I look at the humidity conditions outside it can become difficult again.
75% to 100% humidity at night will be more common than exception.
We are almost 2nd week of August and I'm expecting the switch to flowering soon. I hope to keep everything low and under control 😅
I bought some companion plants and I placed extra flowers on the porch outside.
Mint, Basilicum, Thyme, Lavendel and some Citrus plants are added for camouflage and smell
Let's hope it works out
Happy growing 🙏
Gonna add some more pictures soon
Welcome to week 16
First flowering signals were last week
But I didn't pay close attention
Purple is doing good but I noticed some yellowing.
Maybe she has a nutrients shortage?
I added Bio Flores in the watering this morning, 2 ml, slow start to begin
Gonna water in or spray with Neem oil one more time this week. Ladybugs will be released soon too
The LST did great and I see many future budsites. One more big adjustment will be done to make sure all buds have enough space to grow big
The purple is smaller than the Orange Bud but will deliver for sure
We're off for an exciting journey
Let's hope for a good flowering
Happy growing 🙏
Welcome to week 17
Both plants had a bit more stretching but everything is well under control
I didn't do a lot of training of defoliation this week, just let her do her thing
One watering today with 6,4PH and all nutrients 2ml
The Purple has some yellowing but it didn't became worse. I guess she needed some extra nutrients for the switch to flowering.
The Orange Bud is simply doing fantastic. Beautiful plant. Handles training and nutrition very well so far
This week will be a neem oil watering and one nutrient watering.
Tuesday we except rain too so that's perfect for now but I hope for good weather in upcoming weeks 😁
Happy growing
See u soon 🙏
Week 19 and third week of flowering is here
We are encountering problems 😭
Many leaves turned yellow and got crispy. This is a PH lock out imo
I flushed the plant with 4L of 6,4 PH water. I will do it again in a few days
I don't know how it could happen, I always made sure PH was in the right range when watering but like I said before, its hard to check with the Airpot since most of the time I don't have runoff water.
I hope to fix it this week otherwise I will make a grow question. Please feel free to give me any advice because it's 3 grows ago I encountered such problems, it's usually budrot that fucks everything up 😭😅
Happy growing
Updates will be on Saturday from now
See u next week 🙏
Welcome to week 19 and probably 20 too
Late update, busy days, and horrible weather conditions
We have nights around 5 degrees here.
It's only half september but this happens more and more.
Last year we had this in August too and if u combine that with night and morning humidity of 85% to 100% we know what will happen.
So I bought a shelter. I can't take vacation from work and otherwise I would have made the plants finish indoor (I'm only missing a LED light) but I don't wanna install an indoor grow and not be able to keep my eyes on it 24/7
We don't have buds yet, because of the cold and rain we have slow progress for sure. Realistically I think she needs untill 2nd week of October 😔 let's hope for some normal late summer days and not too cold nights.
Purple is slowly turning purple and had to deal with some bugs. I gave neem oil 10 days ago I watering and it didn't became worse anymore
Fingers crossed guys
I'll be happy with whatever comes from this challenging outdoor grow 😅
Happy growing
Week 20 or 21 is here
Weather is doing great with temperatures around 23° Celsius
Night not colder than 13° and of course humidity around 75% but I have a shelter 😅
Don't know if it's gonna help to pull the Purple trough. We have some trouble with bugs. I'm maybe gonna give 1 more Neem oil watering but I'm doubting since I'm only 3 weeks away from harvest.
It's mostly the main cola that had suffered from caterpillars. They were only there for 10 days I think but caused a lot of damage. I have some bugshit and crispy leaves around the main cola. He doesn't look to healthy
The lower buds are actually looking ok so I'm doubting to sacrifice my main cola to save all the rest
What u guys think?
