Greenshift Hello everyone! In preparation, the soil was placed in the container (in a 12L plastic pot) and watered once to ensure moisture. The substrate consists of the described composition + 1L seedling soil and was lightly pressed down. The seedling soil serves as a bed for the seed. Thus, the future roots had to pass through the seedling soil first and won't be overwhelmed by the Light Mix directly. The seed was then placed about 1.2cm deep. After three days, germination was already visible, starting with the seed cap, which was then shed. This took an additional day. The light might have been placed a bit high, so the seedling started to stretch (growing tall quickly, getting leggy). That's why you can see this nice construction made of plant wire in the picture, which is meant to protect the seedling from the worst (dying, falling over, breaking, etc.). For further stability, I also added worm humus around the plant. I increased and adjusted the light intensity as well. To keep the humidity consistent (my target value is around 80%), I provided the pot with a cover. The light source hangs about 50 cm away from the plant and has a light intensity of 50%. I watered the lady once at the beginning with about 1.2 liters of treated tap water enriched with oxygen. She’s already aiming high ;) We’ll see together where the journey goes from here.
