Hello all first time grower here…
I have two seeds from Mephisto that have been germinating since April 10, 2024. I first soaked the seeds in PH’d water (6.5) for 24 hours then placed them in a wet paper towel for the next 48 hours. I will be growing them in a 5 gallon fabric pot with happy frog Foxfarm soil. I filled the buckets almost completely, but left enough space to put about a solo cup worth of non-fertilized soil in the center. The GSM were purchased in a 5 pack and two PPxC were freebies from Mephisto.
Had my GSM look slight over watered so shooting for the wet/dry cycle. Both plants showing preflowering signs so the nutrients with reflect on that. Did some LST to both otherwise they look healthy and are receiving 650 par to promote growth.
I lowered the nutrients to a quarter strength because of how dark the leaves seemed to be and a very small yellow tip on both plants ( I mean very small ) and to see how the plant likes it. The grow big did not get used this feeding so to not have a lot of nitrogen fed going into flowering.
Seeing a lot of pistols forming this week and starting to swell in the budsite areas. Plants are still relatively short compared to what I see others plants have grown too at this stage of the cycle. My guess is overwatering during the early part of their growth may have stunted them. All in all I’m happy for my first grow.
This week I did a dunk of straight 6.5 distilled water and the run off came out at 2700 PPM so I would be feeding this next feed to see if the PPM drops. Other than that the buds are filling in a bit and have an awesome smell. Hopefully everything goes as planned
Plants starting to smell a bit when it gets warm in the tent. Buds are starting to swell more and more. Can’t wait until this is finished guessing another 4 weeks
