Just started this new grow in a bigger pot, growing along side the other plant. For this one i will start counting days as soon as she develops the first set of leaves! LST started early with this new grow operation in order to apply all that i have learned from my first grow! We are officially at the end of week 1, over all pretty happy with the progression of this lady. Unfortunately it is going to start getting colder as from next week so i am curious to see how she will handle it! To sum up week 1, prior to week 1 i accounted about 10 days where she was in an embryonic form, and later during the first week i have seen the development of the very first 3 notes!

Week 2 of vegetation has just started! Nothing much to say yet, other than she seems to be growing a bit faster than her older sister! A few more pictures will be uploaded during the week. Growth seems to be normal and she loves life! The temperature during nights is a bit colder and i anticipate to drop to 15 degrees in the upcoming weeks, it may be time soon to open up the heater! LST started early this time around, applying all that i have learned from her older sister! On Day 13 i applied the 3rd LST point, achieving maximum exposure for the to be new colas! At the end of the week some leaves look yellowish, i don't quite understand why since the soil is all new and the pot is rather big, i can't see why this yellowish could be nutrient deficiencies...

Week 3 has just started, leaves have a yellowish color which raises to me some concerns, but i decided to leave it be for now. If it continues, i will be adding a small dose of 20-20-20 slow release fertilizer. On day 19 i cut down a few of the main stem leaves in order to expose smaller leaves to light, which will greatly help to the formation of future sub-colas!

Week 4 of vegetation has just started and i haven't fed her any nutrients yet. So far, i gave space for 8 sub colas, and 1 main cola. No major issues yet, other than the leaves which i wish they were greener than that. I know that some fertilizer could possibly help, but i am going for a season where i feed only when its urgently needed! 22 hours into week 4 and i have applied some new LST points. Looking good to me over all!. Still keeping her at 3.5 cm height! By late in day 23 all leaves got a green color with which i was satisfied, and all this without needing the help of any nutrients! Because of my eagerness to apply as much as possible LSTing i ended up breaking one of the sub branches :( On day 25 i turned the blooming lights down to 10% since the other plant reached the end of its circle. Day 27 and visually she seems to be doing great, apart from a few signs of what possibly could be a nitrogen toxicity issue, for which i can't do much other than wait for it to go away. So far she has experienced as you can tell a lot of LSTing the only leaves that were cut down were a couple of fan leaves that would otherwise create a shadow over the little future sub colas! Her sister on day 27 already showed up her first pistils, i am happy to see that this one hasn't showing up any pistils yet which i am taking to my advantage for further training in an attempt to give space to as many sub colas as possible, since i want to keep it as small as possible but at the same time have as colas as possible.

We have just entered week 5 without any issues. The LSTing of the previous weeks seem to have payed off! First pistil came up 14 hours into week 5! Seems like next week we will be switching to full flowering mode! :) On day 32 i discovered a strange feature (possibly a mutation?), one of the stems behaves as it if it was topped and instead of growing one main cola, i think it has just started developing 2! I will definitely keep track of this development! Week 5 is ending and it seems like we will have week 6 to be still in vegetation stage, but i do not complain as i am looking forward to her stretching a bit more and applying some more LST points before entering the flowering stage! Health wise she is doing pretty awesome so far and she doesn't seem to need any help yet!

- Week 6 just about started, no issues on the plant from what i can tell. - 2nd week of pre-flower. - No nutrients have been used yet. - Stretching mode engaged. - Cut down all the roots that were coming out at the bottom of the pot, and pruned her a bit by cutting down about 6 leaves that were in the way of light and other future colas on day 36. - Already 2 days into week 6 and she has stretched remarkably! I can already see the first signs of trichromes on older leaves. A few more pistils have popped up as well! - Days 38 and 39 didn't have anything special so no pictures, plant still stretches and pops up new pistils slowly but at a steady rhythm. On day 39 i added a couple of grams of slow release 20-20-20 fertilizer in order to try and address an issue of yellowish leave tips. This is the first time fertilizer is added to this grow. -Day 40: Got some more LSTing done, probably the last time i train her since we are almost into flowering mode! - Day 42 almost ready to get into full flowering mode! What i have come to expect with hindu kush auto seed from sensi seeds is that the plant goes into full flowering mode once it establishes its 12th note, at least that was at least how both of my seeds of HK-A behaved. I have 3 more seeds, which in future grows i will put to the test if they as well behave in the same way! 12 notes i think is a good number since it gives you anything from 5 to 6 weeks to LST your plant and prepare it for its final form (ps i consider an autoflower has entered full flowering mode once i see pistils on the top of the plant)! More photos will be posted in the week! :)

Here we go, full flowering mode is almost here, didn't feed her anything this week since i gave her all purpose nutrients at the end of the previous week! Looking forward to the formation of the first buds during this week! If i learned anything from her is that she takes double the time to reach the milestones of my previous grow. Day 44 - I am blown away by how much the pot size determines the plant size! On day 43 i over watered her a bit thus leave tips pointing downwards, nothing that she can't recover from. Will be watering her again once top soil is dry for a day! Day 46 - Or as known by pop culture on Christmas day found our little girl getting pruned and being prepared to enter full flowering mode! The pruning found her with significantly less leaves, opened up space for light to travel through and reach the lowest canopy once again! Day 47 - 5 days into week 7 and this girl really likes to take her time growing! She is unbelievably slow, still growing side branches and showing pistils but she is not compared at all to the pace of my previous HKA, which on day 47 was rocking 100% flowering and bud creation. Day 48 - Still growing... I try bending stems and leaves in all sorts of ways in order to restrain her, since she is already filling up more than half of the grow space i can allocate to her!

At which stage of flowering should i change to a bloom fertilizer? Currently "flowering" period has just started 2 days ago and it will need about 7-8 weeks until to be ready for harvest. At which stage of flowering is nitrogen not needed at all anymore?

Hello! Well Nitrogen will be needed during the whole life cycle but the amount isn't the same in veg / flowering and late flowering do the only moment you don't need nitrogen anymore is when you will flush your plants just before harvest. So in veg and early flowering ( the 2 first weeks) they require more an higher amount of nitrogen than in middle and late flowering and that is why the bloom nutrients also contain nitrogen. So to answer your question you will need to decrease nitrogen at the end of week 2 and slowly increase the P and K. I hope it will help you 😁✌️🏼

We have just entered week 8 and day 50. She is really taking her time in growing but is all good! More updates coming your way as the week progresses on! Day 50 - Dropped some last LST on the main stem. Day 51 - While i had said i would not do any more LSTing due to space limitation today i decided to do some more LSTing; the most drastic LSTing i have done today! Hopefully she will bounce back in the next 24 or so hours. She is again about 24cm long but i think she will go back to 30 within a day or 2. Day 52 - NYE, I continued the LSTing to put every stem into a good position for the weeks to come. Day 55 - First bud sides have been formed! :) Day 56 - Last day of week 8. Today her leaves were all curling down. Since this was not due to an over watering or under watering issue, and neither it was a nutrient issue, the only other option which i could also feel was the temperature. Unfortunately temperature dropped below 15 degrees. After turning on the AC unit and setting the temperature back at 23 degrees and giving her a couple of hours, now all all leaves are standing up loud and proud. But today's main event was that i selectively defoliated about 15 leaves which were in the way of light and i also lollipop-ed a few lower canopy colas that didn't get that much light. If only i had more growing space i would have just considered them cuttings and tried to grow them along the main one, but space is a bitch, i can barely take care of 1 girl.. :( Over all week 8 turned out to be really great, looking forward to week 9 and to more cola development! To enter week 9 i offered her a mixture of all sorts of nutrients, my method is rather unorthodox but that was the best i could find at my local gardening shop. Also i may have put a little bit too much nutrients inside... Next week will show if i did any good at all! :p

Entering Week 9 with a lot of potential, the nutrients i fed her on the last day of week 8 turned out not to be too much on her! Looking forward to yet another awesome week with her! Day 61: Some more defoliation was done. Growing strong, Looking forward to enter week 10 in a couple of days without issues! Day 62: Done some more LSTing and prepared her for the next week. One of the little stems that didnt get much light instead of cutting it and throwing it away, i decided to make it a cutting and add it to my outside herbal tea garden and let it on its own. If it survives its going to yield less than half a gram :p Day 63: My AC broke down in room temperature dropped drastically and had to overcome this major issue by installing mini heaters which are damn expensive to run :( She better yield a good amount to justify the costs i am putting my self into :(

Just entered week 10 from seed, and the 4th week of flowering! She is growing strong and happy. She will be receiving her feeding towards the end of the week hopefully! :) Day 67: After discussing the issue of the yellowish leaves with a couple of our community growers i am certain that she is suffering from nutrient burns. I proceeded with flushing her yesterday and i will repeat again in a couple of days once she is dry again. I hope the nutrient burn won't get any worse, so in conclusion i won't be feeding her this week and neither next week, i thrive to see some perfectly healthy leaves for a change on her. It is not like she is in a bad shape but surely she can be much better than what she currently is! :) Day 68: And it is pruning day, since i want to minimize the number of sub-colas i am cutting down, it means that i have to prune her every week and make sure that most of the colas have at least partial access to light. While i was pruning her today i was happily surprised when i spotted the very first sugar leaves, which makes me hopeful that the next week its going to be a hell of a week full of potent smells. Furthermore, i think i will be adding just a little bit of 20-20-20 nutrient mix after all by the end of the week. The reason being that i see some pale green/yellow leaves that i am almost certain it is due to some deficiency. However, i need to be careful not to overdo it since i already seem to have nutrient burns from previous weeks. Overall i am happy with how this week is coming to an end, and i am looking forward to an ever better week 11!

Hey the HGMary, you've got burnt tips - a tell tale sign of nutrient burn 🔥 in case you're wondering what to do , flush by watering until run off then add 20% more water, and squeeze out excess water by squeezing the grow bags . You can cut the nutrients by half and still get good results ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

The week has just started, buds started forming and the very first sugar leaves are here! This week is going to be really good!! Day 73: She is growing wild, Trichrome growth is on point. The nutrient burn got a bit worse on a couple of the colas but still i don't think its a call for an alarm. The plan for the following days and week is to feed her pure water in order to help her to get rid of the excess nutrients! :) Day 74: Today she has undergone yet another defoliation session, she is starting to get to the point where defoliation is reaching its limits. Day 76: The week is ending and i couldn't be happier with how she has grown so far! Looking forward to entering week 12, during which i am confident that she will be focusing on bud and sugar leave development! :)

Week 6 of flowering is here, couldn't be happier with the progress so far! Looking forward to yet another good week of growing! Hopefully, i won't be feeding her this week anything else other than pure tap water! :) On day 78 i decided to cut down some of the colas that were mostly underdeveloped, in particular i managed ti spot and cut down 6 of them, I cut them down because they stretched a lot, their leaves were underdeveloped and the future buds were insignificant in size. On day 83 i fed her with my custom nutrient mix for the last time until harvest! :)

Just got into week 13, she seems pretty happy, and i am expecting her to be ready for harvest within the next 14 to 21 days! On day 86 was the last time i fed her with the nutrient mix. From now on, and until the end of the season she will be getting only pure water! This week has been all about fattening up those buds! Thus, not that many photos were posted! On day 90, i cut down some more colas that were largely under developed, and prepped her for the last couple of weeks before harvest! :)

No orange pistils show up yet, i am hoping its another 14 days before the harvest! Looking good so far, she has started giving her fall colors! I am pretty happy so far with the progress. No more nutrients for her, only pure clean water! :) On day 92 i spotted the very first orange pistils which indicates me that indeed she is about 2 weeks before harvest. Day 93: Special thanks to SpinnerCaribbean for all the help he has provided me so far in diagnosing a number on issues on her! This time i doubled the distance of the lighting unit from her, since it seems like it has something to do with burnt out leaves. Day 94: Pistils about 7% turn orange, got a long way before harvest, the smell its getting disgustingly potent. I can't wait for this grow to be over, looking to have a break for a while! Day 95: Today's photos are under the blue lights for a change of photographic feeling! :) Day 97: A number of leaves have some black spots on them for which i am uncertain as to what it is causing it. :(

Do you think the yellowish leaves are because of nutrient deficiency, a nutrient burn, or just her fall colors?
Solved

We can already say it isn't her fall colours ( senescence ) because the yellowing would not come with burn tips/leaves ( check out my blue dream diary , I have scenescance without the burnt ) and a scenescance would have been different , the yellowing would have been on the older leaves first which is not your case. The same for the nutrient deficiency , it would have been from yellowing from the bottom to the top for a mobile nutrient def ( in your case it can looks like a potassium deficiency but it isn't ) or on the new leaves for a immobile nutrient deficiency ( iron, zinc , ect) . So the only solutions that remain are the Nutient burnt and it looks like that in your case , with burnt tips on a perfectly healthy plant OR the light too close from the plant causing this ( 10 cm is low ) so if I were you I would up that led a bit and low a bit my nutrient input 😊

Entering week 15, and i fed her a little bit of 20-20-20 fertilizer because it feels like she needs another 2 weeks before harvest. Only a very small number of pistils have turned orange but it seems like that she still have some weight to add on. There is a small issue with her though, i daily spot leaves that have dark spots on them, which i am not certain as to what to make of. I believe that during this week i will be seeing a lot of pistils turning orange! A little side not that i have failed to mention during the past couple of weeks is that almost daily i have been eliminating side colas that didn't get enough light, in total I estimate that i have eliminated about 20 sub colas that were significantly under developed or did not receive direct led lighting! Day 99 - Fall colors are emerging, loving the shades of purple that started to appear on her! Day 100 - Reached the milestone of 100 days of growing! Nothing changed since last update! Day 101 - About 10% of pistils turned orange so far! Today, was the day she received her very last feeding incorporated in her water. From now on, until the end its only pure water and 320W of led light for her! Day 102 - About 15% of pistils turned orange so far! I've had to improvise in order to assist the main stem in supporting itself, so i've added a little metal stick on the side to push the stem back. Day 103 - More support was added to a couple of colas that needed it! I am continuously amazed by how much she has progressed while controlling for height keeping it around 30 cm high! Day 105 - With week 16 around the corner, she is still growing strong, my current estimates is that she need another 10-14 days before harvest! :)

Nothing much about her this week. Just sitting and waiting for her to be ready for harvest. Day 107 - About 30-35% of pistils have turned orange so far! Day 109 - She is maturing slowly but steadily while at the same time it's visible that she is gaining significant weight! Day 110 - She has started developing fox tails on a couple of stems.

The harvest amount is well more than what i expected it to be, unfortunately i had to chop it down a week or 10 days earlier from what ultimately i wanted to harvest. Looking forward to see next week how much the dry amount will be! :) 15 hours after the harvest i went ahead and trimmed her. The trimming yielded an amount of 28.3 grams if sugar leaves. Dropping the wet bud weight from 457.8 grams down to 429.5 grams. Will let them drying up until p.s. Thanks to SpinnerCaribbean i managed to control for some nutrients deficiencies.
