I think it could've grown more this week but unfortunately the cold weather is controllable only to a certain extent in my grow tent, other than that it seems to be happy and growing calmly.
It was interesting that one of the big fan leaves' veins didn't fully connect with the leaf. The cold is making everything slower but I have no rush. Aside from that all good.
It has been tough handling the low temperature of the grow box do to the place it is in. I am already looking for solutions cause I don't wanna cause more stress to the plant. Other than that everything is going great and I am actually impressed as to how resistant it is and how well it reacted to the LST and defoliation.
I finally stabilized the temperature to ensure at least a decent one for the plant. It seems to be welcoming the change of course. It's been demanding a bit more water and it enjoys a bit more nutrients as it was stated by FB. Looking forward for the next 4 weeks
I started to have problems with calcium and I traced it back to 2 waterings that I didn't check PH and it was lower than the 6.2 I was expecting. I am gonna try and fix this as soon as possible as I can't buy the PH Up until shops are open after New Year's.
It was a rough week for the plant. Had a lot of problems getting rid of the fungus gnats but after some days of constant spraying of neem oil diluted in water, they finally seem to be on their last days. Other than that the plant is starting to get frosty. Hope it manages to heal a bit and bounce back.
It was a busy week, the fungus gnats are persistent and I don't want to use hard chemicals so I am still using Neem oil diluted in water and also Lemongrass essential oil in the diffuser. I am starting to notice the impact of the cold early in the plant life as I think it is gonna take a while longer than expected for harvest.
The smell is very interesting, pleasant and like nothing I have grown so far. I also have to say how resistant this strain has been to all sorts of things, I have 2 GSC seedlings right now and I hope I can improve on my mistakes and get them to be better.
As a last thing I wanted to say that what FB says about the plant taking extra nutes is absolutely correct, I have been adding an extra bit of nutrients every watering and it has taken them with no problems.
It still was a week to control that there are the least fungus gnats as possible. I am confident that the plant has recovered and is swelling slowly. Gonna give it a couple more weeks.
I was extremely busy the last couple of weeks so I still took pictures but didn't upload them. The plant seemed to be recovering really well and swelling. I was planning on chopping it down in week 10 but I could see how the plant still needed a bit more time.
This last week has been a bit nostalgic, this plant was really easy to grow. The adverse conditions came from me so I will be fixing that for the current 2 GSC by Fast Buds I have coming along. I was surprised by how much the plant has swollen in the past 2 weeks, already want to try it!
Definitely daytime stuff, I had two indicas last run and they were great cannabis but I am more of a daytime smoker. It was a breeze to grow, all that went wrong was my bad and not genetics or a propensity by the plant to go bad. I would say I would grow them again but I have 2 GSCs in week 6 right now so you can get the picture ;)
This plant has been amazing honestly, despite the adverse conditions (cold and then fungus gnats) during the first month, this plant was great to grow. I forgot to weight it when I harvested so the wet weight is not available but even with not as many watts it yielded 37g of dried flower. It took 12 days to dry properly and it has been curing for a few days.
I know the flavor and smell will change but still I made a joint out of it after drying just to give it a test and it was delicious. It is covered in trichomes from top to bottom and the smell is very strong. After about 2 secs of opening the jars to burp it leaves a smell for a while.
I feel like this plant had a lot of the Durban poison side of the genetics, it was very uplifting and activating. Definitely a daytime smoke as I smoked and then went on to have a super productive day. I am very excited for the next batch of GSC.
Nice!! What a great report, Im getting excited to grow her.
Im currently germinating one...let's see how it goes.
For what I've been realizing this strain doesn't mind to have a slightly stronger nutrition, am I correct?
Thanks for the diary, it helps a lot 😀
@@TRIPAS1986, hey man great to hear someone growing this strain. I have been smoking this plant and 2 others I grew later on and I can't stress how good daysmoke it is. You will definitely enjoy it. With nutrients I totally agree with what Fast Buds says about it. I gave it slightly higher amounts each week and the plant was enjoying them. Don't exceed tho, go gradually increasing them up to a point where you are sure it is not harming them, you will notice a few days after watering.
Will follow on your grow, happy growing!
@The_Projexx, thanks a lot man! I'm doing what I can given the conditions and the equipment but I have to say that this is strain is very resistant and grower friendly!
nice mate mine are about the same stage, 2 pieces of advice I've learned that'll help you would really recommend not letting them get so cold at night though. That can decrease your yield badly. There's some examples on here if you look around all the people who let them go below 18 degrees at night for some reason gets less than an ounce from a plant. You could also boost the PH to 6.5 for max effect if its an autoflower normal seeds you want 5.8PH and if It's an autoflower you can run it 24hr they don't need to sleep they're genetically developed to not need it so they grow quicker and bud through energy instead of light schedules. If It's a normal feminized seed not an auto your light schedule is perfect though. Good luck
@TheGanjaMan, hi man thanks for stopping by! I have been struggling with the temperature because the place it is in is very cold and it's difficult to raise temperature but since I have bought a heater and things have been stabilizing a lot. Regarding the hours I do 18/6 for saving purposes because 4 more hrs of light a day for such a long time really make a difference where I live. Anyway I know growers that have had beautiful results on the 18/6 schedule. Happy holidays!
@Kiewil1,
Thanks man! I'm am very curious as to how it's gonna go as it's the first time I grow a Fast Buds strain. Feel free to leave questions or tips :)
