Week 9, day 57.... started this week with a feeding of pH 6.0 plain water. Hope she start to fatten up really soon. I'm going to take it a little light with the feeding this week because I gave her some nutrient burn.i also noticed some of her older leaves are getting a little yellow, is that something I should worry about? Day 58..... she's ok, took a few pictures of her leaves that has those dull spots. Hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. I see very little progress with her buds swelling. I do have a heater in my tent which is right next to this plant(not facing or touching) and I was reading about heat stress, could it be that she's this tall because of it? I did switch around my 2 plants in the tent. I'll monitor and let you guys know in a few days. Day 59.....this plant is really big, she's taking up more than half of my tent. About the deficiency, I don't know exactly what it is but I tested the ppm runoff and it's about 3500 which is really high. I honestly never tested the ppm of my feedings. She's going to get a nice flush and I'll be monitoring my ppm from now on. He buds do seem to be fattening up slowly but it's noticable every day. Day 60.....well her leaves are looking better but you can see the nutrient burn on the tips. This plant looks very different from the rest of @fast_buds girl scout cookies. I just hope she swell up before she's ready to harvest. Day 61......took a look at her trichomes and to me they look milky. I don't know if her buds will get any bigger. 😥. Day 63......last day of week 9, gave her pH 6.0 plain water today. Took a macro shot of her trichomes, let me know what you guys think.

Seed started off fine. Germinate well, half inch tap root, placed in 3 gal. pot. 12 hours after she broke surface and that was it. At day 2 no new growth. Noticed the two leaves have brown on the tips. Temps are 75-80, humidity is at 60% and only use 6ph water. Help....

You might have damaged the root when handling it. Give it a few days.

Is it ok to defoliate some fan leaves from Auto flower plants? If not please give me some suggestions. Thank you.

hey Jaggie, it's okay to defoliate, but what may be just plucking some leaves for you for the plant it's actually HST, most of the time it's not necessary or worth it to defoliate because the plant simply needs those leaves to absorb light, plus you don't yet know which leaves will become branches during the flower stretch... I would definitely wait before defoliation maybe see if there are any small flower nodes down the branch that will stay small, if you remove those small flower nodes it will make the other flowers bigger but if you defoliate i guess it will only shock or stunt the plant. hope this helps ! 🚀

Is it too late to put in a trellis net in my tent?if so, is there anything I can do so my buds won't touch the light because it seems like this plant wants to touch it and she keeps growing. Will she ever stop growing vertically?

woah what an absolute beast , and this for gens reputed to be short and stocky. Next time you can SCROG but main thing is to watch that lamp to plant distance bro ! she's got legs on her though, i'll give you that ! I know this isn't the answer you're looking for but there's nothing you can do by now. One thing i will say about trellis nets is that i've seen plants basically not give a hoot and push forth like it was nothing, i'm trying to coat some metal chicken wire in some plastic coating , that's what i'll be using to thread my ladies through. I've seen folks get better yields SCROGing one plant than SOGing 6 so yeah looking forward to this, and for your next time, so should you ! Good news is that the GSCs stop growing end of week 8, you're at the end basically, she'll start to buff out and should be ready in 2 weeks ! Sorry for the tough answer, but it's the truth ! hope this helps ! 🚀

What the ideal temperature and humidity level when drying and curing in jar? And how often do I have to burp once placed in jars?

I'm tempted to say that the best humidity range is around 58/62% in the jar ( based on the boveda humidity packs ) , don't know about the exact temps, just that you need to keep the jar in the dark and cool place. You open your jar daily during the 1st week ( 5-15min ) then every 2 or 3 days during the 2 next weeks then once a week during 5 min will be enough 😊

@Frosty_farm to answer the question its never to late to use the Scrog to hold plants down from the light. It is however to late to use it for the main purpose of creating individual colas and an even canopy for even growth. You can use a scrog right to lower the plant from the light to prevent problems, but your buds size wont be effected like in a typical scrog.

@CRiSPrGrow, I hear that. Thanks for the info.

@Frosty_farm, sticks and ties is what i used to hold her up, trellis is to hold her down, some folks use netting to hold up the plant, but only because they're scrogging all wrong lol... what i can say right now though is that if you get some lights on all sides , she's liable to get mf fat and she'll need support for damn sure lol
Frosty_farm
Frosty_farm
@CRiSPrGrow, I do have about (4) cheap one foot square led panels that I can place around her. Maybe I'll try it out. I really do feel that I need to put a trellis on her to hold her up.

@Frosty_farm,It is a good reason to do it ! Can I qsk you what is your light and what is the side of your grow space ? I think that the result is really good , the plants stays shorts and bushy so the light seems to do the job and with that space I would try to scrog but it can be tricky to water after that
Frosty_farm
Frosty_farm
@OutForReal, I did defoliate some leaves about a week ago and it didn't seem to bother her. I was thinking to do a few more leaves because I would send down the humidity level a bit in the tent.

To answer your question: You can put the trellis, but it will not help you at this point and yes there's something you can do: super cropping, that is taking a still pliable stem between your thumb and forefinger and firmly press until you hear/ feel a crunch; the skin will remain undamaged and you will be able to bend the branches / top in 90°. I've done it thorough flowering when facing similar issues. Good luck

@@Athos,ok thank you. That will be my weekend work. 😊
Athos
Athos
@Frosty_farm, no it will not affect the plant or the yield. The plant will start righting itself after 4 to 5 days. Actually you will have to tie it down to hold it in a bent position.
Frosty_farm
Frosty_farm
@@Athos, if I do super crop, will it affect the plant? Because it's an autoflower. And also if I do super crop I would definitely need to put a trellis?

@Wicked_Stix, I honestly didn't have any issue with them. To me they work, they have to be a little higher your plants and it requires your growing temperature to be just a little bit hotter

@CRiSPrGrow, looks like a Dr grinspoon strain. I will let her ride until her trichomes start getting amber since she has sativa characteristics. Then again I have no idea what I'm doing lol, so if anyone has advice feel free to message me on this so called girl scout cookies.

That looks like it has a lot of ruderalis in it also sativa oh, I'm going the same strain now and buds are very dense plant is short and stocky but with hybrid leaves more on the sativa side a little bit skinny good job demand it was a beast of a plan I would have lollipop to a little more and I don't know if you gave any microbes like recharge or great white to the soil with a couple on organic amendments with this plant does very well with this
Frosty_farm
Frosty_farm
@rypat1992, a few days into flower I realized that it wasn't going to be like the other gsc. I I also noticed that she was stretching fast, at least 35 inches tall. I didn't use microbes, all I used was floramicro, florabloom, and the advanced nutrients line for coco. She was a monster of a plant, good root and stalk. Just wish she buds were more compact because it was a bitch to trim. Looks like she is 100% sativa. The smell is amazing and and very sticky

Your girls growing vry dense and the nodes are very close together, rise your light, so that they have to stretch, and the distances between the nodes will enlarge . In that stage its difficult to see anything and i wont tuck away any leave try first to give more distance from plant to light
Frosty_farm
Frosty_farm
my tent is only 63 inches high. I did put my grow light to the highest spot for about a week but she didn't stretch. I'm running a 300watt and a 600watt led in this little tent. I think these plants are too happy with the lights and they don't want to stretch.
