First time with RQS, first time with QuantumBoards. Let's see how this goes, I'm confident those lights and this strain will give me great results. I dropped 2 seeds but may proceed to selection if they show disparities. Stay tuned folks 👋
They both look good so I will keep them all. They were transplanted into 9L airpots and do really enjoy the QuantumBoards. I built a sort of table to collect the runoff, this will allow me to water the babies automatically in a near future. Stay tuned!
They are growing fast! Damn I was not ready for this and I did wait too long to proceed to LST. I broke one of the main stems on OG_2, shit happens...lesson learned. Still, very happy with these babies, 28 days old now.
Growth is really intense and I must think about flipping them into flowering soon. Maybe ~2 more weeks of veg, let's see how they stretch in the next days. No issue at all.
Last week in the vegetative stage for these OGs, they're already tall and full of nodes so I'm flipping into flowering light schedule NOW! Let's see how they will flower 😍 I'm expecting fat and sticky buds but my room is quite overcrowded, I may encounter trouble managing the RH and airflow. Thanks for stopping by! 👊
Let's flower these OGs 😎 They have been under 12/12 for a week and started to stretch like crazy, probably because of the overcrowded room, my mistake. Still, they have great shapes and should produce nice buds within the next weeks.
Stretch seem to be over and both plants are now showing more & more pistils everyday. The preflowers are beautiful, they look very compact, hopefully the buds will be solid as a rock 👍
Thanks for stopping by & see you next week 👊
I finally managed to decrease my relative humidity thanks to a new electric dehumidifier. They both had an impressive stretch but it should be over now, they're expanding buds and praying the light in a nice way. I'm not really happy with the inter-node spaces but I can't blame the genetics, my overcrowded room is mostly responsible for this. Anyway each stem managed to access to the light and buds are slowly building up 😎 Thanks for stopping by, see you next week!
The bud structure is interesting, and buds are already covered with sugar. Too bad they both stretched a lot because I'm loosing some bottom nugs but I will definitely grow this strain again, in a non-overcrowded grow room. They should be ready soon, 3 weeks max I guess. Thanks for stopping-by & see you next week 😎
They were very similar for the whole run, the only difference is that the FIMed one has a few more colas than the TOPped one. Despite an overcrowded room, they have already managed to produce some fat colas, very impressed considering it's only the middle of their flowering stage 😎 About ~3 weeks from harvest now. Stay tuned!
So far so good, the room is no more overcrowded so I've decided to use a net in order to open up the OGs and increase light penetration on the bottom nugs. They went through a serious defoliation but did not seem to bother. They already smell amazing, and are frosty has hell. RQS did a great job breeding this genetic, and I'm glad I took a clone of the best pheno, this will allow me to re-grow a mainlined OG with better conditions.
Last days for these beauties, they had their last meal and will be on flush until harvest, which should happen during the next new moon. The smell is incredible and they are covered with resin 😍 Stay tuned for the harvest update!

I made a clone of the best pheno, I will start a new diary and build a crazy manifold up to 8 or 16 apical summits 😎
What a beast! These plants had a vigorous growth and produced heavy rounded colas. Gigantic leaves so defoliation is not an option. I did not control the stretch as I usually do but they still managed to put weight on the scale. Really easy to grow and a high quality product in the end. Thank you RQS for this awesome strain!
This was an easy and productive run. The 2 plants grew up in an overcrowded environment, and as a result, they did stretch a lot. Nodes were spaced but this wasn't a real issue since they both produced a decent weight. Fun/Strange fact: the TOPped one produced 77 grams and the FIMmed one produced 84 grams, very close results with two different methods. I took a clone of the FIMmed one, and it's already 50cm tall, almost ready to flower. The buds are compact and solid as a rock, the earthy taste is hard to describe but 100% unique and yummy. I'm totally in love with this strain!
Hey man really interested in the grow youve got going on! love the grow light. I am using a hlg qb V2 135 watt, what exactly are you using? I like the table you built that? you have any better pictures of it? id love to see it my wife has been playing around with different types of way to collect the run off. right now im using a turkey baster and it sits on a tiered pallet. but i like yours a lot more 😉
Happy Growing!
@FoxyLoxy, I know this is an old post but have you considered a syphon hand pump? It would greatly speed up the process and was a necessity on my last grow when draining runoff. Just a thought and good luck👍👊
@FoxyLoxy, Hi! I've just added some more pictures of the setup on week2. Basically it's just a big tray drilled multiple times and 2 smaller trays to collect the water below the main one. The top layer (main tray) lies down on a DIY wood fixture, almost like a table. Hope this will help 👊
The trichs getting nice and milky already! Or is that just the photo? Looking great man! You should try and take clones based on taste and effect, to my opinion rest is secondary, and pheno's growth specifics should match anyway. I really can't get enough from this strain, and the R.Q.S. is damn tasty! 👌
@Budcrack, mostly clear but loads of trichomes! I really like the bud structure one of them is showing so I think it is a good start, if the smoke is bad I will certainly throw the clone away. Thanks for your comment! 👊
@Black_Magic, I don't think so, Kush strains are usually more Indica, meaning they tend to be compact and flower quickly. My OGs from RQS should be ready after 8 weeks in flowering stage.
Hi man, i wil follow you on this diary! Good luck. Right now i have a OG Kush grow from 3 different seedhouses, i also have 4 RQS plants. Nice strain, i've had them before. They come up slow, but grow into nice plants with the best MJ! 😉
very nice grow 👌
if you want to try other RQS genetics I can recommend the Royal Cheese for its awesome flowering speed and flavour as well as the Royal Gorilla.
Enjoy your smoke bro 👽
