Well GreenCrack#1 and SantaMartaHaze#2 looking good. All the rest seams like stun. Aspesialy SantaMartaHaze#1. And i wonder why? Same soil, same conditions, same nutrient, same doseage... The only reasons i can tell: not stable genetics and old stock seeds... Feeding dayly, 6 days a week, with all those nutrients at once. BioRHIZOTONIC rises the pH dramaticaly, - 4ml/l from 6.6 to 8.2. But BioVega lows the pH dramaticaly as well, - 1ml/l from 8.2 to 6.7. Than Acti-Vera lows the pH a bit, - 4ml/l from 6.7 to 6.5 so was first week. Now at second week i needed to rise the pH of solution cause it gets to low - 5.8. I use GHE pH UP cause i've heard its ok for organics and microbes. I've start to use foliar spray: 3ml/l BioRhizotonic, 5ml/l Acti-Vera, 1ml/l VoodooJuies, 1ml/l Tarantula, 1ml/l DiamondNectar. After adding all this nuts i've got 7.1pH, wich is to high. I use as pH lower balsamic vinegar becouse it has some fructose in it - 0.25ml/l from 7.1 lows to 6.5. As well once a week i add a half teaspoon of honey per 1liter of the feeding solution to feed the microbes. Finaly i found the true reason for my stuning plants. Sorry for to blame the breaders for unstable genetics... Nobudys fault but mine! I use resiceled soil and the pots was standing outside under the rain for a few months one on another. The upper pots get flushed correctly, but those wich was under, get the doble portion of old nutrients... I am such an...😳

Plant them, they are not supposed to stay in water that long.

Hey there @CrazyDiamond. This question is still open so I take you are wanting more information? I see the BCNPowerPlant#2 seedling and its brown tipped taproot that are referencing. Im the majority of these situations where the seedling succeeds to break and the taproot is on its way out failure is caused by the environment as apposed to genetics. It looks highly probable than an environmental condition caused this seedling to not survive after breaking free. This could be many things, however given that your other seeds split just fine I will focus on just a few possibilities that are likely. Most likely scenario is that light was able to reach the taproot and inhibit its growth. Second most likely scenario is a change in temperature that shocked this little guy while it was breaking out. It appears you are using paper towels to germinate - I would highly recommend germinating directly into the soil to increase chances of success vastly. Even little seedlings have a directional sense called Geotropism and can find which way is down just fine! Hope I helped resolve your questions CrazyDiamond! Feel free to ask me anything else you had in mind! 😎

Personally I think the issue you may be having is a very simple one and I'm happy to help. Firstly it's important to note that Cannabis prefers a PH in between 5.5 and 6.5. (Though you really want to swing for 5.8 - 6.2 for your PH). The best way to germinate seeds is ideally the way nature intended it to be. You want to replicate the circumstances for which seed germination happens in nature. Seeds typically germinate in nature by being dropped off the plant naturally or being placed in the an area by animals doing natures work for us. The conditions that the seeds normally germinate in piles of leaves on the ground. The environment that this takes place in is one of great humidity and darkness..... most importantly to note.... no nutrients/soil. Just regular water typically derived from humidity. The best way most people replicate this is a dark Tupperware container with an air tight lid that has a moist paper towel in it to simulate the conditions of wet leaves on a forest floor. Once the seeds germinate in that environment it is then important to gently place them in a pot with soil very gently as to simulate what would happen in nature where the plant would slowly root itself in the soil/leaf pile and reach up towards the light breaking. Granted there are other methods for doing this that are much more 'cultivar' if you will, but we aren't interested in being fancy... just getting the job done and doing it in a way the plant is going to understand whats going on.

the rhiz raises the PH and the nutes have some sort of sugars in them which makes the bacteria come, that plus the light which is really bad for the early germination means they pop but get taken over by the bacteria... germination is stressful ! 🚀

es yes yes, in such sensitive stage less is more,. Take regular lukewarm water to let them germinate Into a glass for up to 24 hours, after theyve soaked put them humid and dark, (toiletpaper, kitchensponge whatever) Roots hate Light. You can look into my diaries, nice pictures how to do it. Seeds are very sensitive is the numbr of your daily watering of each plant correct=?

@Mrs_Larimar, as i told you i've surch the web very good to get any info about germination. Another thing i've never tryed is to presoak seeds in a spesial germination solution. After the web resurch i found folowing solutions: Plagron SeedBooster, Canna Start, BAC Xseeds(mineral so its not for me, - i am organic grower), GO BioRootsPlus(organic). Unfortunately only Canna Start is aviable in my country, as well its not exactly seed presoak its a solution for seedlings and clons

Hi @CrazyDiamond! Keep it stupid and simple: plain pH'd water (from the tap), a drop of Rhizotonic, and you're good to go. May I ask about your germination environment? What's the water temp? Where do you put your seeds when germinating? Are they 100% protected from any source of light? How long do you leave them in water? Another option would be to put your seeds with some wet paper towel in a sealed plastic bag, in a dark place for 24-48h until the shell open, then plant them delicately in your medium, with the help of a spoon or any small (and clean) tool. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@Mrs_Larimar, BCNPowerPlant, SantaMartaHaze, DurbanPoison and GreenCrack from LindaSeeds. BlueDream'matic i get from Fast Buds directly. BCNPowerPlant is the most underrated - 16 seeds - 1 germinated. DurbanPoison and GreenCrack are the champions - all of the seeds germinated sucssessfuly within 72 houers.

CrazyDiamondcommented6 years ago
@Stick, i've surch the web for to long and i know every single germination method and i've tryed it all with no sucssess - seeds get open (if get open) then stun and rot. Not all of them of cource, you can see 9 plants in my tent. But to get this 9 plants i needed to waist 30 seeds! Got damn it...

@Fast_Buds, thank you guys for a good luck! I realy need it. I like your genetics very much! It tastes and high like an old exlusive wine, but when it comes to germination, here i need some luck! This is the first time i've surpriced for good with your GreenCrack, i've got from LindaSeeds. I pick two seeds and both of them succsesfuly germinated! But Bluedream'matic, i've got from you guys directly, not doing so well, - from 15 seeds germinated only 3 so far. I've harvest them few weeks ago. For this diarie not even one. I've got 4 seeds in a glass for two days now. Another 4 they sisters got rot. And i've got another 5 stored in the fridge. The same thing with BCN PowerPlant(LindaSeeds), but worse, - from 15 seeds 0 germinated so far. What do you say about it guys?

I’ve noticed that germinating the seeds in water for 18-24 hours and then planting helps the plant sprout quicker and the plant grows better
CrazyDiamond
CrazyDiamondcommented6 years ago
@Curtain_Glow, its all right when you dealing with fresh stock seeds and stable genetics. But when you've got bad seeds its got rotten no matter what you do. I've tryed every germination methods: 24 howers presoak in water, than plant them in Jiffy7; put them in plastic box with papper towel, plant them staight in the soil... Nothing seamed to help much. The only thing i didn't try is to presoak them in tap water, couse its full of chlorine, fluoride and other shit. But may be chlorine and fluoride its good for seedlings becouse it kills any bacteria?... Next round i will try that, but allso i will buy some germination solution, something like CannaStart or Plagron SeedBooster or BAC Xseeds.

GreenCrack#1 and SantaMartaHaze#2 are rocking. Explosive root growth! The roots brake out the SmartPots from the bottom and sides. I think to buy few dark colored plastic basins with same diameter as the SmartPots 33cm, make some holes in a bottom, to let the roots grow through it, put them up side down and sit on them the SmartPots. What do you think about this idea?
CrazyDiamond
CrazyDiamondcommented6 years ago
@Mrs_Larimar, what i'm atempt to do, its not exectly what that guy did. My idea is to let the roots grow in to a hollow space of up side down basins - no substrat in it, just an air. But for to keep this hollow space at high humidity and to prevent the roots to sit straight in the drained water, i think to put some clay pebbels at the bottom. So it will be a sort of organic airoponics...

CrazyDiamondcommentedweek 26 years ago
For example i will take out another one BCNPowerPlant and try to germinate it in tap water to see whats happening and may be to replace the SantaMartaHaze#1 wich is almost dead.
CrazyDiamond
CrazyDiamondcommentedweek 16 years ago
Well 1 BCNPowerPlant pump out. Another one and 1 BlueDream'matic will pump out in the next few days. Haleluya!!! And i finaly found the ultimate germination nutrien - BioBizz Acti-Vera! When you dealing with very old stock seeds, that was stored in a deep freazer, in the couse of defrost and tuff delivery conditions they lose its amio-acids and vitamins. As well the hardness of shell makes it hard to water to penetrate it. So first of all i scared the seeds with sand papper than put them in glass of RO water with pH 6.5 with BioRhizotonic, Acti-Vera, VoodooJuies, Tarantula & B-52. Acti-Vera & B-52 recharge the seeds with vitamins and amino-acids. BioRhizotonic, VoodooJuies & Tarantula provide the faster growth. So from now i will use Acti-Vera in my every growth.
