Buds, So happy with the way these ladies are turning out, I plucked a few clones from current grow and here they are. First day out in public. Signs of transplant stress are still evident but that was in the past. They are now starting to take off and growing quickly. These are not big plants despite all the sativa genetics. Perhaps I won't top this run? I have 4 Cindy XX's and 2 Durban Thai Cindy XX's. It's pretty obvious why this strain is used for breeding purposes. The bud quality is excellent. Solid, smelly, strong effects, great structure. Not too fussy. fast maturing. This is not light weight stuff for sure. It'll blow newbie brains out. I am looking forward to deploying her effects on friends, because I am evil like that. ;-) Happy growing GD friends.

Grow mates, The ladies are growing well but not without some stress as shown by the reddish petioles. Riding it out. I think its more environmental than nutritional. I have a new fixture also, its a Kind LED X 40 light bar. Nice build but twice as intense as the fluorescents. All clones were taken during veg cycle but are currently revegging. WTF. Not complaining though. This has turned into an unintended example of monster cropping! I will take the cue and play to advantage. Cheers all.

The girls are sunning themselves under the big light now, transitioning from the veg closet which was underlit. They are taking time to hit their stride. Leaves are suffering from too much light. They are only just now getting past the revegging stage and showing 5 leaflets per leaf. Going to pot up to 3 gals pots and let them settle in early. 3 more weeks of Veg to go. Hope to be in good shape by then. Cheers and happy growing, grow mates.

Grow buds. I am off traveling. Might be passing through Humbolt on the way. We'll see. I have transplanted the girls up to 3 gals. Topped and shaped them as well. Nice bushes in the making, we have here. They are drinking a max of 8oz per day. Going to feed them enough to last 10 days, hopefully, or else I'll be looking a dead garden on my return. Fingers crossed. Fly safe during the holiday season, friends.

12 days home alone and they are still alive! Fried, but alive. I should never rely on those ppfd meters to compare lighting levels of veg space with flower space. I continued, somewhat knowingly, to stress the girls with too much light despite what my eyes were telling me. wtf. They are in late stage of recovery now and should be ready to flip sometime within the next two weeks. I have 8 tops per plant. I am opening the bushes up with a little lst and will trellis them. DT is growing more vigorously than Cindy. One might expect that. I am using a feed what they need watering strategy, which is about 8 oz every day. I am perimeter pot watering using at FWWF frequency. I visited Wonderland (Mecca for me) while in Humbolt county. Briefly met a visiting Mr Humboldt seed co himself and the Wonderland team. Came away with some excellent clones and shipped them east. If you are interested. Check out the diary. Cheers grow mates.

GD friends, DT seems to be recovering quickly and well. Leaves are full sized now and new growth is becoming more vigorous. Cindy xx is slower in recovery. Leaves are not yet full size but I hope they will be in a week. Running these ladies for another 2 weeks and will reassess the situation before flipping into flower. I have set the schedule back a month for light stressing them. Hopefully, they will make a full recovery. I am supplementing 1/2 of the grow with cal mag, testing the depth of mag deficiency problem. I would expect to see a difference in growth in a week or so. Let's see. I am supplementing every 3 days x 3@ 250ppm and then feeding A+B 380ppm. cheers and happy growing to all.

GD friends, Cindy is having a harder time recovering from the light damage compared to DT. Going to veg. another 2 weeks and reassess. I have dropped the lighting levels again. 20/45/45. Hoping the girls can grow into it these levels but I have been majorly wrong already once this run. I hope I am not wrong again. We'll see. Ppm's at 380 max. on feeding. 250 at waterings.

Grow-buds. This grow is a test of my patience, but we are getting there with the canopy. Probably still another 2 weeks away before the flip. Dropping all supplements. A+B only. Not sure if its the dimming of the lighting, lighting in reverse, that is screwing with leaf quality or that they are still recovering, or thirdly, the supplements contributing to this? Anyway, girls are on the rebound. Full sized leaves are just around the corner.

Grow buds, It would have taken less time to start again but here we are. We are in the zone, finally. Light intensity and feeding are in balance for the plants. The mag. deficiency is abating. Red petioles are turning green. Leaf quality is improving. Cindy is going through a re-veg stage from stepping down the lighting levels a few weeks back. Therefore canopy texture on the right side of the grow is different. Many of these leaves have only 3 fingers. As soon as I have full 7 fingered leaves, I am flipping. Probably still 2 weeks away or 2 nodes away from flowering. Durban Thai Cindy did not show such sensitivity to light and could be flipped to flower now. Happy growing all.

Surprisingly, the reveg Cindy is doing well pistil wise. These plants are lusher and denser than the DT. Defoliated all plants 7 days ago but not heavily. The Cindy's have single and triple finger fan leaves from re vegging therefore not much to defoliate anyway. The Cindy has monster cropped. You can see the incidence of pistil crowns is greater. This is not going to be a large grow. Hoping to harvest quality if not weight. best wishes all.

Pistils on Cindy are looking spaghetti good and their crowns are stacking more tightly than last run. DT pistil development is a bit more wire-like which was true last time also. I am lower on nutes this round also. The flower smell is now perceivable. Frost is evident. Light is on full spectrum 85/85/85. of 750Watts at 24" above the canopy, on a light mover. Ramping up part B so the ratio is adding more magnesium to the mix. Girls are on a myco diet so I am on low ppm feed also. After a sucky start, we're in a better place right now. Shooting photos through my garden shades. Not working that well. Looking for easy breezy technique that doesn't require hanging a fluorescent each time. Cheers grow mates.

Grow mates, Plants are skinny for reasons previously mentioned but developing on schedule. Pistils are in better shape than last round though, and the ladies are getting sticky and smelly, especially Cindy who finishes a week earlier than DT Cindy. Lower nute levels I suspect is the reason or the addition of silicic acid et al. Plants may be skinny but all pots have tons of roots packed into the 3 gallons smart pots so quality should be achievable. I don't really care about weight.

Grow buds, DT Cindy is performing nicely. Cindy, on the other hand, is producing quality buds but after her poor recovery from re-vegging, they are subpar skinny ass buds. We're in the last 3-4 weeks before harvest so this grow will be over soon enough. I threw in a trellis to prop up Cindy's poor weak little branches. All good though. Cindy swells nicely so there is that... so long as I don't inadvertently infect the ladies with russet mites from next door, I'll be thankful to get through with this grow.

Hi Buds, 3 weeks to go for DT, 2 weeks for Cindy. DT is looking solid as she swells. The bud and pistils have the shape of an upside-down strawberry. Cindy, on the other hand, wears a tiara of clingy orange hairs. Both flowers have a very distinct character. What you see in photos are pictures of DT mainly. She's in the foreground. Cindy is in the rear. I have been feeding A/B in a ratio that is in advance of what it says on the bottle. Watering this round. I am expecting to fade into the finish. Let's see. Happy growing all. .

Grow mates, I have been sampling Cindy. As skinny assed as she is, for reasons previously explained, these girls are dank and sticky. Based on what kind of high I am getting and the amber trichomes I am seeing, she could be chopped today. For the last run, I may have run Cindy too long. Her post cure effects were almost overwhelming. I don't think I am going to bulk these babies up by going much beyond the harvest opening window at F 56. The amber trichomes are quite dark. and @5% tops. After a vape or two, the head is still very clear and the effects are very strong, pre harvest, pre cure, like in mental phase shifting kind of way. She is very trippy without feeling like your brains crankshaft is broke. Lighting is now tuned to 60/100/100. More blue less red increases resin and trichome production, so they say. I am testing. Happy growing all.

Grow mates, Cindy is showing her urmine-like cloak of slushy trichomes and she's fading nicely. Nugs are small but tight. I screwed up veg. badly but here we are. Structure of the plants is super skinny (reveg), buds are falling over, lots of 3 fingered leaflets are present on the fan leaves but managed to make good quality buds all the same even though the plant morphology and quantity is way off. Buds are still sticky and smelly at the harvest window. I have found the sweet spot for my lighting. There is a small percentage of trichomes showing amber. She is vaping nicely right now and therefore my reasoning for not waiting much longer before the chop. Looking forward to next run. Happy growing all.

UPDATE june 15. Durban Thai Cindy 99 When I smell her I can so easily imagine what its like to sniff petrol. She has a very intense diesel/pine smell. You might recoil. Its pleasant though. A bit medicinal. Very trippy effects, Energizing. good for the evening as well as the day. Good with a view. Strong strong effects. Update May 28. Vaping May 2 harvest after 5 days of drying. Mason-jarred at 64%. RH holding at 64% 3 weeks later. My version of dankness. I think Cindy showed me what psychedelics mean with pot. You think you are totally lucid even when completely bent. 😳 One of the nicest plants I have grown so far. Great structure and calyx to leaf ratio. Both Cindy and DTCindy frost up nicely. The stone is intense, creative, and mind-bending. This run, while not impressive for reasons previously discussed, produced results of a higher quality than the last run. A good strain for the experienced user as the ceiling is not that evident. You can enjoy getting higher and higher until at some point you just fall over. I would grow these strains again and probably will. Lots of notable breeders have used Cindy for breeding. If you are keen to try your hand, this is the strain to use. Check my previous run to see a more representative expression of this princess of pot. Happy growing all..

Its harvest day. Picking a week earlier than last run. These are sativa strains and after running long on the last run and getting lots of lovely colors in the leaves, I am foregoing the full fade for a cleaner mental trip effect from the high. Cindy has been plucked and curing in jars. I nailed the initial drying phase by maintaining the correct humidity in the drying area. So much easier to get to dankness this way. Looking forward to the next run.0000

How was wonderland? Super cool??? I’m real jealous dude - got me some Humboldt beans in the line up. Should have some 707 headband up in about a month or so. Anything from out there is worth a look as far as I’m concerned. Good luck with the bud cycle on this one - glad she made it through👍👌

Hi Bud, Wonderland has recently moved to a new location that reminds me of a big general store in the middle of the redwoods, which it is. The dispensary is a new build within the store and cleverly done by a couple of young L.A. based architects. The Wonderland nursery itself is set up under the store on a lower level accessible from the back. It's discrete operation but no doubt conforming to the security needs and regs imposed by the state. Inside its an enfilade of clone rooms one after the other opening off the hallway. Its an all LED operation. Fluence full spectrum fixtures, as well as Kind LED strips. A nice bunch of guys. Kevin Jodrey is visionary no doubt and has big plans for the area. I believe they are looking to be the Napa of pot, Humbolt version. They have recently installed an airstrip, apparently. Bud, your beans from the Humbolt seed company have to be good. The top talents in the area are all working together to advance the best genetics. Good luck with your grow. I'll be following along.

@Tazard, Kind K5 XL 750. Took some getting used to but I like it now I know how to use it. Spectrum tuning is a plus and you can do that with this fixture. If I was buying a new fixture, I would probably buy one that creates an evenly lit footprint. ie made up of bar lights configured in a grid.

@MG2009, Kevin has a good brain to pick. He has produced many informative and inspiring vids which can be found on Youtube. You probably know about these already. Shango Los documents many of them. Do you follow? I didn't meet him this visit. Met his son in the past, Jorge and his crew this time. Visits are by appointment only these days. It was a 3 hour trip out into the boonies to get there but so worth it. Some of the best genetics are to be found here, not surprisingly. Some of the cuts I have aren't available in seed form either so I am looking forward to growing them out. The guys were pretty excited by the Mac 1 clone. If they are excited, then so am I!! Cheers MG.
