I started my very first grow at 19.05.24. I placed the seeds in a Peat Pallet inside a plastic box and made sure to let a slight crack open. I gave 3 sprays per plant every 12 hours with the spray bottle and closed the lid until the RH reached around 80% and kept the temperature between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Surprisingly Frosted Guave came as a twin. I had to remove the rest of the seed from the head of the bigger one. When I placed them into the final pot, I wanted to separate them but at the bottom I saw that they had only one root and a separation will end in death for one of them. So I decided to keep both alive and let Mother Nature decide who’s going to survive.
The plan was to place the plants outside on my balcony. Bough 5 30L-pots, filled them with 40% with Biobizz All-Mix, 40% Floragard Professional Grow-Mix and on top with 20% Biobizz Light-Mix. The idea was to avoid fertilizer, have an easy growing by just adding some water. But it didn’t worked out: first of all: the plants came a lot faster than I’ve expected. Second the weather forecast changed completely and while I was prepared for a sunny summer day weather, a was completely unprepared for a week of rain and temperatures under 10 degrees Celsius during the nights. So my Homeoffice became my growbox:
First I placed the pots on a sheet to cover the floor from damage. Second I installed a photoreflector. Then o positioned a dyson van which is rotating at speed Nr. 2. and I placed my Photo- Videolight LED from Godox to give them at least some light.
Watering: bevor placing the Peat Pallet inside the Soil, I sprayed a lot of water on the soil and waited around 10 minutes. After I was digging a small hole and placed the complete Peat Pallet into the soil (24.05). After 2 days I sprayed 90-100ml around the plant in 3 steps (33ml-20min-33ml-20min-33ml).
By End of the Week I ordered a Spiderfarmer Sf600 full spectrum LED with 75w wich should be enough support at the beginning.
Received the SF600 on Tuesday 28.05. First light since 29.05. The days before I brought the Plants outside my balcony and they revived the sunlight (as much as we got and only in the beginning of the day).
01.06 watering with 150 ml each.
03.06-04.06 (night) watering with 270 ml each. Added some soil because the plants started to grow a reached 7cm (frosted Guave) even more. So I added just enough, so the leave are not touching the ground and get more stabilized.
Trainwreck show signs of some stress. Guess I had the spot to close and burned some of the leaves.
The plants start to smell like cannabis.
New week started with a pseudo LST for the Frosted Guave twins: while adding soil Ivebent them away from each other so the can get more light, because the leaves of the big one started to cover the small one.
08.06 watering with 300 ml each.
The week started with spider mites. I saw them on the frosted guava and decided to take all of my plants outside to separate them a little even if the temperatures dropped under 10 degrees Celsius. Also I found a cockchafer in the room which had obviously time to spread his eggs.
After I did this, the amount of spider mites reduced.
I ordered some predatory mites and nematodes which I will use as soon as the will arrive.
11.06 I watered the plants with 150+150+150 ml pure water. It’s the last bottled water. From here the plants will get only tap water.
14.06 released the nematodes with around 1-1,2L for each plant.
15.06 released the predatory mites on a wet kitchen paper towel
16.06 LST Frosted Guava
All of the Plants have their issues.
Try to work with them by spraying Neemoil in the night from 18.06 - 19.06
Watering in the same night with 200-300-400
Started the week by watering in the night from 24.06 - 25.06 with 300-400-400.
Biscotti is now (25.06) 57 cm high. The other ones are smaller.
Biscotti, Jack Herer and Blueberry are already flowering since around 5 days. Frosted Guava is starting to show her first nodes with hairs.
Train Wreck is starting lol pretty small and looks a little bit sick. But still he’s growing.
I sprayed also neem Oil (1ml in 0,5 ml warm water and with just a drop of kitchen soap) over Frosted Guava and Train Wreck when I watered them (24.06-25.06). Since then the spider mites very rarely appear.
29.06 watering with 400-400-400ml and with added Biobizz Fish-Mix (haven’t seen that I should switch in the flowering period to Bio-Grow), Top-Max and Bloom.
Watering with normal water 400-400-400
Watering at the 11.07 400ml-400ml-400ml without Fish-Mix.
The smell changed a little bit to a general fresh Cannabis Smell. But if I bent the Buds a little bit, the characters of the individual strain comes again but a little less than two weeks ago. It’s more „greenish“.
18.07 watering with 400ml - 400ml - 400 ml
Blueberry got only water
Trainwreck got Bloom, Top-max and Fish-Mix
All the others got only Top-Max and Bloom.
Search everyday for some spidermites or something else. On some days I find a few on blueberry and Biscotti. I remove the manually.
21.07 watering with 400 - 400 - 400 water.
Again: blueberry only water
All the others Top-Max and Bloom
Trainerwechsel started to flower.
The leaves of Blueberry and Biscotti started to get yellow. Also removed some leaves with were down in the shadow of the top strains of frosted guava.
25.07 Watering with 200 - 400 - 400 - 400
Used only 4ml/L TOP-Max (honestly I forgot about the fact, that I have to use the BioBizz Products only once in a week and I already added 4ml before I realized it…)
26.07 my neighbor complained about the smell one store under my balcony (told me he can smell it on the street 50 meters behind my balcony)
28.07 watering 400 - 400
The plants got water at 01.08.
I think this time it’s the last time I watered blueberry. The Trichoms starting to get brown.
Blueberry got 400 - 400 - 400
All the others got Biobizz Bloom 4ml/1L and Top-Max 4ml/1L with 400ml - 500ml - 500ml
09.08 watering Jack Herer with 500ml - 500ml - 500ml of water because the Trichine are pretty milky and I expect them to get amber in around one week
Frosted guava got around the same amount of water but with 4ml/L of Biobizz Top-Max and Biobizz Bloom.
05.08 cut the top of the plant. The base is going to revive a few days of sun more since I’m not sure if I decided to harvest at the right time.
09.08 cut the rest of the plant.
12.08 made the dry trim and packed it in a jar with a humidity pack 62%.
Although the first smell was very harsh, it started to get smoother at 13.08. I like it. The first part is 5g of weight.
15.08 finished to rest today. Got 15g dry out of the whole plant.
Going to cure till end of the month. I’m curious about the smoke review!
06.08 cut the top of the Biscotti Automatic. I’ll cut the rest around 5 days later to get more trichoms amber.
09.08 cut the rest of Biscotti
13.08 took the first part from 06.08 and removed all the leaves in a dry cut. Packed it in a jar with a humidity pack with 62%. The smell gave me a slight dizziness and a strange feeling while I made the dry cut. It had a strong Diesel smell. Didn’t liked it. Very sticky. The weight is around 6g
This was the plant, why I started all this. First it smelled wired. Little bit of diesel and mostly of grass. My wife didn’t liked it first, because the smell were very dominant. But after 24 hours it start to get smoother and you can smell the „cream“ behind it.
13.08 harvesting Jack Herer.
Two buds were pretty contaminated with spider mites and their shit. I had to throw them away. Everything else looked perfekt. The smell was medium.
