~ Grown in a 15L Gronest fabric pot filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite amended with BioTabs Organic Amendments and 30% Worm Castings.
~ Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with Gaia Green slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings.
~ Straight well water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's.
~ Grown under HLG 650R's with a 19/5 light cycle with supplemental UVA added during the last weeks of flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation.
~ Supplemental co2 provided throughout vegetation and flower - monitored and controlled by an AutoPilot APC8200 co2 controller.

Weekly Updates:
6/3- Here we go with the Auto Melonade Runtz by Dutch Passion Seed Company! This is my first time growing this strain and I am excited to see what the results will turn out to be!
I pre-soaked the seed in a glass of lukewarm tap water that has a ph of 7.5 for 24hrs at which point I could see a root peeking out of the shell! I then placed the seed inside a paper towel that I had already moistened with tap water and folded in half, which I then placed in a plastic 'clam-shell' container and put it in my dresser drawer where it is dark and relatively warm. Within another 24hrs it had a root approximately 3/4" long at which point I decided to go ahead and plant it directly into a 15L Gronest fabric pot filled with pre-amended coco/perlite. After planting the seed, with just the seed exposed, I gently watered it in using a syringe filled with 6.5ph well water from the tap and placed a clear Solo cup over her to keep the humidity level high. I then placed her in the grow room under the HLG 650R which I set to 40% output on a 19/5 light schedule and have hung about 43" above the Auto Melonade Runtz.
6/5- The Auto Melonade Runtz continues to do well. I am concentrating on maintaining a perfect environment in the grow room for her by keeping the temperature and RH on point resulting in excellent VPD numbers!
I am watering her only about every two days right now as her root system is still developing, this will change soon!
6/7- I am continuing to just water her every second or third day depending on how moist the medium is, which I check with a moisture probe/meter. The Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz continues to do extremely well and has maintained great color and vigor!
6/9- Well there's the first week for this little girl and I have high hopes for her in the coming weeks... stay tuned in!

Weekly Updates:
6/11- Here we go into the second full week since the Auto Melonade Runtz by Dutch Passion broke ground and she is looking like a champ!
I am continuing to water her only when the medium is barely moist, which currently is every 2-3 days. I have the HLG 650R hung approx. 40" above the plant and it is set at 45% output which equates to roughly 450 PPFD at the plant. Temp's and RH have remained on point.
6/13- Yesterday I noticed that she had fell over, so I fashioned a little brace out of a paper clip and... voila, she stands again!
Today I watered the Auto Melonade Runtz with straight well water that has a ph of 6.6-7.0
6/15- The Auto Melonade Runtz continues to do extremely well and has great color as well as excellent vigor!
6/17- The Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz continues to do extremely well and now has her forth set of leaves emerging! There's a week on the books for this beauty and I can't wait to see what this girl will look like in another month. Stay Blessed!

6/27- The Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz has entered her fourth week since breaking ground and she has begun to show her first signs of flowering!
6/29- Yesterday the Auto Melonade Runtz was watered with her weekly Compost tea that was brewed for 48hrs.
Today I checked her medium and decided to skip watering today and instead performed a little canopy maintenance, tucking in a few shade leaves that were blocking bud sites.
7/1- I watered the Auto Melonade Runtz today with a full gallon of straight well water as she was light to lift and was just starting to show her thirst in a couple of leaves. So far, this strain has been SUPER EASY to grow and has not experienced any negitive issues at all.
7/3- Well here we go! the Auto Melonade Runtz is doing her thing flowering and the days will just keep getting more exciting as this lady struts her stuff... Stay tuned!

7/5- Five weeks since breaking ground and the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz is in flower and going strong!
Today I top dressed the Auto Melonade Runtz with Gaia Green 4-4-4 @ 1 tbsp/g, 2-8-4 @ 2 tbsp/g, Down To Earth Bio-Fish @ 1 tbsp/g and 2 cups of wiggle worm castings. After top dressing, I work the amendments into the medium by hand and then water them in. This time I'll be watering the amendments in with a fresh batch of Compost Tea which will really help to boost the microbes in the medium!
My Compost Tea recipe is as follows: In a doubled up mesh bag I put in 2 cups of wiggle worm castings, 1 cup of Alfalfa Meal, 1/2 cup of Dr. Earth 4-4-4 dry amendment w/beneficial mycorrhizae, 1 tbsp. Stash Blend, 1 tbsp. Plantonics Amino Bliss. Then in a 5g bucket filled with 68-74℉ non-chlorinated well water (which I do not adjust ph on, if it's good enough for me to drink... it's good enough for my plants) I add 4 tbsp. of unsulfured black strap molasses and 4 tbsp. of liquid Kelp Extract. I then aerate the water via a pump and large round air stone and hang the mesh bag so that it stays suspended above the bottom of the bucket and so the air bubbles can surround it. I then cover the bucket and leave it alone for 24-36 hrs after which there should be a generous layer of foam in the bucket which indicates that your tea is ready to serve!
7/7- Today, after checking her medium with a moisture meter, I watered the Auto Melonade Runtz with a full gallon of straight well water.
I also did some LST using horticulture wire to tie down some of her branches to allow more light exposure.
7/9- I skipped watering today as the Auto Melonade Runtz was still pretty moist according to my moisture meter, instead I just adjusted some of the LST wires and gave her pot a quarter turn under the light.
7/11- Just over two weeks in flower and the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz is shaping up to be an absolutely beautiful cultivar... I can't wait to see what the next week brings!

7/15- Today, after checking her medium with a moisture meter, I watered the Auto Melonade Runtz with a full gallon of well water that I added 1 tsp of 'The Stash Blend'.
7/17- I skipped watering yesterday as her pot was still heavy to lift. Today I gave the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz a good watering with straight well water from the faucet that I always check the temp and PH, adjusting each as necessary to be ideal.
7/19- Another week in the bag and the Auto Melonade Runtz from Dutch Passion is going crazy flowering and is really shaping up to be something special!

7/21- Whoop here it is... Week Seven and the fourth week of flowering for the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz!🤩
I started this week off by top dressing the Auto Melonade Runtz with 2 tbsp. per gallon of Gaia Greens 2-8-4 Power Bloom along with 2 cups of wiggle worm castings and 1/4 cup of Down To Earth Bio Fish 7-7-2. After working the amendments into the medium by hand, I watered them in with 3/4g of well water that was ph'd to 6.8 @ 68℉.
7/23- Yesterday, I checked the moisture level in her pot in three different spots, and it showed that she was still pretty moist so I did not water. Today her pot felt much lighter when I lifted it so I went ahead and gave the Auto Melonade Runtz .5g of well water that was ph'd to 6.8 @ 68℉.
7/25- Today, after checking her medium with a moisture meter, I watered the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz with 1/2g of well water that I added 2 tbsp. of Neptune's Harvest Liquid Kelp Extract 0-0-1 and then ph'd to 6.7 @ 68℉.
7/27- After four full weeks in flower mode, the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz is really coming on strong! She's stacking her flowers and has developed a pungent aroma of earth and fresh fruits!😍 This fine lady still has another few weeks to go and will undoubtedly develop into another epic cultivar courtesy of the excellent genetics from Dutch Passion! 💚

7/29- When I look at the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz I have growing the first word that comes to mind is... MAGNIFICENT! Week Eight from seed, and Week Five of flowering for the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz and she's just magnificent looking!😍
7/31- I'm watering every other day now as her water consumption has dropped a bit. I have also lowered the temp's in the grow room, as well as upping the ph to 6.8-7.0 in hopes of getting some dramatic colors from her as she progresses towards maturity.
8/2- I watered the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz today with 1g of straight well water. I also turned her pot 1/4 turn to give equal light exposure to all sides of the plant. She is starting to show some colors now in her shade leaves, with some purple and subdued reds making an appearance. If she continues to add colors like these, she'll end up being quite the beauty!🤩
8/4- Sixty days since she broke ground and the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz is happy, healthy and getting prettier by the day. This gorgeous cultivar only has a couple of weeks to go before it will be time to put this fine lady in the dark for 72hrs to put the final boost on her trichomes in preparation of harvest time!

8/6- Well here we go into the ninth week from seed, and sixth week of flowering for the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz which has transformed into an absolute stunner!🤩
Lowering the temp's in the grow room, and upping the ph to 6.8-7.0 had begun to succeed in getting some dramatic colors from the Auto Melonade Runtz as she's now expressing some gorgeous shades of pink and purple in her flowers!
8/8- I'm continuing to water every other day and also giving her pot a quarter turn daily to expose every inch of her to the light from the HLG 650R hung 32" above her.
8/10- The Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz is continuing to add color and trichomes resulting in a plant that just takes your breath away looking at her, and after taking a good whiff of her unique terpene profile... It's LOVE!💚
I am checking trichomes daily now in anticipation of seeing the ratio of milky to clear that I prefer, which generally is 85-90% milky and 5% or so of amber and clear trichomes.
8/12- Before watering the Auto Melonade Runtz today, I checked her trichomes and they are getting close. I anticipate that in the next couple of days I will be placing her in the dark for 72 hours before she is harvested and hung to begin the drying/curing process.

8/14- Ten weeks from seed now and seven weeks of flowering have brought the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz to an epic finish! Today I'll be placing the Auto Melonade Runtz in complete darkness for 72hrs during which time I will have the temp's in the mid 60's℉ and maintain a RH of 40-45%. I also watered her today so that she wouldn't dry out during her time in 'dark jail' with straight well water that was ph'd to 6.8 @ 68℉.
8/17- After three full days in total darkness, the Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz emerged today drenched in beautiful coloration and loaded with trichomes... another epic result from Dutch Passion genetics!🔥🔥🔥
Now that the first 1/3 of the process is complete, it's time to get this girl chopped and hung to begin the drying/curing process so that we can get to the Smoke Report and see if the Auto Melonade Runtz smokes as good as she looks! Stay tuned for the Harvest Report coming soon!😎

Auto Melonade Runtz has been received with great praise within the Dutch Passion test team. The buds of this strain really have a unique terpene profile combined with a very high potency. During the vegetative phase, every cannabis grower will note that this is an enjoyable strain to grow. She grows easily and has many side branches that gradually grow longer. Most plants exhibit the classic Dutch Passion auto structure. A beautiful thick main bloom surrounded by many well-developed side blooms.
A true growth explosion takes place during weeks 4 and 5. The branches start their stretching period. This ensures that the plant will increase considerably in size during the next 3 weeks. The internodes are fairly close together and this ensures relatively well-connected buds. From week 7 onward, trichome production really starts and the buds start to look whiter.
By week 9 everything is packed with crystals and you see the true nature of this beautiful autoflower strain. The buds are compact and glisten beautifully with THC-rich trichomes. In general, this strain has a seed to harvest time of around 11 weeks. In exceptional cases they bloom 1-2 weeks longer, especially when they are not grown in optimal conditions.
Outdoors, the flowering time can also take a little longer and she needs an average of around 13 (to a maximum of 15) weeks to fully ripen. Her rounded and compact buds make her easy to cut and manicure. The buds are very sticky, so the use of gloves is recommended. However, while cutting you can use the sticky resin on your scissors to make delicious finger hash.

This autoflower is also best grown on a 20/4 schedule. This gives the plants a short rest period so that they can recover and prepare for the next day.
In an unstable indoor climate it can sometimes take 1 to 2 weeks longer to fully ripen. This also applies to outdoor cultivation. Usually the greatest day/night temperature differences are outdoors and this can slightly delay the total autoflower seed to harvest time.
In a temperate outdoor climate it is best to plan for 12 to a maximum of 15 weeks. In a dry and sunny (e.g. Mediterranean) climate, most plants will be ready for harvest within 11-12 weeks.This gives the very white buds an even more beautiful and unique appearance!
Auto Melonade Runtz is a powerful autoflower with strong genes from several award-winning USA genetic lines. Crossing these hybrid cannabis genetics has created a stable and robust autoflower that can take a beating and still deliver. If you like to grow in soil/coco, preferably give her a pot of at least 15-20L for a stress-free experience. If you want to use a slightly larger container, we recommend a pot of around 30-35L. This ultimately ensures that she can grow larger and has a better buffer against dehydration and possible nutritional deficiencies.
The same applies to outdoor cultivation. Choose a larger pot for a better buffer zone, making it easier for her to thrive in a variety of conditions. It is best to give black pots a white cover on the outside, so that the light of the sun is reflected and the root temperature of the plants does not rise further and cause damage (black containers absorb a lot of heat in direct sunlight).
She can also be grown in the open ground in more sunny and dry areas, but for the highest yield we recommend growing her in containers, preferably smart pots or root pouches for outdoors and airpots for indoor cultivation.

~THE SETUP~
~ This will be a 100% Organic grow
~ Initially seed was germinated in a moist paper towel, then planted directly into the medium.
~ Grown in a 15L Gronest fabric pot filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite amended with BioTabs Organic Amendments and 30% Worm Castings.
~ Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with Gaia Green slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings.
~ Straight well water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's.
~ Grown under HLG 650R's with a 19/5 light cycle with supplemental UVA added during the last weeks of flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation.
~ Supplemental co2 provided throughout vegetation and flower - monitored and controlled by an AutoPilot APC8200 co2 controller.

The plan was simple... germinate using the 'Paper Towel' method. Once germinated, I transferred the sprouted seedling directly to her 15L fabric pot that was filled with a 70/30 blend of Coco/Perlite and was 'pre-amended' with the Bio Tab product line, and inoculated with beneficial microbes. It was then placed under a 19/5 light schedule using a HLG 650R LED. Throughout the grow I followed up with top dressings of Gaia Green slow release dry amendments and worm castings every 3-4 weeks. She was a thirsty and hungry girl that always had great vigor! I chose to not 'top' her so that I could see the shape that she naturally was. The Auto Melonade Runtz grew into a beautiful specimen and had fairly wide node spacing which allowed for some beautiful looking flowers!
The Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz grew for a total of 75 days from breaking ground to harvest, with 53 days of it in flower and was an absolute joy to cultivate... Another standout strain from Dutch Passion Genetics!🏆
