Into week three of flowering: - Need to up CalMg this week cause all my last grows with this strain the plants were stressing and showing signs of Mg deficiency I think. - The buds are stacking up pretty tight. - The top of the plant is showing some red veins AGAIN, don't know if it is genetics? Or is it too much light? ANY SUGGESTIONS? - Usually what happens is that after week three top of plant will show red veins and some leaves will turn light green yellow. What type of deficiency is this? Thanks in advance for the help. Happy growing, BM 4TwenTee *****Update on LIGHT STRESS:***** Okay I think I got this figured out. Since my plant is showing the following symptoms: - Slow yellowing of top of cannopy - Fan leaves pointing up in a steep angle - Leaves are tacoing up a bit with sharp pointy serrated leaves pointing up - Veins are turning purple and some leaves are showing green veins and yellowing of outer part of the leaf REASONS FOR THE SYMPTOMS: - Since the light is too close to the top of the canopy, although my light is running at around 60% and it is at least a meter away from the light. I think because this was a mother and basically she is accustomed to top canopy PAR of around 180-220 and she was measuring around 600PAR so that is just too much for the plant to handle. So I've lowered the light output so the top canopy is around 420 PAR. - Also my humidity is pretty high at around 72% so I lowered it to around 65% - The reason why the leaves are tacoing up to the light is because the canopy cannot take the high PAR, the temp at the top of the canopy is only 76F so that is acceptable, but the plant is trying the sweat due to the high PAR, but because the humidity was also too high it was not sweating as much as it should. - The reason why a light stressed plant shows different deficiencies eg. magnesium and phosphate is due to the "extra sweating" that takes place, cannabis plants don't choose what they intake, if they need more water to sweat, extra nutrients will be absorbed and this will lockout some of the other nutrients in the solution. **End of week update: Tried multiple changes but still no luck on getting rid of red leaf stem. - Added a 1 hour sunrise and sundown light regiment - Decreased Humidity to 65% from low 70's - Top of canopy PAR decreased from 600 to 350. Leaves red stems still not going away and top of canopy still trying to get rid of moisture with fan leaves pointing up. If anyone can chime in that would be great thanks.

@Bongman, what are your temps like? High temperatures will limit the amount of oxygen the roots can absorb, so if you temperatures are about 20c, you'll need to supply more oxygen to the res. Looks like you're around 22-23c ait temperature, so that might not be the issue, but it's worth looking into. Any issues I've had with roots so far have been fixed using either more oxygen (better pump, more airstones), and using hydroguard.

@thephalanx420, I think I've corrected the problem by lowering PH to 5.5, using hydro guard (Although I've been using that since the beginning, and also add some cannazym . I think the PH and Cannazym did the trick. Thanks a lot for the advice guys!!!!

@Tonino, Yes this grow is finishing a lot better than expected. What I am struggling with is whether or not I should flush with Molasses cause I am scared of the brown gew outbreak. But I guess if I do it the last few days maybe I can pull it off.... Any thoughts anyone?

@BigDaddyK, @ThePhalanx420, guys what do you use for rotted slimy roots ?
BigDaddyK
BigDaddyK
@Bongman, might do, lol, as it an issue the slime? i have added some ooze into one of mine and OMG its frothing , sliming , god know s what, i think the plant likes the froth..... but if you are worried thats what i would do.

@BigDaddyK, Since I am running synthetics will cannazym work? Also should I add microbes to a dwc synthetic grow? I think my situation might be a bit different because I have air stone in res and it was on non stop for two days. So don’t know if oxygen is the issue for me. Again I used the ph and ppm meter to measure my really ripe compost tea. Could that be the source of my slime? Thanks for the comments. Happy growing BM 4TwenTee

@JUNGLE_B4RNS,liquid oxygen , cannazym to clear it 👍 Normally means there isn't enough oxygen , check bubbler, Dwc air pump needs to be on continuously, ph doesn't want to go past 5.8

Whatever you do it with stand the plant But if you want to cut anything don’t catch a star cut some auxiliary branches the ones that look very skinny this is the only way to maximize time on your main branches

@Tonino, Thank you for the comment. I think you are referring to some sort of "lolli popping" right? I;ve cleaned out all skinny branches under the canopy. I am wondering if I should cut the tops with thick branches. Reason is I thought we were suppose to have one maybe two tops per trellis square and in some case I am jamming 3-4 tops in each square. I know this is will still be an okay grow because the canopy is filled, but when I did this last time (the mother of this plant from seed) I did have 2-4 tops in each square, but the bud sites are small and that is a lot of work in harvest. I guess there is only one way to find out for sure and that is to test it out on this plant. I might thin out the number of tops on one side and see if bigger tops will form due to that. I will divide the canopy by the 10+ main trunks of the plant and do the test like this. Unless people can tell me for sure, I will try to experiment this myself Thanks for the comments: Happy Growing BM 4TweenTee

@Bongman,lol slime heaven. Reminds me of Nickelodeon’s slime. Just meant that they are about to swell up (aka boost mode) as I like to refer to it
Bongman
Bongman
@CaliGrown, What do u mean by ready to boost? Also is adding sweets to sythetics at the end an invitation to slime heaven? I said that because this whole slime thing started when I accidentally added some mollesse to the nuets... I guess my question is more like is it worth the risk.

Hi mate. Your plants are looking so great, well done. I want to ask you something, believibg on your experiences. I'm growing plants for the first time. My plants are at 4th week of flowering. But I'm feeling that the buds are so small. Is that normal or do they have to grow up more. I will be so thankfull if you look at my diary and leave me a coment. Have a good harvest.

That's quite a beautiful canopy you have trained here buddy! These girls look like they'll be finishing up very nicely in a couple of weeks. I wish you the best of luck finishing these girls up as well as reaping a fat harvest. Cheers buddy!
