First week - Germination.
All seeds soaked in a small plastic cup (pictured) for around 15 - 20 hours - cups stored in darkness in wardrobe. Seeds then placed directly in final 10 litre pot filled with Bio Bizz "Light Mix" soil.
Two successfully germinated (third one didn't)
I didn't take any photos for the first 4 weeks of the grows this year, so the images start from week 4 onwards.
No official entry for Kmintz Auto on GrowDiaries - just the regular photoperiod seeds.
Week 3 (or week 2 of vegetation)
The first three weeks all went very smoothly, lots of cloud cover, nice breeze, good temps - and the plants nursery shielded the worst of the direct sunlight.
This is when I started introducing the varied feed schedule.
No photos - they start on week 4
2nd Ripper Seeds grow - last year it was Zombie Kush, which turned out very, very, well :)
Trying a new strain, but it's been around for a while, I remember seeing them for sale last spring/2023
No official listing here on GrowDiaries?
Had a lovely run of weather this week - but now the crazy temps look like they're here to stay. Need to focus on keeping them in the shade where possible.
Flowering has started and the plants are both looking healthy and sturdy - seem to have really expanded this week :) Plant 1 is the fattest of the lot so far this year... real wide spread.
Added a couple more nutrients: Bud Candy and Alg-a-Mic (I had them lying around from last year)
This was probably the last 'normal' week with ideal conditions.
Really, really, happy with the Kmintz grow - these are another two that are massive, robust and just looking super-healthy. Can't say a bad word against Ripper Seeds - had great results with their Zombie Kush last year :) This is looking like another winner.
Now it's soaring up to 38C and roasting hot.
Going to try and invest in a shade cloth for the first time.
On reflection, this is still better than previous grows. If I had started earlier (I usually start late April outdoors - this year was late May start) then I would have caught a LOT of bad weather - lots of cold and lots of rainfall.
Just need to keep them cooler somehow.
Added two new nutrients to the kitchen sink - Jungle Juice Bloom and Bio Bizz' Top Max - just stuff lying around from last year. Given that I have bombarded them daily with all sorts of nutrients, I am not seeing anything remotely like nutrient burn, etc. They all look great. Removed Bud Candy (it's finished) and no more Root Juice.
Looking absolutely stunning - so impressed with Ripper Seeds. These are looking very similar (but better) to the Zombie Kush from last year.
Strong, sturdy, fat nugs, what more do we need? Just need to be patient not chop them too early.
Added Rhino Skin to the mix - supposed to help with heat stress.
Very impressed with Bio Bizz' Fish Mix. It's definitely one for outdoors, it does stink a bit, but the plants seem to really like it. Just something about it.
And coming a close second or maybe even first, we have KMintz - another quality set of seeds from Ripper Seeds. They're just huge! :)
Really looking forward to harvesting these two.

Week 9. Harvest
Happy Harvest Day!
Kmintz Auto - Ripper Seeds - Custom Breeder & Strain
Plant 2 harvested 8.5 weeks from seed to harvest
Plant 1 harvested 9 weeks from seed to harvest
These ones swelled up and grew at lightning speed compared to the rest... wish that third seed had germinated now ;)
I'm putting Ripper Seeds autos up in the top spot for now, 100% - this and Zombie Kush auto grow last year have been huge yields and really fast to grow. They just have these immense top colas (for those who prefer to leave the plant untouched - I don't do anything to my plants, no defoliation, LST, etc. Mostly because I'm really lazy when it comes to these things.
