First week - Germination. All seeds soaked in a small plastic cup (pictured) for around 15 - 20 hours - cups stored in darkness in wardrobe. Seeds then placed directly in final 10 litre pot filled with Bio Bizz "Light Mix" soil. All 4 seeds successfully germinated - but one was lost when the stem snapped around week 2.

I didn't take any photos for the first 4 weeks of the grows this year, so the images start from week 4 onwards. All plain sailing so far - used the plant nursery to protect them from birds and too much sunlight... lizards still around, but not causing any grief (so far)

Week 3/Week 2 of vegetation The first three weeks all went very smoothly, lots of cloud cover, nice breeze, good temps - and the plants nursery shielded the worst of the direct sunlight. This is when I started introducing the varied feed schedule. No photos - they start on week 4

The first new Sweet Seeds of the year :) They're already looking like beasts at 4 weeks - strong sturdy plants. It was a shame to lose one around week 2 - the stem just caved in. I thought it would sort itself out, but it just dried up and died. Feed schedule is alternating: Day 1: PH Perfect (all in one watering can) Day 2: Fish Mix Day 3: Root Juice (mostly in first 2 weeks, then ease off) Day 4: Just water

Miscounted the weeks - fixing this now - this is the correct start of the diaries, in the right week order.

Had a lovely run of weather this week - but now the crazy temps look like they're here to stay. Need to focus on keeping them in the shade where possible. Plant are all flowering and looking very healthy - a nice Sweet Seeds run so far :) Added a couple more nutrients: Bud Candy and Alg-a-Mic (I had them lying around from last year)

This was probably the last 'normal' week with ideal conditions. These are looking solid - but def a week behind the Super Lemon Haze and the Kmints - planted exactly the same time. Sweet Seeds are usually the faster ones which makes a change. Plants look great - nice healthy leaf structure, nice bud formation, all good :) Now it's soaring up to 38C and roasting hot. Going to try and invest in a shade cloth for the first time. On reflection, this is still better than previous grows. If I had started earlier (I usually start late April outdoors - this year was late May start) then I would have caught a LOT of bad weather - lots of cold and lots of rainfall. Just need to keep them cooler somehow. Added two new nutrients to the kitchen sink - Jungle Juice Bloom and Bio Bizz' Top Max - just stuff lying around from last year. Given that I have bombarded them daily with all sorts of nutrients, I am not seeing anything remotely like nutrient burn, etc. They all look great. Removed Bud Candy (it's finished) and no more Root Juice.

Looking like classic Sweet Seeds, super strong branches, fat buds, lush vibrant green leaves and very sturdy. I have high hopes for these :) Temperatures are through the roof at the moment - the heatwave has officially kicked in so we're dancing between 33 - 38 degrees. Added Rhino Skin to (supposedly) help with heat stress - we shall see.

The first sign of pests this year - and I can't grumble because the plant can still be (mostly saved) Plant 2 is infested with some sort of eggs of god knows what insects. Luckily the branch structure was so restricted and upward that it hasn't spread them to the other plants. I did a thorough check and it's just this one - but it has been hit hard in places (see photo) The other two look fine. I knew I should have sprayed them with neem oil - I just never got around to it.

Week 9. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

This didn't go according to plan: Lost one plant because the stem broke during watering very early on. Had to harvest another one a good week early because of insect infestation - managed to save most of the plant, but not ideal. (this is not included in the final weight) So I've ended up with two uninterrupted grows. Yields not spectacular but the bud does look very, very nice. Happy with the 182g (wet) plant, but I had hoped the other three would yield about the same.

Harvested the Papayas - Smooth harvest, very sticky bud. Really happy with plant 1 :) Long trim sessions this week - hoping for some better yields from the Sweet Seeds F1 strains.
