First week - Germination.
All seeds soaked in a small plastic cup (pictured) for around 15 - 20 hours - cups stored in darkness in wardrobe. Seeds then placed directly in final 10 litre pot filled with Bio Bizz "Light Mix" soil.
Second Fast Buds this year - again, it will be interesting to compare the two diff. strains.
Two out of three germinated successfully.
I didn't take any photos for the first 3 weeks of this grow this year - so the images/proper diary start from next week (3)
Plants are all doing well - strong and healthy.
A healthy start for week 3 - they're being shielded in the nursery and will probably stay there for another week or two.
Air flow is good, a nice constant breeze for the last two weeks.
Definitely getting a lot hotter with the temps - hitting 40C for a couple of days this week.
Had a lovely run of weather this week - but now the crazy temps look like they're here to stay.
Plants are both looking healthy and sturdy - similar to the Lemon Pie.
Added a couple more nutrients: Bud Candy and Alg-a-Mic (I had them lying around from last year)
This was probably the last 'normal' week with ideal conditions.
Now it's heating up to 38C and roasting hot.
Going to try and invest in a shade cloth for the first time - not sure how I'll actually drape them with it?
On reflection, this is still better than previous grows. If I had started earlier (I usually start late April outdoors - this year was late May start) then I would have caught a LOT of bad weather - lots of cold and lots of rainfall.
Just need to keep them cooler somehow.
Added two new nutrients to the kitchen sink - Jungle Juice and Top Max - just stuff lying around from last year. Given that I have bombarded them daily with all sorts of nutrients, I am not seeing anything remotely like nutrient burn, etc. They all look great.
And over to the Strawberry Pie - again, all good so far, despite the blistering heat. Keeping them well watered - and like the other FastBuds Pie, I expect these to fatten up a lot this week.
Added Rhino Skin to the mix (like I need more....) They say it helps with heat stress.
Plants flushed this week - all autos ready for harvest.
Plant 1 was harvested shortly after these photos were taken of plant 2
Smooth week, but temps are way too hot.
