First week - Germination.
All seeds soaked in a small plastic cup (pictured) for around 15 - 20 hours - cups stored in darkness in wardrobe. Seeds then placed directly in final 10 litre pot filled with Bio Bizz "Light Mix" soil.
Second Sweet Seeds this year - a free sample :)
Nothing too much to report. the grow is all going smoothly.
Temperatures are getting hot (around 40C for a couple of day) but will drop this week (25 - 30C)
Plant still protected in nursery - nice airflow, mild breeze for the last two weeks to aid stretching.
Always looking forward to Sweet Seeds :)
Had a lovely run of weather this week - but now the crazy temps look like they're here to stay.
Plant is looking healthy and sturdy
Next week she should start flowering :)
Added a couple more nutrients: Bud Candy and Alg-a-Mic (I had them lying around from last year)
This was probably the last 'normal' week with ideal conditions.
Now it's soaring up to 38C and roasting hot - this is where it gets tough.
On reflection, this is still better than previous grows. If I had started earlier (I usually start late April outdoors - this year was late May start) then I would have caught a LOT of bad weather - lots of cold and lots of rainfall.
Just need to keep them cooler somehow.
Added two new nutrients to the kitchen sink - Jungle Juice and Top Max - just stuff lying around from last year. Given that I have bombarded them daily with all sorts of nutrients, I am not seeing anything remotely like nutrient burn, etc. They all look great.
Looking good, got two FastBuds Gelatos on the go as well - might be interesting to compare how they do.
Still blazing hot - relentless heat, hitting 37 degrees during the day. Plants do get shade early evening based on their position to the sun - but they still get that heat...
Added Rhino Skin to the mix - supposed to help with heat stress - hope it actually works :)
This Sweet Gelato certainly has the big XL structure I'd expect from Sweet Seeds - but the bud sites still need to fill up, and I'm not sure how much more they will gain?
Need to be optimistic :) It is only week 7 so there's a bit to go yet.
Fingers crossed.
Very happy with this one - excellent yield and some seriously dense buds.
This is the best of the bunch for Sweet Seeds this year. Seems to handle the heat okay.
Dried out to 47g - a decent weight considering the effort poured into it. Handled the nutrients perfectly fine.
Diary lost a week because of the harvest - this was harvested after 9 weeks from seed to harvest.
Damned fast strain :)
