Oyziphar After a few months of absence, I am happy to see you all again and to be able to practice and share my favorite hobby with you.
I made a choice of 6 beautiful varieties from the magnificent catalog of Royal Queen Seeds.
My selection is based on species that are about the same in size and flowering time.
I make a separate diary for each variety.
1. Royal Cookies: I had already bred twice before. It remains one of my top favorites.
2. Royal Gorilla: I have bred last time, and is also recommended.
3. Special Queen: once bred with fantastic results. Moreover, I have also seen this species in two other growers, both indoor and outdoor. An immense plant. Respect!
Since my last grow, RQS has added a lot of new varieties, which is why these news:
4. Purple Queen: Purples used to be not so good. But the new generation of purples is fantastic. It is now winter where I live, so during the last 1-2 weeks of cold nights the beautiful purple hues will be able to fully develop again.
5. Green Gelato: Have heard a lot about Gelato, but have never been able to enjoy it. I'm going to change that!
6. Fat Banana: I can not imagine anything, but the name sounds wise. The expectations are therefore high.
Oyziphar DAY 16 First time Topping
DAY 17 Repotting from 0.5 l. (BioBizz light-mix) to 3.5 l (Canna Terra grow +)
The plants show a slight shortage of nutrients 😏, but by potting them to the new nutrient-rich cultivation soil, the shortage will soon be solved 👍
The slightly burnt leaves of plant nr.1 are most likely the result of the first - probably too rich 💪 - nutritional gift

Oyziphar DAY 44 All plants are in excellent health
The Fat Bananas took a quick start in the first weeks, but their growth pace has been greatly reduced in the past week
I have manually bent them every night to obtain a reasonably flat canopy
Plant nr. 1 : 36 cm
Plant nr. 2 : 32 cm
DAY 46 The plants were visited by Oyzi Scissorhand. Neatly cut and now ready to be put in bloom.

Oyziphar A week of hard work with defoliating, debranching and manual bending in order to obtain a nice flat canopy, from 5 to 6 main branches per plant.
Ready to start flowering 😜
The first weeks these plants grew very fast, but that is now somewhat reduced, compared to the other varieties that I am growing at the same time.

Oyziphar DAY 12 ; Defoliation for the last time four days ago and I stretched a net to support the colas.
DAY 16 : Because of the net, I can no longer photograph the plants in front profile, and that is why I now take photos from the top.
I had to remove some main branches because they were already too far behind in comparison with the other branches. Otherwise these branches would receive too little light.
I started fertilizing with liquid food because the leaves started to turn yellow. Especially plant # 1 is extremely hungry and also thirsty.
Fat Banana #1 = 68 cm ; 5 colas
Fat Banana #2 = 68 cm ; 4 colas

Oyziphar Fat Banana has an unstoppable hunger and thirst. Despite the well-fertilized soil she is in, her leaves have already turned yellowish. Especially plant n ° 1 is a real 'Bessie Turf': she gets the maximum dose of Alga Bloom and she needs a liter of water every day!
Because of her Indica genes, she grew less fast during flowering than her sisters with more Sativa genes (like Special Queen # 1).
Her scent is still subtle for the time being.

Oyziphar Nice sturdy plants. Despite the considerable fertilization with liquid manure, they continue to show yellow leaves.😥
They get enough light, plenty of water and the most nutrition of all varieties in this growcyclus.👍
Next to the Plagron nutrition, I also added BioFinale PK from Bioquant (with Calcium/Magnesium) 👌
Growth has now stopped completely.

Oyziphar The differences between plant 1 and plant 2 become
increasingly clear. Plant 1 has a nice round top. Plant 2 has a pointed tapered top. They are both equal in height.
The fanl eaves have become more yellow. Gradually I remove these leaves.
The plants are currently receiving the maximum dose of liquid food.

Oyziphar The fat bananas honor their name 😍.
Especially plant number 1 is really getting fat. 😁
I have her nice short cut, and all 5 colla's now seem to have one thick rounded top as if it were baseball bats.👋😎💪
She has a sweet subtle smell, reminds me of old school kush..
Plant number 2 reminds me of the hat of Merlin the Magician. 👻Her collas are wide at the bottom of the base and head upwards. Would she, like Merlin, have special magical powers?👽
Her smell is very strong, a bit lemon, fruity and sticky.
Leaf drop and yelowing makes water consumption goes back. 😏
2 more weeks to get them all solid as a rock. To provide the lower buds with light, I gradually started to remove the (yellow) fan leaves.😵👇😩
Because I also have some purple varieties, I now switch to a system with cold nights of 10 ° C.😖💤😱
DAY 44 : pictures 😎
DAY 39 & 43 & 47 : Defoliation yellow fan leaves
DAY 47 : start flushing , no liquid nuts anymore

Oyziphar DAY 52: The bananas enter their last week. The difference between the two plants is clearly visible on the photos. 😲👌
The plants have already lost a lot of their big fan leaves, so their need for water has been considerably reduced.😨😱😭
No fertilization, so that there will also be no unpleasant smell or taste in the end product. Only pure water to rinse out all the remains as much as possible. 🙏👍
The plants make almost no new flowers, but the buds are becoming increasingly massive. 😛😍😄
At night they get cold nights (10 ° C) so they can develop their beautiful colors.👌👌👌
The height of the plants can be found in the diary of 👉 WEEK 12. 👈

DAY 60: Harvest time 🙏
According to the RQS, the flowering time of the Fat Bananas is 7 to 8 weeks. But you can easily go for a flowering period of 9 weeks.🙀
The height of the plants can be found in the diary of 👉 WEEK 12. 👈
Beautiful plant. Easy to grow. Fast grower. Fat buds. Great yielder.
Smell of overripe sweet tropical fruit, in caso banana.
Mild effect. Body relaxing. Soft high with creative, introspective effect. Good for meditation or enjoying music.
