Hi all
At this diary Ill grow 8 amnesia lemon from the Barneys farm.I´Il use topping technique and scrog in orther to draw maximum efficiency from the sativa genes,also I want to try this technique with a medium number of plants avoiding the extra long veg,needed when you grow only 1 or 2 plants per sq metter.Also the grow media on the pre flowering transplnt will be a 30%coco and 70%light mix,I want to see if theres a better root developement with this soil.
-I will also test the Royal Jelly nutrienst brand,who gave me some troubles with autos on light-dependent strains,I think that the guys deserve another chance because they wanted to do a full organic line and thats always admirable.
-The first weeks will be under 100 w Led (white spectrum cobs) and the consecutive ones with the 630w 4200k Lec.
-For the germination I used ro water addin some calk and rootk in order to gave them an initial push .
-Any advice or commentary will be highly appreciated.Happy grow to everyone !!
All right,by the moment some of the leaves seems to be weaker, maybe some sort f defficiency or just overwatering.
-I transplanted them to their growing pots (2,25 l).,only one of them is has a lighter green on the leaves,nothing to worry I think.
-The ec on the flush was 0,4 and the ph 6.5
We enter the thrird week with rampant growth,I topped six of them on day 21the two rmaining will wait untill new moon , I want to see if it really causes any effect on the plants growing.
Ec output was 0,6 Ph was 6.5
This can be defined as week zero,the plants finally recovered from their nutrient block,I transplanted them into 3 gallons smart pots,and 2 gallons smart pot and air max pot to see if theres any real difference between themthe soil is a 30% coco and 70 % light mix , I also added some clay pebbles into the bottom.I want her media to be airy as possible.I lowered the ec because the coco has a higher NPK ratio.The scrog web was installed but I havent tied the plants yet because I want them to be fully recovered.
Ec output was 0.3 ms over the input Ph was 6.3
This week was decisive, the plants are healthy,growing as they are supposed to grow.I started to spry 0.25 ml /l of Royal silk along with some propoleum,I want them to be resilient due to the enlonged blooming phase from sativas.I also begun tiding the branches to the web.
Ec output was 1.35 and Ph output 6.3
This week the first symptoms of blooming appeared,the branches begin to show pistil,and the space between nodes is increasing (I hope they are doing that because they will grow huuuuuge buds),some of the older leaves began to yellow,but I think this is normal at the early blooming phase.I have many hopes on this grow!!! any comments about the health of the plantss or tips for this concrete strain will be higly appreciated.

This week all the plants began to create pistils,develovin themselves correctly.Only some of the older leaves are yellowing,maybe beause the temperature dropped two day under 15cº and this caused a lack of magnesium,I sprayed the leaves on hte 14th day with 1ml/L of Royal sens (2,5 litters of water at 21 cº 6.5 ph) In order to stimulate the blooming.
-The Ec output on the two weekly irrigations was 0.5 over the input and the ph was 6.4 on both of them.
All the plants are developing well her flowers,but many of them have burnt the fan flowers edge .I think the cause can be caused by following the schedule provided by the manufacturer,the final ec from the nutrient solution is sometimes a little bit higher (0,1-0,3).The lemon scent has invaded the grow tent,even when the rvk is working at full power.
From what you are describing : yes it is the right time. But from what I can see on the pictures I would wait one more week , and why not cut this one at the same time as the others ? You will have a different kind of effect and she will get even bigger 😊
This week was double edged on one side the buds are developing well,they smell nice and theyre are frosty but on the other side the leaves are obviously burnt in most cases.I dont know how it will affect to the final result. Ph runoff was 6.5 and Ec 1.2
Which volume of soil/Sq metter do you recommend for the best production ratio? I mean number of pots and his volume. I am using 4 led tubes of 20 watts and 6500k is it the best way to germinate and grow the plants for 15 days?
hey MadameMary, it's all about the genetics that you're using. The basic theory is that you want to maximise the space that your roots use. So for example if you use a 10 gallon pot but your roots dont use all the space then you're wasting space in the end. Same if you use a too small pot and the plant needs more space then you're missing the chance to get more yield. the second point is you want to reduce the amount of transplant stress your plants will feel : so if you transplant 5 times before the final pot then you waste time maybe and it makes the grow cost more because you need to use the lights, electricity etc. So finally to answer your question, probably it's possible to germinate like 45 seeds in 500ml pots with like 8 LED strips for 20W 6500K in a 1 sq m. The plants suffered some stress and sdefficiencies through the process, taking that as a decisive fact I can say that they gave to me more than me to them so Im very pleased with the result,speacially with one of the plant who smealls like pinneaple mixed with lemon candys,I definetely recommend this strain,but also recommend taking care at the first weeks,and feeding she carefully but generously.
