Just got a Purple Punch clone and set up a no till organic grow. I will veg it inside under 4 100 watt equivalent CFL's (23 true watt), then move it outside to flower in a greenhouse with roughly 2 months until days become longer than nights. My soil is made up of black gold soil for base medium, then I added homemade compost and down to earth vegan mix dry amendments. I probably put in a gallon of compost and a cup of DTE mix. For cover crop all I have is clovers. I have no real mulch layer yet but I will soon add in dead leaves and maybe tree bark or hay.

Off to a slow start. It's showing signs of stress with the stream being purple, probably just because of transplant. The light was also accidentally left off for a while, I'm not sure how long, could have been over a day so that is definitely adding to the stress. I also think I may have been running the fan too strong. Thinking about it now it could also be the light is too low although from what I've heard its pretty hard to have too much light with CFLs. Hopefully this next week the roots will have established and it can begin to grow at a faster rate. I'm thinking about getting some kind of micorrhizal inoculant to help the spread of roots. Other than slow growth, it is looking healthy, I'm just really hoping it doesn't continue to grow this slow.

One of the leaves is dying off and other leaves look a little yellow. I'm not sure what the cause of this is but I don't think I am going to do anything about it unless I can identify the issue. It might have to do with nutrient lockout due to improper pH levels or maybe I didn't let the soil sit and mix long enough before planting. On the good side, growth seems to have finally kicked in the past 3 or so days, is grew as much then as is had in the 2 and a half weeks prior so hopefully the issue is being dealt with eternally and will go away on its own and the plant can finally kick off on it's growth.

Any ideas to what might be causing these leaves to yellow/die? Only reasons I can think of are nutrient lockout, having the lights too close (although I've heard with CFLs theres pretty much no such thing as too close) or possible having the heater running, or constant fan air

hey there @420pete , what's going on is that the plant did her first vegetation stretch and canabalised itself looking for nutrients, specifically it's looking for N and Mg , that's Nitrogen and magnesium, you can tell from the yellowing in the bottom leaves (N deficiency) and the yellowing between the veins of the leaves (Magnesium deficiency), this happens all the time basically because the cannabis plant eats more magnesium than your average flower. The best thing you can do is pick up a cal-mag supplement they usually have nitrogen in them anyway. Use it as a feed and use it as a foliar spray aswell (6ml / L on the spray) if you spray it on once a day the plant should recover in 5 or 6 days no problem. Hope this helps brother ! 🚀

This week things finally started taking off. All the side branches started growing out and the new growth is looking very healthy. It looks like the plant corrected whatever nutrient issues it had on its own after I watered and sprayed with an epsom salt mix. I tried super cropping to level out the canopy however it had very little results. Still, it looks like the top is kind off splitting apart and will naturally not have a central cola. I will put the plant outdoors to flower in 2-3 weeks. I'm thinking about getting molasses and some kind of compost tea to feed the microbes.

This week was good. It’s growing pretty well now. I’ll put it outside in a couple weeks to flower. I just ordered some compost tea and mixed cover crop. I also just added a mulch layer of straw.

Not much to say about this week. Went well overall. Did some training to level out the canopy and the lower branches are catching up. I got some compost tea and a bag of mixed cover crop which I both used. I will begin hardening off this week and should hopefully have the plant outside in a greenhouse full time to flower by next week although it depends on the rain.

Just put the plant outdoors today, so it will be its first day in 12/12, or actually 10/14 because there is only 10 hours of daylight at the moment. I'm not sure how well this will work because of the cold we will see. I am going to put a compost bin in the greenhouse to add some heat and also order a no electric dehumidifier to use in the second half of flower. Hopefully it is able to tolerate the cold and is able to finish flowering by the end of march, as by that time the days will become longer than nights.

Starting to stretch and grow about half an inch per day. So far no real signs of flowering but within the next week it should get some pistils. Overall it looks pretty good. It is not getting too many hours of direct sunlight as daylight hours are short and the sun is at a low angle, but hopefully it will still turn out alright. A couple leaves look like the plant may be overfed. Is this even possible with organics because don't they control how much nutrients to let in? Update: after doing a little research it seems more likely it is light burn from the plant not being fully adjusted to the sun yet.

This week went smooth. I still haven't watered since the start of flower. Its hard to have stable temp control because on cold rainy days its around 60 degrees in the tent during the day but today when I went to check on it it was 90, even though it was only 60 degrees outside. I was staring to get worried because I could see no pistils or real signs of flower but now it is starting to show pistils.

Not much growth this week, the flowers are developing pretty slowly although I kind of assumed this would be the case because it has been cold and rainy/foggy most of the week. Last night there was a little frost so the temperature is probably slowing down growth pretty dramatically. The plant is still looks healthy though! I might see if I can find a place in my backyard with a little more sunshine because it is only getting direct sunshine on sunny days for around 4 or 5 hours. I think this next week is supposed to be rainy and cold too :(

It was super cold and rainy this week so agin, very little growth. Next week is supposed to be sunny so hopefully we she can catch up a little then. I hope flower is still able to finish by the end of march. I guess it probably will be able to finish within the next 6 weeks. March is supposed to be warmer and much more sunny too so that should all help.

Early in the week I moved the plant outside the greenhouse to get a couple extra hours of sunlight but then the wind knocked the stock out of its place. I was super worried at first but nothing ended up happening from it, it didn't even seem to slow the growth. Otherwise it was a good week, everything went smooth.

This week was okay. It keeps saying the next week will be sunny but then it rains a shit ton so there isn't a whole lot of growth going on. It's starting to purple out. Should be finished within the next month.

Things are going alright, buds aren't filling out as much as I had hoped but I still have a few more weeks to go. It's really starting to purple out. I'm surprised it doesn't have more smell. It doesn't smell like weed in the slightest, only like grape and orange candy.

Pretty good week I guess. Conditions are getting better, temps are going up and its been more sunny although I don't know if its helping much to fill the buds out because it's pretty close to end of flower, maybe another week or maybe two, i'll check the trichs with a magnifying glass or take some photos with a real camera

Pretty much same stuff. Filling out a little more. Should be done in about a week I think. She's real thirsty but that might be from the increase in temp and sun. This week it's supposed to be rainy again :(

Well I went ahead and harvested so I could get some autos started. I could've definitely let it go on another week but I wanted to give the pot at least a week break between runs. I re-ammended with compost and dry amendments. Sorry I know this isn't my best photos but I was kind of in a rush. I should have a new diary going next week.
