Off to a slow start. It's showing signs of stress with the stream being purple, probably just because of transplant. The light was also accidentally left off for a while, I'm not sure how long, could have been over a day so that is definitely adding to the stress. I also think I may have been running the fan too strong. Thinking about it now it could also be the light is too low although from what I've heard its pretty hard to have too much light with CFLs. Hopefully this next week the roots will have established and it can begin to grow at a faster rate. I'm thinking about getting some kind of micorrhizal inoculant to help the spread of roots. Other than slow growth, it is looking healthy, I'm just really hoping it doesn't continue to grow this slow.

Any ideas to what might be causing these leaves to yellow/die? Only reasons I can think of are nutrient lockout, having the lights too close (although I've heard with CFLs theres pretty much no such thing as too close) or possible having the heater running, or constant fan air

hey there @420pete , what's going on is that the plant did her first vegetation stretch and canabalised itself looking for nutrients, specifically it's looking for N and Mg , that's Nitrogen and magnesium, you can tell from the yellowing in the bottom leaves (N deficiency) and the yellowing between the veins of the leaves (Magnesium deficiency), this happens all the time basically because the cannabis plant eats more magnesium than your average flower. The best thing you can do is pick up a cal-mag supplement they usually have nitrogen in them anyway. Use it as a feed and use it as a foliar spray aswell (6ml / L on the spray) if you spray it on once a day the plant should recover in 5 or 6 days no problem. Hope this helps brother ! 🚀

Thank you all for your replys! It does seem like a deficiency but it could not be from lack of nutrients in the soil. When I made the soil mix I added plenty of compost and a wide variety of dry amendments so I don't think there is any way the plant has used all those nutrients. I think it could have to do with the nutrients not being converted into plant available form yet.

@420pete, I highly recommend a boost to your mycorrhiza (fungal life around roots) to better adjust the PH. In Organic soil you are dependent on the microbial life to adjust your PH for you. For instance using a product like Great White Mycorrhizae would help you a massive amount. https://www.amazon.com/Great-White-PRPSGW04-100049823-Mycorrhizae/dp/B00AU8JKR6

Its awesome you're doing a no till setup. I feel like i rarely see that. I want to get better at reusing my soil and re amending.

I love your no till process. Will you reuse the soil and then reamend it?

@Experimentgreen, Thank you so much! Yes, immediately after chopping I covered it with an inch of compost and a half cup of a dry amendment mix, which I worked into the soil and tried to pull the straw and cover crop up through. Then a week later I planted 4 new auto flower seeds which I just started a new diary on.

Hi @420pete! A serious lack of Nitrogen during the previous weeks forced your plant to find nutrients in the leaves, because there was nothing to eat in the root-zone. If you're serious about growing, get an EC-meter and a pH-pen asap, these tools are not an option when it comes to feeding cannabis properly. Get some fertilizer and start with half of the recommended doses, then slowly increase nutrients intakes if plants are healthy with a beautiful green. Biobizz is a good brand to start with, fully organic and the schedule is pretty simple. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

@HighTV, good point ! depends what you want to save more right? the plant or a few $$$ 😅

@CRiSPrGrow, @420pete Do not solely rely on Cal-Mag products for Nitrogen. Your plants are in a severe deficiency and need more than the Cal-Mag Products offer!

Ive mixed my own " supersoil" and until now ( week 7) i had not to feed my Girls. They get azospirillium and aloes from beginning. google azospirillium its great stuff. Feel free to look into my previous grow ( the big green ones)

@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks, ill look into azospirillium. How do you water with aloe? do you cut it from a plant or do you mix in powders? If you use aloe powder how much do you use?
