Delimed CBD Plus | Tatanka Pure CBD - 1st Indoor 3x3ft
Went down on a lower EC because they were showing signs of too much nutrition. Buds stacking up nicely. Time for another defoliation (Day 92) because the canopy became too dense.
Hey Guys, i experienced that these strains like a lower EC/TDS. Every time i went over 1.2 EC (600ppm TDS) they showed signs of over-nutrition, like very dark green leaves and reddish brown leavetips. What are your thoughts on this? Are CBD-Strains less hungry on nutrients?
Each plant from seed is different. Some needs more food, some less.
Autos tend to need less, but i had heavy feeders too.
Just adjust, its your as growers duty to react to different conditions.
The overall-smell is very pungent and strong. The AC Infinity Filter is doing a great Job. Buds are becoming denser and a bit frosty.
The Tatanka has very small buds in comparison to the Delimed, but they look dense and smell great.
I have signs of, what i consider, over-nutrition on the Tatanka, she shows yellow-orange leave tips. So i gave the tatanka pure water with CalMag Xtra and an EC of around 0.7.
The Delimed i gave Bloom, Boost and CalMag Xtra with an EC of 1 to 1.3.
Every Plant gets 2-3Liter every second day. PH is around 6.3 to 6.5.
Also found nanners on some side-buds of one Delimed plant. It's the one with the big colas...
Plucked all the nanners and will continue.
Found some nanners on some side-buds of one plant of three. It's week 5/Day 33, so at least 2 weeks to go.... Just pluck the nanners out and go on with the grow?
pluck them and double efforts of looking over plants often.
nanners aren't too big of a deal. most of the time their lack of complete anatomy limits their pollen production significantly. A sac is a different animal.
So, is that a lone nanner or a sace that opened with several nanners and a complete set of male organs? Lokos like 2 nanners, but not the best angle. Is there an 'envelope' that opened or are they lone nanners?
you want to catch theses before they are yellow. If they are green, they haven't matured yet.
if it's one plant you definitely keep pressing forward. if it is 1 plant among many you start to weight risks. Maybe, you don't see any more develop, and that's great. or, you see a bunch more and it gets worse, lol. range of factors to consider for best path forward.
can always make bubble hash from seeded weed. (ice water hash... dry ice hash would work too, anything that is a sieving process would be best for seeded weed)
Nanners didn't occur again after i plucked (hopefully) all of them. The light is dimmed to 240watts.
I fertilized one last time with 700ppm at the beginning of the week.
The Tatanka got a little bit less nutrients than the two Delimeds (500ppm).
I gave just water with CalMag Xtra at 225ppm in the middle of the week, the runoff had around 1500ppm.
So there seems to be a pretty high build-up of salts.
I will continue to give water with around 125ppm and measure the runoff.
If the TDS of the runoff is still that high the next time, i will "flush"
a bit more, hoping to get rid of the build-up.
I checked the bud's trichomes, some are a bit cloudy but almost all are still clear.
I flushed a lot since last week, because the EC of the runoff was too high (~1500PPM).
I got it down to 800ppm before harvest.
I am a bit concerned about the humidity in the tent.
I am able to keep it around 51% in the night and around 55% during day time.
There were also a lot of larvae of thrips in the runoff, but nothing to see on the leaves and flowers yet.
Nanners got out of control.
Considering this, I harvested on flowering-day 50.
Harvest report follows when everything is dry.
