Okay! So this is the start of Blackberry by Fastbuds! I’ve tried this strain before and didn’t have very good luck with it. It seems to be a pretty picky strain to grow. I hope I end up getting better results that my last attempt.. (2 dead plants lol.. noob) I’ve decided to pick up some GreenPlanet Nutrients from the local hydro shop .. I hope they make a difference. Everything you see in the picture was about $180 I think. Not too bad. For the first week starting, I’m only going to give plain PH’d water. Wish me goodluck!

Blackberry is coming along nicely. It looks like a good healthy seedling so far. I’m hoping this goes better than my first attempt at growing this strain like a year ago.. Im expecting to do much better this time around since I’ve learned a lot since then.. I’m hoping the addition of these new boosters will make a difference. So this grow is kind of an experiment. I have a busy schedule coming up so hopefully everything goes according to plan! I’m excited to get some purple weed.. I hope I get a pure purple pheno..! That would be awesome !! The plant is coming along .. growth isn’t as fast as I was hoping for... But it looks healthy so far at least. It’s a little on the scrawny side. I did bend it over with a plant stake to try and get some LsT done on it. I’m hoping to spread it out and it’s growth has fallen behind its sisters in the tent..(AK47 see other journal). It looks like a promising start with this grow and I hope it picks up the pace a little with this plant. But over all it’s going much better than my previous grow with Blackberry a year ago. -TheWeedMan

I didn’t put very much effort the last few weeks, as I mentioned earlier, I had a busy schedule and wasn’t able to give the Garden the full attention it deserved. Unfortunately the plant came out kinda shitty looking in my opinion, it’s the runt of the litter for this run of plants. It stretched faster and hardened the stems before I was able to notice and get some proper training done on it. The other plants had the same attention amount and produced FAR better looking plants, they seemed to bush out better than this plant did. Weird. My previous attempted with these genetics also produced very sub-par plants which I chose not to document with a journal. This plant seems decent enough to keep around, I might get some cool buds! I think Blackberry is meant to be more of an exotic strain being purple , so I don’t think it will produce massive yields. Wait and see .. wish me luck! Fastbuds has always been getting top marks in my books but maybe I got a dud package but it feels like maybe a bit of wasted plant space when the other strains got same attention and produced far better results so far. well we are moving along now.. the plant is showing a few issues with the watering schedule.. the other plants in the garden are happy with it but the blackberry proves to be a picky plant as I experienced before. The positive side is it’s getting some really cool looking purple nugs. They look dark purple.. maybe I got a neat pheno type? I’ve personally never seen something like this is in person before. Pretty cool! The Nugs are getting a nice sourish berry smell to them. It seems quite pleasant and aromatic. Looking forward to seeing what this girl turns into..! I’m not expecting a huge yield but I think some exotic flowers will compensate for that! -TheWeedMan

This is about week 8. The plant continues to be much pickier than it’s sisters in the tent. I think it requires a different watering regiment than the AK47s do as it’s further in flowering than them. I’ll attempt to correct this going forward to improve results. The flowers are building up nicely and looks pretty frightening dope. Dark purple nugs is awesome and something I’d imagine is rarely seen in person. The nugs in the photos look pretty damn crystally at the moment too and it’s not ready to harvest yet either! Sweeeeet! It’s been a more difficult grow than the others in the tent and I don’t think it will yield as much either but I’m excited to get some very exotic purple nugs soon! -TheWeedMan

Alright so this is Week 9 update. The girl has been in flush for the last few days and has reached it peak ripening period. so it’s almost time for the chop..! The nugs look amazing on here now.. very purple nugs that look shiny and crystally. The glisten in the light at the right angle! Even the leaves went all cool colours during the flush, so that’s pretty neat too. It needs a few more days of flush before it gets the chop. It’s coming along much faster than it’s siblings in the tent. I’m really excited to try some purple weed ! Plus the Nugs smell very good like sour grapes and berries.. I hope it retains all these when it dries..! Yummmm! -TheWeedMan

Well we got super purple weed! That smells like sour fruity berries. Pretty damn cool ! I ended up getting about 72g dry weight from the one plant .. about basically 2.5oz of pure purpley bliss. The stuff is an exotic harvest for sure. It was a picky plant but it yielded some very cool and unique weed. I’m more than pleased with the results from this plant despite its troublesome grow. I think I could continue to improve on this plant as I’ve learned it’s generics over time now. Thanks for checking it out! -TheWeedMan0
