First Grow - Grape Bear OG

All Seeds popped late on 7/4/24 (3 days in). Had a couple helmet heads that needed so help shedding the seed husk. Other than that, seeds are doing well by day 5, all are developing their second set of true leaves. Just giving about 40-50 ml of water a day while in the solo cups. Added FF Big Bloom (1/3 strength) on day 4. Conditions have been pretty stable in the tent so far.

A couple days into week 2. Plants all appear to be doing well and growing. All similar sized at this point. Will be transplanting to 5g pots within the next 24 hours.

Entering w3 and experiencing good growth. #1 is really taking off and #2 & #3 are a bit behind since the transplant. They appear healthy and fairly vigorous at this point. Hoping for some good growth this week. Adding FF grow and bloom per schedule.

Entering w4 and all plants are growing nicely with very little maintenance. Starting drinking a lot more (up to .5l per day each). Started a little LST this week. Pre-flowers showing pistols on all 3.

Nice week of easy growth. Doubled in size through the week and appear well into the stretch. Bud sites popping up and all are throwing pistols, particularly number 1. All are relatively the same size and they range from 11.5 to13.5 inches. Minimal maintenance so far, and all are getting very thirsty. Lightly defoliated the lower fan leaves an all three plants.

Big week of stretching this week, with lots of bud sites popping up. Really didn’t do much except for some ScrOG tucking for canopy evening-out and light defoliation down low. The ladies are getting very thirsty. Temp/Humidity a little high, but doesn’t seem to be an issue at this point. Nutes according to schedule.

Big week. #3 finally took off a stretched 11 inches this week while #1 & #2 appear to have stopped stretching and are starting to stack up. Starting to develop that classic Kush smell with hints of grapes behind it. Very please with this first grow so far and just doing minimal maintenance. Have done light defoliation so far, but will do a bigger one this week. Nutes according to schedule with no other supplements so far. #1 & #2 have started showing a bit of frost on the top cola and both about ~25 inches. #3 appears to be a couple days behind.

Entering week 8 (w4 of Flowering) and so far, I’m very pleased. Plants seem very happy and are getting quite frosty ☃️. Stopped growing up and seem focused on stacking flowers. I had to bend the top cola on the tallest plant (#3) to keep it out of the light. Will probably require further support once it fattens up. Smell coming off these ladies is delightful: Heavy sweet grapes, with a hint of funky Kush behind it. Steady as she goes.

Pretty uneventful week for the ladies, and they are just doing their thing. Buds are fattening up nicely with minimal effort and just water with the recommended FF nutes. Breeding indicates that these should be finished in about 70 days, and that seems pretty on target. About 2 weeks left, and trichomes are still pretty clear. All 3 are very frosty and smells are a pretty strong musky- grapey at this point and getting excited to try them. Temps are okay (mid-70’s), and the humidity is about 55-58% Edit - Day 62. GB1 is starting to get in the early window is think. Fattening up and about 75% of pistils darkenened and 40-50% trichs cloudy. GB2 is right behind her and GB3 (the big mama) is a few days behind. Will harvest all together probably within 7-10 days.

These ladies are coming down to the end now and ripening fast. Starting to stink pretty good an GB1 appears ready to burst. Trichomes ranging from about 50-70% cloudy (GB1) to about 30-35% (GB3), so all reasonably close and will harvest together. It’s getting pretty tight in the tent, and had to do some light defoliating (10%) to try to keep the humidity down. Strong Grape Juice w/ hint of Kush smell off all of them.

Will update after dry and cure. Excellent grow and was very pleased. Learned a lot for my next grow. Smell is a little like fermented Grape Juice.
