I've been vegging these girls in solo cups for about 1month, then transfered to 5gal final pots. They were vegged until the base stem size was thick, amount of tops were selected (35 total tops, 7 on each plant) and you could tell that they hit the water reserve with the tap root, about 2 weeks more. At the time of the flip of. Lights i did a trim, you can see the before and after pictures.
Plants have already stretched about 8 inches. I have also gone through any branches stretching of by 2 inches or more and removed them. Leaving fan leaves intact.
Start of Week 4 begins tomorrow, unfortunately I'll be out of town. I've been removing branches, but in the last 3 or so days I've stopped removal. It's time for these girls to really start stacking. ran out of potassium silicate. Will be continuing with out it for the rest of the grow.
Started to notice a slight smell when leaving the door open and returning after a few minutes. This started in the last couple days
Start of Week 5
Over the last couple of days the smell went from a slight hint before entering the space to a pungent smell that just wofts from the plants. I've never grown a full screen before and never noticed how much these smell. It is possible it could be the Granddaddy Purple but my guess from the good bag smell on this strain, that it's the critical smell.
I have two sections of plants growing from the same feeding resivour. For the first time ever I've decided to do a mid grow flush.
I ran through 1-2gal of water on each 5 gal bucket. I use only perlite as medium so I figured that I wouldn't need much to flush. It all drained back to the main resivour and I disposed of it. I ran a 24hr cycle of straight PHed tallboy filtered tap water (160ppm) and then drained that again (340ppm).
I refilled the resivour with fresh nutes and PHed again (1100ppm)
I did a res change on Tuesday. These girls are just sucking back nutes. Started my res at 1020ppm on Friday by Tuesday im down to ~500ppm. Very slight burn at the tips of some of the leaves.
Well it's that time again, flushing begins. I'm about 2 weeks away from finishing off the screen. I've gone around to each pot and watered from the tops with tallboy filtered water (160pp). I've changed the res over to PH'ed water with a touch of Laguna Bio Sludge Control. This should allow the plants to soak up any remaining nutrients in the leaves, and if there's any dead roots the biosludge will break it down and feed it as more nutrients for the final finishing.
Excellent strain for your night time delight. Hints of nuts and wood giving this a delicious flavour profile. Lots of THC Crystals and previously tested at 21% THC Levels.
I had a way better than expected harvest. I'm expecting a dry weight of around 1.8p.
Harvested a wet weight total of 4187.
Pot 1: 974
Pot 2: 968
Pot 3: 901
Pot 4: 728

I am currently in my 10th week of critical kush growing, so it really looks the same :)
good luck and enjoy it !
May the force be with you
@Drtomb, i did grow only some bubblgum and strawberry on a dark balcony on my mum's first floor maybe 10 years ago or more but it was dark and the plants produced only a few buds of very good quality...
Later i tried a 250W HID with soil, was a total disaster with spider mites and lack of knowledge... I wasn't adjusting my pH, wasn't doing anything right. Now it's the right one, although my wife isn't enchanted seeing me grow my own smoke as it is not 100% legal in our country :)
