I didn't have enough big clones taken off the mother to get 9 pots filled, so I will only be tracking 6 of the 9 pots. Plants were vegged about 2 weeks in solo cups before being moved into 5 gal flood buckets filled with straight perlite. I added myke to the perlite and also have been side watering a cup of Tarantula mix once a week. This is approximately 3 weeks of veg in the 5 gal buckets.
These strawberry glue are doing great. They said this girls really reach for the sky once you start to flower, and at day 4 of Flower I'll have to agree.
After a very SLOW veg time, feeling like the plants were barely growing, i flipped the lights and the plants were only 12", now in 4 days they have already grown 3" more to 15". The node spacing is so closely clustered, i thing this girl is gonna stack on weight.
These girls although still continuing upwards stretch are very short plants. Hoping they really continue to reach hard. Ran out of potassium silicate. Will be continuing with out it for the rest of the grow.
Start of Week 3
There was 5 inches of growth over the last 7 days. It is a total of 25inches now, when I started flower it was 16 inches. My guess is that it will get to around 32"
I have two sections of plants growing from the same feeding resivour. For the first time ever I've decided to do a mid grow flush.
I ran through 1-2gal of water on each 5 gal bucket. I use only perlite as medium so I figured that I wouldn't need much to flush. It all drained back to the main resivour and I disposed of it. I ran a 24hr cycle of straight PHed tallboy filtered tap water (160ppm) and then drained that again (340ppm).
I refilled the resivour with fresh nutes and PHed again (1100ppm)
I did a res change on Tuesday. These girls are just sucking back nutes. Started my res at 1020ppm on Friday by Tuesday im down to ~500ppm.
The bud sites are just starting to develop and it will be interesting to see where they go.
Still running the same nutrient ratios and everything is doing great. I did fuck up royally by using too many colas per squares. I'll fix that if I grow her again, that will all depend on how tasty the buds are and what the thc tests say.
Have not smoked, but this is the lowest yield to date. I've grown THSeeds strains before and have always had decent to great experiences. This however is something else.
Even the biggest plant yielded less than 2.5oz (usually I yield 5oz ). I killed the mom immediately after the harvest. Have to cut loses and move along.
