First ever grow! - Week 2

I've always had a green thumb so instead of paying the exorbitant prices where I live I figured I'd try my hand at growing. I just turned 60 and am too damn old to care what anyone thinks at this point. I've had 10 back surgeries and two neck surgeries so until my state gets their shit together I'm taking a shot at this.It's all for pain control. If the powers that be don't like it, they can kiss my ass. I have this cabinet in my garage, seems like the perfect set up. I've got three seeds planted, all by Fast Bud - AK, Cheese and Grapefruit. I had the flat red/blue LED grow light from my sons science project from years ago and I added a 4 light white LED lamp. Had the pots in the backyard. I drilled 4 4" holes in the side of each pot and covered them with screen. I read somewhere aeration is important, especially in a plastic pot. Lined my walls with white plastic bags to help reflect the light, hung a circulation fan up in the corner, added a timed surge protector, bought my fertilizers and soil from Fox Farm and have a small exhaust fan coming for the opposite wall from the circulation fan. Also only using rain water. Hoping to be able to grow 3 plants in here but I have a feeling 2 is probably more like it. I'm really looking forward to my first grow and documenting it all so wish me luck!!! UPDATE: WE HAVE LIFT OFF!!! The Fast Buds AK, Cheese and Grapefruit were all planted directly to pot this past Monday, July 15th. I created this diary last night, Wednesday, July 17th and overnight, today on Thursday morning, July 18, 2024 all three strains have popped! I can tell this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship! Oh, and thanks for the comment Seedsman. These seeds came from you!
