The girls are really taking off now. First full 4L/plant watering on 23-12-2018
Topped all 3 on 24-12-2018
Identified an Iron deficiency on one of the Jack's. Allow to fully dry, then lower PH to 5.5-5.8.

Resolved last weeks iron deficiency on one of the Jack Herer’s by adjusting watering PH down to 5.5. Also added Cal Mag on last watering.

Day 34. Flipping light cycle to 12/12.
Had a little nutrient burn on both ladies and did a full flush with water @ PH 5.6. and two days later are looking much better. The GDP is still residing in the tent, just moved out of the way for photos. Next (light) feeding is scheduled for tomorrow evening.

Week one of flowering is in the books. Everything is going to plan and growth is really starting to take off. Added Canna Rhyzotonic and Canna Boost for the firs time this week.
Week 2 of flower is done and the girls got a big haircut. I removed the bottom 1/3 and did some very gentle LST. The heavy defoliation caused the humidity to drop 10% in the tent and plant water uptake increased as well.
I also monster cropped some clones in the process. I put them on 24hr light cycle to re-veg them and they seen to be rooting.
This week the trellis netting went in and I replaced the giant 16" oscillating fan with two 7.5" Monkey fans to free up floor space. Buds are popping up everywhere and I spotted some minor Cal Mag deficiency that will be addressed in tomorrow's feeding. All things considered I am extremely satisfied with the health and progress.
The Cola's are starting to pack on some sweet smelling Trichomes and the Pistils are starting to turn golden, One, Patience is the name of this game...
Day 40 of flower and the Cola's are starting to fatten up nicely. Deficiencies have been addressed - I think - but the visible damage remains. It has still been a good learning experience over all and I am already looking forward to the next grow.
First home grow and many lessons learned.
Overfeeding is super easy even with good measurement tools for EC & PH. I used ProMix HP for this grow and I won't be using it again. It's difficult to get the watering right for a beginner as this medium holds on to moisture even in elevated fabric pots. It can only get better on my next grow and the one after that and so on...
The next grow will be in auto pots & buffered Coco. Looking forward to trying something new and learning from that.000
@CANNASIM, Thank you! I decided to just go for the best possible light for my grow space. The HLG 550 V2 is performing beyond my wildest expectations. For flower 30W/sqft is about right when shopping for QB’s. I just got a HLG- 100 for the veg tent too.
@VanGoghsEar, yeah they look like they grow pretty fast! Well that is your call, the tent seems to be big enough to support some large bushy plants. I don't really know the strain and am a first time grower myself, but these look to be turning out very well!
wow, you've done really well ! they're looking incredible ! I know you didn't ask but i'm seeing a magnesium deficiency creep on (you can tell from the yellowing between the veins of the leaves), up or even double your cal mag for 10 days or so and it should redress if it's not too late. Looking fantastic though,
@CRiSPrGrow,Thanks! It's coming along nicely. I am aware of the mag deficiency, I missed adding Cal Mag twice in a row during past feedings. I've added it back and the symptoms are not progressing any longer.
I like your set up! I just got a new set up for Christmas. I went with the QB too. Mine is smaller though. I wonder if I'll need another 260w before too long.
Is it common to run into deficiencies when growing in coco? I've always grown in soil, but other growers I've talked to swear by soilless.
Hey bud, in my opinion you been watering too often from the puffy/bumpy leaves. I also feel that light should be raised up farther as well if thst is a true 600 watt.
Best of luck on your grow.
yo you got a magnesium deficiency, you'll want to up that on the regular, maybe make a foliar spray (2x the regular feed on the package , spray until wet once a day for five days) 👊
@VanGoghsEar, pretty sure it does have "stuff in it" check it out https://www.pthorticulture.com/en/products/pro-mix-hp/#tab:product-specification something about the "lime stone" and "wetting agent" means you're seeing problems , as many many many growers have also on this very site. not your fault at all
@CRiSPrGrow, Not sure what you mean by "stuff in it", Promix comes with no nutrients.
The plainest, cheapest coco may not be rinsed well and could be high in sodium so be careful there.
