Blue Cush is a UK Blues/GreenCrack cross that Im excited to try!
Blue Cush from Seedsman (Possibly old Mephisto genetics?)
5g soft pot in ProMix organic soil
450w viparspectra (200w actual draw)
BlueCush (Seedsman)
Day14 from sprout.
Started a light nutrient feed this week. About quarter strength of what is recommended. Also added neem oil to soil drench as I noticed a couple of gnats in the air and don't want that to become an issue.
BLUE CUSH
35 Days from sprout.
Light training. Leaf tucking and pony tailing. Pony tailing seems to help with the side branching.
She is genetically a small plant I believe, but she might be smaller then expected.. Possibly due to lower RH early on. Otherwise she seems to be doing ok.
Attempted a layer of clay pellets after soaking in PH'd water for 16 hours, to combat the gnats from reaching the soil. I feel like sand may have been a better choice and removed the clay before feeding again. There are so few gnats that its not much of an issue, but I'd like to eliminate the threat before flowering really kicks in.
BLUE CUSH
DAY 42 FROM SPROUT
She is quite bushy and appears she will have many bud spots.
Did not add any more neem oil to soil drench and did a small flush this week.
Clay pellet layer was not much for keeping the gnats off the soil. Sand likely would have been better. Not able to get sand at his time so tried a covering with plastic wrap. This worked much better however I'm keeping a close eye out for any mold development. Haven't seen a gnat in a couple of days now. So far so good.
BLUE CUSH
DAY 49 FROM SPROUT
She is a bushy plant with dark leaves of an almost blue tint.
Removed the plastic wrap covering and still seems to be no more gnats.
BLUE CUSH (SEEDSMAN)
56 Days from sprout.
She is really bushy and showing many bud spots. Alot of dark leaves with a blue-ish tint. She is beginning to smell quite skunky as well.
BLUE CUSH (SEEDSMAN)
63 Days from sprout.
She is really bushy with many bud spots. Alot of dark leaves with a blue-ish tint. She is strong skunky smelling at this point.
BLUE CUSH (SEEDSMAN)
70 Days from sprout.
She has many thick buds for such a small plant. Trichomes are about where I want them so she will be getting the chop and dry in a matter of days
Impressive growth! For a small girl she was bushy and full of thick sticky buds! Some of the higher up buds had some amber trichomes so some of the buds are more suited for night smoke then others in the jar. Overall a good day smoke though. With tropical flavors and aromas.
BLUE CUSH (SEEDSMAN)
74 Days from sprout. Planted and chopped during full moon cycles.
This plant was enjoyable to grow. Very bushy with many bud spots for such a small plant. She was a limited availability find and I'm glad I have more seeds of this strain still as I believe its no longer available from my distributor. Definitely will grow this strain again in the future!
When breaking up she smells of pineapple and spice. The smoke, although still abit green from unfinished cure, has hints of pineapple and grapefruit mixed with a diesel mint like taste. Quite original and enjoyable. I would recommend this strain to anyone who can still find it!
In the end I have 30 grams of nice bud from this plant!
@MissBling, indeed! I was impressed with seedsmans genetics considering they are modest with promotion in compared to some other breeders. I have some Pink Kush CBD autos from them that I will be trying out soon. I think the seedsman site had a few singles of the Blue Cush last I checked. I still have a few myself for future grows! Thanks for checking out the grow!!
@BigBudWolf, Haha It looks it!! I'm going to try and source some seeds I think?! Got a seedsman auto lemon going atm and it's absolutely dripping with trichromes!! 😃👍Really Cant fault the good genetics xx
Yea no doubt! I appreciate the input. I did come across diatomaceous earth for gnat control while researching options @OutForReal, Ultimately I tried what was easily accessible for me at the time. I intend on keeping some on hand with the neem oil for future need because it does sound like it works. Although I believe if I had my environment properly dialed in earlier on, I wouldn't be having this issue.
There's nothing I love more than logging on and seeing a new grow starting. I get so excited to see how everything is going to develop as the grow progresses. I wish you the best of luck in this grow my friend.
Cheers
