7/30/24: Placed the seeds in the paper towel. 8/1/24: Checked the seeds and noticed they were ready. Planted them directly into 1gal grow bags(lightly buffered) and popped a humidity dome on them. 8/2/24: Removed humidity domes and added a humidifier to regulate humidity, Replaced pans under pots with Plant trays/pot elevators to prevent it from sitting in its runoff. 8/5/24: Pots feel lighter, soil isn't moist to the touch. Slightly increasing nutrients to half the recommended dose for seedlings(2mL/Gal of each base, 4mL/Gal B-52 and Voodoo) and giving them their first feeding.

8/7/24: Enjoying watching the ladies grow. Noticed (maybe?) some small spots on Ethel, but not sure if it's just my beginner's paranoia. 8/8/24: Always surprised by how much they've grown. Noticed the spots still, I believe. Not sure if it's something to worry about. Hopefully It's just my usual overthinking/worrying. 8/10/24: Soil feels a little moist still, will probably be watering again in the next couple days. 8/11/24: Soil still moist, but bags feeling much lighter. Will definitely be watering them either tonight or tomorrow. 8/12/24: Noticed some slight curling on one of the smaller leaves, making me think I waited to long to feed. Fed the girls with the nutrients at half the recommended again. 8/13/24: Leaves looking better since watering, although noticed tips look like they could be getting a little white. I'll continue to monitor this closely, in case it is a burn and not just my paranoia. 8/13/24: Adjusted the circulating fan, in hopes of encouraging a stronger stem. 8/14/24: Definitely slight yellowing at a few tips/edges. I'll be keeping an eye on this closely. Girls are getting big fast, definitely gonna be transplanting into bigger pots soon.

8/15/24: Man these gals grew fast. The tips yellowing and slightly curling concern me, I'll be ordering a TDS meter after work so I can start testing the runoff. Adjusted the light height a bit as to not blast them. 8/16/24: Transplanted them into their final home today. Soil was definitely not dry enough but realized when it was too late. Hopefully these girls recover OK. Upped the nutrients to the recommended. 8/17/24: Lucy is looking a little sad after the transplant but the gals are looking better than I expected, honestly. I botched the hell out of the transplant, but I'm hoping they recover in a day or so. 8/19/24: Top was dry but there was still some weight to the grow bags and mid/bottom felt cold/moist so I sprayed the top with regular RO water(pH'ed to 5.8) and gave the girls a quarter turn just prevent any wind burn from the fans(most likely pointless) 8/20/24: Girls are looking bigger but I noticed some yellowing starting, wondering if I'm not giving enough nutrients. Soil was pretty dry so I upped the nutrients to the recommended for week 2 and gave the girls another feeding, until runoff. Still trying to get the hang of finding that sweet spot between not dry enough and too dry. All of this has been a very fun, very nerve-racking(due to my constant over-worrying lol) learning experience for me so far. 8/21/24: Amazed at the rate these gals grow, but definitely worrying now. Noticing tiny burns on the edges, and the yellowing has gotten more noticeable on Ethel(seen in pictures ex:1&2) and Lucy seems noticeably more droopy. I really hope this is something I can quickly and easily fix/reverse. The TDS Meter will arrive later tonight, so I'll be able to test the runoff of my feeding from now on. I also saved some runoff from yesterday for me to test once it arrived, hopefully it hasn't been sitting too long.

Just recently transplanted(1gal - 5gal), first-timer so it didn't go as smoothly as I planned or hoped. The girls look a little sad, which I hear is pretty normal this soon after transplanting, but is there anything I can do that can help the ladies make a full/quick recovery?

They are going to recover perfectly in just a few days. Give them some time to get used to their new environment and make new roots/drink the moisture from the fresh soil and they will peak up again!😊 I think they are looking very good for your first grow! 😊

The yellowing has gotten worse and I'm noticing slightly burnt tips/edges and some droop. Could this be burn/deficiency or over/underwatering? A combination? Is there anything I can do to fix this early or is it just a matter of giving them some time and less nutrients? Thanks!

Difficult to tell, but my guess would be a combination of nitrogen deficiency (the yellowing is quite uniform) and a little overwatering. Mg deficiency the leaf veins stay quite green and the rest of the leaf lightens.

8/22/24: Noticing some curling on the leaves. Everything I see online says it's most likely light or heat stress, so I'll raise the lights a couple inches just to be safe. 8/23/24: The color seems to be improving, as well as the curling fingers on the leaves. I'm hopeful things will look much better soon, although the yellowing of the center vein in some of the leaves and spotting/burnt tips in pictures A-D are worrying. I'll keep an eye on things as I start to learn how to properly feed these gals. I'm trying my best and learning a lot along the way. 8/24/24: Man these gals are growing. still keeping an eye on those spots and the slightly burnt tips. 8/25/24: Took the advice of the awesome growers on the site and topped the ladies today. soils dry, I'll be feeding these gals tonight before work once the lights kick back on. 8/26/24: soil was dry so I upped the nutes to recommended and fed the gals. Also gave the ladies a turn, in an attempt to prevent any wind stress or anything. Probably pointless, but better safe than sorry I guess. 8/27/24: Holy hell these gals are looking good (I think lol). They're growing quick as hell. I feel like I've finally dialed in the nutes, or at least getting close to where they should be. 8/28/24: End of week 3 and I couldn't be happier with these gals. Growing big and fast, going to start thinking about LST or defoliation soon possibly.

I've heard that you shouldn't top your ladies while there are any deficiencies or issues as it can be extremely stressful. Considering the light spotting and slightly burnt tips, would you say these gals are fine to top or should I wait until everything is perfect and dialed in?

They are looking happy and healthy. You can definitely top, just take off as little as you can on the top node. Sometimes you might need to wait a day or 2 for it to open up so you can cut just the tip off. That helps a lot for them to not take too much of a hit.

8/29/24: Trouble in paradise. I've noticed some tiny holes on some of the leaves of the offshoots from where I topped Ethel, as seen in pics A-D. I've only seen them on that small area so I'm hoping it's something super small and easy to fix, as from the sounds of things holes can mean big issues. I tried my best but couldn't see any pests with the naked eye or my phone's macro lens. I know they're extremely hard to see so I'll be ordering a jeweler's loupe when I get home tonight to help identify any issues. 8/30/24: Man these gals are getting big fast, and they're starting to smell a little too! 8/31/24: Bigger and bigger, placed the order for my flower nutes, plan on flipping in about a week or 2. Also looking into training/supercropping techniques. I'd like to dip my toes to increase yields and get an idea for the techniques, without going to crazy and stressing the plants, biting off more than I can chew. 9/1/24: Man these girls are getting big quick, I'll definitely be flipping in the next couple weeks. 9/2/24: Gals are getting bigger and I'm getting more excited each day. Pretty dry, I'll be feeding them either tonight or tomorrow. 9/3/24: Went ahead and upped the nutes per the feeding chart and fed the ladies today. Also rotated them a bit. Not sure if that helps or hurts anything, I just figured it might help even things out. Going to be flipping VERY soon. 9/4/24: I definitely think I'll be flipping the ladies tomorrow. These sure do grow fast, almost worried about the stretch lol.

9/5/24: Well these gals grew quick. Did some slight defoliation, just removing the dead leaves at the bottom. Their growth rate has me a little worried about the stretch so I'll be flipping the ladies tonight. Lights are currently on from 12am-6pm, but I'll be giving them an extra long night tonight, so I can adjust the lights to be on from 10am-10pm as those hours will better align with my work schedule. 9/6/24: I'm excited to see these gals stretch. Already almost dry, will need to fed either tomorrow or the next day. 9/7/24: Girls looking good. Noticed the negative pressure in the tent was making the side press against Lucy, causing one of her sides to get all droopy and bunched. Added another support rod to keep the tent from pressing up against them. 9/8/24: Almost dry, I'll definitely be feeding tomorrow morning. 9/9/24: Gals were definitely needing some food. Went ahead and switched to the bloom cycle nutrients, per the manufacturer's instructions, and gave them another feeding. Looking forward to seeing how fast these ladies grow the next couple weeks. 9/10/24: Lucy is looking a little sad, wondering if she may be getting too much light and wind. Went ahead and raised the fan and the light a bit to hopefully reduce some stress and get her growing nice and happy again. 9/11/24: Glad to see the ladies looking better after their feeding and adjusting the light and fan. Depending on how crazy they grow this next week or 2, I may have to trellis.

9/12/24: Man I feel like every day I get surprised by how fast they're growing. Getting hungry now too, they already feel like they're ready for another soon. Researching trellising and defoliation now, so I can prepare myself and now screw anything up. 9/13/24: Checked on the gals after work and dang is Lucy is stretching. Raised the light and fan again. Soil is almost dry, I'm probably gonna feed the ladies tomorrow. 9/14/24: Ladies were lookin sad and they were pretty dry, went ahead and gave the gals a feeding. Excited to see how they look when I get home from work tomorrow. 9/15/24: The gals are looking much better after yesterday's feeding. Excited to see how big they get the next couple days. 9/16/24: Man I'm definitely sensing a trellis and defoliation in my future. Loving how they look though. 9/17/24: Girls are getting big as usual, hungry too, already getting a bit dry 9/18/24: Man oh man another week down, time is flying. I'll definitely be feeding the ladies either tomorrow or the next day.

9/19/24: Gals were sad and dry today(especially Ethel) so I went ahead and removed the old dead leaves from the bottom, followed the week 3 feeding chart, and fed them. Excited to see them tomorrow morning once they've had time to perk up and recover. 9/20/24: Looking much better after yesterday's feeding. The little starting buds are getting me excited for what's to come. 9/21/24: Man these ladies are stretching. Raised the lights just a bit out of precaution. 9/22/24: Bigger each day. I'll be doing some defoliating and probably adding the net within the next couple days, right before I feed again(if they can wait that long). 9/23/24: Gals are starting to get dry again, I'll be feeding tomorrow or the next day. Possibly defoliating and trellis also, I've read that around day 21 of flower is the best time to defoliate during this phase. 9/24/24: Went ahead and did a little lollipopping and some very light defoliation(didn't get too crazy with it as I didn't want to overstress the girls or screw anything up), moved one of the oscillating fans low to get some airflow down there, and finished it up with another feeding. 9/25/24: Another week down. Currently battling extremely high humidity so I went out and picked up a dehumidifier for the lung room. I'm hoping it's enough to drop things to where I need them before mold or any issues set in.

9/26/24: Managed to finally dial back the humidity luckily. Ladies are definitely gonna need to be fed tomorrow. 9/27/24: Went ahead and fed the ladies again today after work. The new dehumidifier manages to keep the humidity down finally too. 9/28/24: Noticing some stuff on the leaves. I'm definitely thinking(praying) it's just normal trichomes and not some sort of mildew or fungus. The recent humidity battle has me stressed and over-worried. 9/29/24: Did a little more defoliating with the burnt/dying leaves and rotated the plants to hopefully balance light and everything. 9/30/24: Gals are getting thirsty again. I'll probably be feeding them again before work tomorrow. 10/1/24: Went ahead and fed the ladies again today. They're really starting to get hungry. Also rotated them a little bit to try help things a bit. 10/2/24: Another awesome week down. Getting more and more excited for the smoke.

10/3/24: Lucy and Ethel are looking good, minus a few leaves that look to be slightly burnt/deficient. Will definitely need to feed them either tomorrow (most likely) or the next day. 10/4/24: Ladies were looking sad today, had to wait way later in the day to feed them than I wanted to. 10/5/24: ladies are looking much better now that they've had time to recover. 10/6/24: The gals are looking good and the temps are finally starting to drop a more ideal range. Fingers crossed I don't screw anything up until time to harvest. 10/7/24: The gals are pretty light so I have a feeling they'll definitely need to be fed tomorrow morning before work. 10/8/24: Still had a little weight to them so I decided to wait one more day and feed them tomorrow. Hopefully I don't regret this. 10/9/24: Woke up and fed the ladies this morning. You can tell they needed it. They're starting to smell stronger now too which is awesome. One more week down, just a few more to go. Pray I don't screw nothing up until then.

10/10/24: First day of a new week. Girls are looking much better after their feeding. I'm getting more and more excited as we go. 10/11/24: Gals look like they're starting to pack on some in the buds. It's hard to believe its only been 2 months. 10/12/24: Felt a little light today. Ill Probably have to feed them after work tomorrow. 10/13/24: Girl were looking really sad today, Definitely needed to be fed, hopefully they look much better when I get home tomorrow. Followed the feeding chart and adjusted the nutrients. 10/14/24: Looking much better after their feeding. The buds seem to really be packing on. 10/15/24: Ladies are feeling pretty light today, will probably feed them again tomorrow. 10/16/24: Fed the ladies again today, Noticed some slightly burnt tips, I may have to dial things back a bit. 10/17/24: The start of a new week. Still keeping an eye on those tips, really tryin to not mess anything up this close to the end. I'm wondering if I should start the flush a little earlier than recommended on the chart, per the advice of another grower. Although it has been my experience so far as a beginner that most of my issues came up when I didn't trust the process, so Ill probably just follow the chart. 10/18/24: Girls are looking good again today, Burnt tips don't seem to be getting any worse, and I haven't noticed any other issues so far. Got everything crossed that it's smooth sailing from here out. 10/19/24: Ladies still have some weight to them so I'll probably be feeding them tomorrow or the next day. 10/20/24: The gals felt pretty light so I went ahead and fed them again. Next week begins the flush. 10/21/24: Noticing more of the burnt tips. I would say I would adjust but next week is the flush so I'll just have to keep this in mind for my next run. 10/22/24: Still some weight to the pots so I'll be feeding them tomorrow or starting the flush a few days from now. 10/23/24: Time is flying. Ladies still felt like they had a little weight to them so I decided to just start the flush tomorrow. I'm hoping I don't regret not feeding them today.

10/24/24: Went ahead and watered the ladies today, starting the flush with Flawless Finish. Still following the feeding chart and trusting the process. 10/25/24: Ladies, mainly Lucy, are having a hard time keeping the nugs up and there's some yellowing. Wonder if I overwatered. Hopefully they'll be looking tall and proud when I check on them tomorrow. 10/26/24: I'm definitely starting to get worried about Lucy. She's still having a hard time keeping her branches up and a few branches are still drooping. The yellowing doesn't seem quite as bad, hopefully they're able to bounce back soon. 10/27/24: Well unfortunately Lucy is still having a hard time standing up. I'm not sure if she just didn't get enough training and the nugs are too heavy, if I overwatered, or what the deal is. I'll ask the growmies on the site and hopefully get some insight. Fingers, toes, and tits crossed that everything is ok. 10/28/24: Ladies were pretty rough today. Light pots and looking droopy so I went ahead and watered them and gave them a little slight rotate. Hoping they look much better tomorrow. 10/29/24: Well they seem a little better today. Noticed some more yellowing of the leaves. 10/30/24: Yellowing doesn't seem to be getting worse. Only a few days left I hope. Fingers crossed everything goes well.

10/31/24: Ladies are getting pretty dry, I'll probably need to water them tomorrow. I'm also probably going to need to to put some supports for the last few days. 11/1/24: Felt pretty light today. Went ahead and watered them. My excitement is building and I cant wait to see how this turns out. 11/2/24: Yellowing a little more, Really hoping this is the normal color change during the end of flower/flush. Keep your fingers crossed I don't screw nothing up in the home stretch. 11/3/24: Ladies are still having a hard time keeping their heads up. Definitely think I started the flush a little early, but you live and you learn. 11/4/24: Checked on the girls this morning and decided to come back later tonight to check on them and take pics. Unfortunately I completely forgot that the clocks went back so the lights cut off an hour early now and it was too late for me to take any. More pics incoming tomorrow. 11/5/24: Ladies feel a little light but I think they can go one more day before another water. I'll double check later just in case. Its also coming really close to chop time, going to ask the advice of the wiser growmies here before I jump the gun. 11/6/24: Went ahead and watered the gals again today. Grateful as always to the wisdom given to me from the growmies on this site. Another week in the books, getting closer and closer, I can't wait!

Flowering time is said to be 60-70 days, today is day 62. I've seen a lot on the trichomes and when to harvest but I don't quite have the eye for it yet as it's my first time. Would you guys say these are ready or should I go a few more days. Thanks in advance for any help!

High KingMickey, You still need about 1 or 2 weeks to go. The best way to tell that a plant is ready for harvest is with a pocket microscope (60x is perfect). The trichomes change color from uripe (clear as glass) to ripe (milky white) to expired (amber brown). When 80% from the trichomes are milky white it is the perfect time to harvest. But if you do not want to use a microscope then the pistils (brown hairs) are the second best indicator. When 80-90% from the pistils are brown it is time to harvest. You still need 1 to 2 weeks till the ideal time for harvest. The buds look great buddy! Enjoy the harvest! 💚

11/7/24: The start of a new week, possibly the last. Hindsight being 20/20, I probably started the flush a week early. Hopefully I don't suffer too much in the long term for it, but I've definitely learned a lot from this first grow. 11/8/24: Went ahead a tried to rotate the plants a bit but probably ended up doing more harm than good. Two things to remember next grow: use supports and quit fiddlin' with stuff. 11/9/24:Ladies feel pretty light so I'll probably be watering them tomorrow. 11/10/24: Went ahead and watered the gals today. Lucy is still struggling to stand, I'll definitely be using supports next time. Hopefully I don't mess anything up this before I get to chop. 11/11/24: Still pretty droopy but doing better today. 11/12/24: Gals are standing up a little better today. We're getting so close to harvest, time flew. 11/13/24: Well the ladies are almost there, another week down. It'll be harder to tell the perfect time though because I managed to drop and break my jeweler's loupe while checking today. I'll be turning to my growmies on this site for guidance on when to chop. Eternally grateful for all the help from you guys.

11/14/24: Went ahead and watered the ladies again today. I only used plain RO water and adjusted the pH. Went ahead and skipped the Flawless Finish this week as I've been using it for 2 weeks now and we're just days away from harvest. Picking up a magnifier today to replace the jeweler's loupe I broke. 11/15/24: My impatience is beginning to hurt I'm so excited to chop these. Each day is a painful reminder to use supports in my next run. 11/16/24: Getting more and more excited, ordering a handheld microscope today to help check the trichomes. 11/17/24: Another day down, another day closer. I'm thinking Thursday might be they day to chop, we'll see though. 11/18/24: Watered the gals again today. Hoping Thursday will be the day but only time will tell. I'm trying not to push it too far but also not trying to chop too early. Next run I'll definitely will be waiting a few more weeks before flushing. 11/19/24: Another week almost in the books. I'm thinking Thursday will be the harvest day which would be perfect considering my work schedule this month. I definitely don't want to rush too much though, I'm terrified of ruining everything this close to the end, especially after my flush fail. I'll look toward the infinite wisdom of my fellow growmies to guide me once again. 11/20/24: Well another week down, probably the final week of flower. Based on the advice I've received so far(unless I hear otherwise) I think I'll be chopping the ladies down tomorrow morning. It's hard to believe we're here already, time sure does fly.

Do you think these gals will be ready for harvest in 2 days or will this be a huge mistake? 2 days from now will be my only day off for the rest of the month other than Thanksgiving day. Am I good to harvest or should I wait and have it possibly interfere with work/the holiday?

High KingMickey, They are ALMOST ready! If you want to harvest the weed at most potent you need to wait another week. But you can also harvest in 2 days. The difference when you harvest a bit early is that it gives a little more head high instead of body high. But there will not be a huge difference in just 1 week buddy. Happy Harvest! 💚

11/21/24: Man oh man, the time has come. Went ahead and chopped down the ladies today. It's funny, while I was so excited to get to this point, now that it's here I almost feel sad lol. That being said, this has been an absolutely amazing and fun experience for me. I'm excited for the last few steps of the journey and definitely excited for the next run. I'll be updating with progress/pictures as they come. 11/28/27 Felt pretty crispy a couple days ago, but took the advice online to wait for the snap. Definitely way over dried and put too much faith in the ol' snap test. Lesson learned though. Finished trimming and jarring everything up, now to let them sit in the jars for a while and hope I cure better than I dry. I'll update with news and smoke tests in the near future.
