Sweet seeds summer Fast Version Garden

Third week, August the 7th Just changed for a bigger 7l pot, that'll be the definitive. Just trying not to let plants to stretch too much. There's also an Auto Red Devil on the rounded pot that is going to finish outdoors.

08/16/2024: LAST DAY OF VEGETATION Took off the lower leaves and branches in order to be able to install an irrigation system and keep it clean. Pulled out the humidifier, the Red Devil auto, and distributed the plants over the surface, i'll hang a net over next week trying to create a nice canopy!!

08/17/2024 Second day of blooming Once the plants got it's final space to bloom and the dripping system is installed it's time to introduce you each member of the team. Despite the fact that there are not enough plants to talk about genetics what I can see is that there's a certain regularity of phenos, just a little difference in height. This happens in two specimens of each strain. I always keep those ones just because sometimes there are great differences in terms of flavour and psychoactivity. From now on it's a matter of height!😉

08/22 Plants are stretching as expected. Getting a higher EC each watering, I guess it'll end about 1'8 - 2- Everything at it's right place😊

09/08: DAY 22 Well, as seen in pics it stretched a lot those two last weeks, never expected as much as I had to bend some branches that were getting too close to the lamp. Last days it seems to had stopped🤞🏼. Remind me to train plants or not to let grow them so much next time before switching 12/12. Added CO2 booster for the first time, let's see what happens.

DAY 30 IN BLOOM Got to bend some more tips but plants stopped growing. Keeping up EC to 1,8, will get to 1,9-2 next week as the plants aren't showing overfeeds neither nutrient deficiencies.

BLOOMING DAY 35 Maybe the last feeding before start flushing them to harvest. Calyxes are growing a lot these days, but there are two plants that showed a bit of N overfeed and these got fluffier buds. Keeping an eye next days on humidity, trichomes and dropping down soil EC at the right moment. UPDATE DAY 39 Last feeding hit the top at EC 2.05 and pH 6,5, then I'll just flush with RO water (0,02-3) till the end, I've never flavoured as I try to keep and boost the original taste. Found two close phenos in Papaya Zoap F1, one smells like pungent and citrusy, and the other smells some kind of Haze, like sandal or incense. Strawberry Cola Sherbet seems to be more uniform, fruity smelling and, yes, a bit too of some cola drink.

BLOOMING DAY 43 Second flush watering, I'll reduce the amount and frequency of waterings next days, so I expect to clean the soil and let the plants consume themselves before cutting. UPDATE DAY 47 Close to harvest, trichomes start to come milky. Maybe strawberry cola sherbet is some days faster than Papaya, but I'll chop both them down closer to eight than seven weeks. DAY 52 SHIT HAPPENS😫 This is the second time it happens to me with Sweet seeds: THERE ARE SOME MALE FLOWERS, SO SEEDS. As soon as I was doing a first trim for hanging them to dry I realised there is some hermaphroditism on both strains. Few male flowers on the axis of the branches and few other on lower buds, not seen on tops. Shame on me that I didn't realize before but I couldn't been aware as they were hidden in between the canopy and I was a bit busy last days. Time to reconsider what, or why went wrong, experiencies or ideas are welcome. There are hermies on both strains, that makes me think what could be due to the growing conditions, but just don't know as I said it's the second time it happened with this seedbank. Those are fully matured seeds, that male flowers had been there for a while. So I hardly cleaned the growroom and started another grow, hope pollen won't breed next ones... Added some photos, whenever it dries and cure for a short time I'll post some more and make a smoke test if it's not hardly bred, then will make some hash and feed the birds with the rests. NOT SO SWEET😥

SMOKE TEST: It's three months curing in jars and I've found two different phenos from four plants, fist one on three plants were very similar, pretty tight buds smelling like fruity, some kind of berries. Then the other, that would have been my keeper, has not so big buds but it has a really clear citrusy smell and flavour, just found on a few plants grown over the years. Asking myself if clones would have ended showing male flowers again or not...

SMOKE TEST: It's been three months curing in jars and I've found in this four plants very similar smell and flavour. Would say, as it cured, it took between a berry and some herbal smelling, kind of lavender, but when you smoke it there's a sweet earthy flavour on it.
