This time i was choosing 11 seeds to get around 9 seeds ready to grow. Since i have very good experience with Royal Queen Seeds i am happy to choose from their wide variety of seeds.
For this grow i have choosen:
3x Royal Gorilla Seeds
3x Wedding Cake
5x Royal Cookies
The logic behind choosing those strains was a equality in grow time and interests in the tase of those strains.
1 Gorilla seed and 1 Cookie seed are probably not going to make it, since they don't want to germinate 😓
11-2 = 9 left , which is the perfect amount i was wishing to germinate. I would have rather gotten all 3 gorilla seeds germinated, but it's also fine this way.
Pots + Soil + Water:

They are currently sitting in 0,X liter plastic pots , which got filled with "Floragard Organic Herb Soil Aromatic" . Before the soil got used i was baking it (mixed with water before that) in the oven for 30 minutes at 120 degrees, circulating air.
After the soil was dried down i watered it with osmose water + Bio Bizz Root Juice (4ml/l), before the seeds were inserted into the soil.

The fifth Royal Cookie seed made it also. Thats 5/5 Cookie seeds germination, 100% ! 👌

Plants doing quite good. First leaves are already up.
The only issue is, that they were stretching way too much under my 15w sansi full spectrum LED light, even though the PPFD values are quite good (around 250). I should probably take the 36w sansi full spectrum LED next time again 😚

Pots got transplanted into 3 Liter Gronest transplanter pots. They got watered each with 0,5 Liter osmose water + calmag + root juice and were wandering into the grow box.

Electricity was gone for nearly 1,5 days so the plants are probably confused what is happening. Plants got watered 1 Liter each with calmag, Bio grow, root juice and osmose water.
While starting with LST i accidently ripped of the head of one plant. Lets see If she can recover.

Update 25.09.2024:
Plants got a little bit dry, so i watered them with 3,x Liter Osmose water each. (+Calmag + Biogrow).
They also got new haircuts . I defoliated the leaves, which are hindering the blooms underneath the leaves to absorb light, but not too many (like 4-6 leaves per plant)
I also started to heavily LST them. Normally i do this earlier, but this time i gave them a bit time to grow normally (just to see the different outcome)
The plants also get topped ! (cutting the "head" off to produce 2 more "heads")
Update 27.09.2024:
All plants are looking great since they got watered two days ago and got their new hair cut.
I am (from this week on) doing daily LST work on the plants (bending branches)
😌I bought myself nice plant rollers made out of metal, so that i can move the plants easier around in my tent 😌

First day of (already) the 6th vegegation week If one does Not consider the germination week.
Today is watering day ! Plants are really starting getting thirsty now due to their size. All plants are really beautifully LST'ed and superflous leaves are constantly getting removed day by day (just a few every time so that they plants got time for recovery and not unnecessaryly stressed.
The future plan is to give them this week for ultimatively recovery so that they can be send to Bloom 12/12 at the weekend. Before this will happen they will get some kind of lollipopped for like 30-40% of the bottom leaves where no light will ever reach.
Edit : Plants got watered, LST'ed and defoliated. 3 Liter basic osmose mix for each plant.

As expected the plants are consuming a lot less water right now after the defoliation/lollipop shock, but looking still great.
Today will be the first day of switching to a 12/12 light cycle. I have choosen to wake them up at 6 pm and let them rest at 6 am. The light cycle is set to night, because its getting colder in autumm and this way the low night temperature will be somehow "compensated" through the heat of the lights at night.

The plants are exploding now since the switch to 12/12 bloom. They are growing like hell (blooms and leaves) and they are are thirsty as well.
The dehumidifier has a lot of work to keep the tent on something like 60% humidity.

They are growing really beautifully. Superb blossom development and the LST really paid off, although i have to say that there are differences within the different plants but also in the strains itself.

Water requirement differences

I was watering the plants.
Interesting this time is, that for the first time not all plants were drinking their 4 L water over the past 4 days , which was normally the case.
Especially the 2 Gorilla plants were already "nearly" dry , but all the other plants could have waited 1 day more for their new watering.
I will keep an eye on these obv. differences in water requirement/thirst.
My solution for now is to water the 2 Gorillas with 4 Liter osmose water + fertilizer and all the other plants with only 3 Liter osmose water + fertilizer.
My guess would be that all plants will need new water again after their regular 4 days, but lets see 😊

My assumption from the previous posts seems to not have worked. Since i watered all plants but the Gorillas with 3 Liter of 4 Liter instead and kept the same cycle time (4 days - 4 days -4 days) at least 2 of the plants who oly got 3 Liter of water had a few hanging down leaves, so it was not tnough water. I will stick to the ALL PLANTS 4 LITER EVERY 4 DAY CYCLE until they stop drinking that much in late- late - late flower.
New is the increase in BioBizz Topmax since the 6th week of bloom ( 1ml/L - 3mL/L). The schedule says 4 ml/L but i am always going a bit lower.

I added zoomed in pictures of the trichomes of every plant:

The condition of the trichomes is very similar in the strains themselves.
However, the strains differ from each other in terms of the maturity of the trichomes and time they are getting cut off.
The plan would be to cut them all off by the time :
10 % trichomes clear &
80% trichomes milky &
10 % trichomes amber colored

Bloom week 8 by finished and I was checking the trichome colors of all my 10 plants ( 2x Gorilla, 5x Cookies,3x Wedding).
I uploaded pictures in my diary and i would be really happy if you could give me your suggestions for when water only and when to harvest THX👌
Make sure when checking tricombs to only check ones growing directly from the buds. The ones growing from the sugar leaves or anything else turn way early. I like to aim for the majority of my tricombs to be milky white where you can not see thru them. Everyone online days look fir a good amount if amber/gold/peach trics I think u only want like 10% or so
I’d say your harvest window is open and it’s really up to you if you want to harvest now or give it more time to ripen a bit further.
Chopping when most tricromes are milky/cloudy is at max potency. Letting more amber tricromes means potency is slightly declining but flavour profile increases.
I typically like to go longer personally and let it get a bit more developed flavour.
I think you could harvest anytime from now or the next two-three weeks depending on how much ripening you want to do.
Flushing is beginning to be a bit of a touchy topic as it is now perceived to be a myth that plants need a flush. But if you absolutely want to flush, I’d start now and look to harvest in the next 5-10 days.

I had to chop them after 9 weeks since the trichomes we're already around 20% amber colored so i was totally in the middle of the 8-10 weeks wich RQS (the breeder) suggested.
Next update after curing and vape test.

Question : what do you use to make such clear pictures from your trichomes ? i orders a wireless microscope and hope to be able to make such kind of pictures in the future ! I asked a other user and i ordered the same as he has but now i discoverd that it comes without a stand so i hope that it will work with a steady hand 😅
