DAY31 :
After 10 days in the 1 liter pots, I repotted the plants to the Autopot XL 25 liter pots
I made 2 identical organic soilmixes for 8 plants :
This is the composition of such a soilmix :
25 liter recycled soil (50% soil + 50% perlite) from a previous grow
10 liter perlite
10 liter light fertilized soil
250 grams Bioplantenvoeding.nl Biovin (dry compost)
30 grams Gen 1:11 Outdoor Bloom (fertilizer)
10 grams Gen 1:11 Outdoor Grow (fertilizer)
25 grams Bioplantenvoeding.nl Flower Safer (mycorrhiza)
In each Auto XL pot I added 4 tablets of BioTabs (original, because the alternative cheaper brand from Bioplantenvoeding.nl was not available)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DAY35 I topped the central top all plants, I kept 7 branches (shoots) per plant
DAY40 I topped one or two of the biggest side branches. This way plants become even more bushier.
This week I watered the plants 2 times. Each time I gave 1 liter water/plant with standard dose Plagron Roots.
Together with the first watering I also gave a viscous organic fertilizer (NK 5-3) (DCM Vloeibare Plantenvoeding Groenten & Kruiden) with bacteria and plant amino acids/peptides from DCM (De Ceuster Meststoffen).
This week I have been very busy 😎
DAY 49 :
I moved the plants so they have more space now. In addition to my 250 watt grow light, I now also have my two 600 watt bloom lights attached next to it. I set these to 50% output, in this case 300 watts. Towards the end of the week I set them to 75%.
I connected the Autopots to the water tank, so that the plants now receive water automatically. In addition to this, I give the plants 0.5 liters of water with Power Roots manually almost daily.
I also connected the AirDomes in the Autopots to the air pump.
DAY 50 :
Pruning of the lower part of the plants (no topping).
Bending (LST) of the branches to obtain a flat canopy and attaching the branches to the wooden sticks.
DAY 51 :
Finally I received my new humidifier from Dutch Masters. I connected the humidifier to the water tank. Works great !
Flowering time has started !!! 😍 12/12 💤 First signs of flowering 👍😄
The plants have grown rapidly 🙀 Lots of new greens 👽 And also consume a lot of water 😭
No pruning this week, but daily bending (LST) of the branches to get a flat canopy. 🙌
The pictures were taken on the 6th day of flowering (12/12). At that time the plants were 63 days old. 😚
This means that the plants were 57 days old when I put them in flowering; which is 8 weeks after I took the cuttings from the mother plants. The cloning process took 3 weeks, followed by the vegetative phase of 5 weeks. 👽
Second week of the flowering period 😻😻😻
This week on DAY 8 of the flowering period I started replacing the wooden sticks with bigger plastic plantsticks. 👌
The plants grew like crazy the rest of the week 😵😵😵 And they drank a lot of water 😱😱😱
I did a bit of pruning this week; I removed some lower and smaller branches. 👉👉
My ceiling slopes from left to right, so on DAY14 I moved the largest plants (Triple G) on the left side. 👍
On DAY14 I also reattached the branches to the plant sticks 👌 and again bending (LST) of the branches to get a flat canopy. 🙌
👆 Largest plants = Triple G = 90cm
👇 Smallest plants = Wedding Gelato = 70cm
Third week flowering 💪
On DAY 19 I notices some spider mites on one of the Triple G plants 😲😲😲 On closer inspection (with a magnifying glass), it turned out that the wedding gelatos were also affected 👽👽👽
Immediate action was required 😈😈😈
Because the plants had so many leaves, it would be almost impossible to treat them all. That's why I opted for an extreme defoliation. A friend of mine does this as a standard procedure in the third week (and with great success), so this was the moment to apply this technique myself (although I have never before dared to do it). Usually I remove the largest fan leaves, but I leave the medium sized leaves. I also often remove the lower and smaller branches, in order to get thick buds that way. But this time I really removed a lot of leaves, including the medium sized leaves. In this way I also removed the leaves affected by the spider mites and could treat the remaining leaves much better with an insecticide. I will probably repeat the treatment next week, so that the plants can continue to flower without being hindered by the spider mites.
I added some extra plant stakes to support the branches 👌, bent (LST) the branches to get a flat canopy🙌, and reattached the branches to the stakes 👌
The Triple G's continue to grow tremendously with large internodes 😲 The Wedding Gelatoes are the slowest growers 💤
Because my ceiling slopes from left to right, I swapped the Cookies Gelatoes and the Liberty Hazes position on DAY21 👈👉
👆 Largest plants = Triple G = 115cm
👇 Smallest plants = Wedding Gelato = 80cm
Third week flowering 💪
More buds, also on the lower part of the plants, thanks to the intense defoliation of last week 😍.
This week I treated the plants a second time against the spider mites invasion of last week. Everything is under control now 😉
I replaced my humidifier with my dehumidifier 😊
👆 Largest plants = Triple G = 125cm
👇 Smallest plants = Wedding Gelato = 85cm
DAY49
7 Weeks
Buds are hard. Smell is extreme.
Very limited amount of spidermites under some leaves. No reason to exterminate them, because next week I'll probably harvest the plants.
The smell of the Triple G is fanastic, Big separated buds. The Cookies Gelato are more sativa style of buds than I'm use of them. There leaves are turning purple.
The Liberty Haze has a lot of small leaves in the buds, and thet got amasing blinking white flowers. Probably this will be the plants I'll harvest the last, because they need some extra flowering time.
The Wedding Gelato is creamy, lots of trichomes and is fast flowering. But some flowers got budrot. I'ts hard to get the humidity low because of the rainy and misty autumn outside.
DAY56
8 Weeks
Rock hard buds 😲. Overwhelming scent 😍 Developing fantastic purple, red and brown colors
👉 The smell of the Triple G is fantastic; an explicit pungent smell, diesel, chocolate, black berries, some sweetness. Plants have long internodes with big isolated buds, spreaded all over these huge plants. 😵
👉 The Cookies Gelato has also a terrific smell and bag appeal. The piled buds, seem to lengthen everyday The plants has gone through a complete purple transition 👻
👉 The Liberty Haze is not a real sativa, bus has a lot of small and narrow leaves in between the buds. She has white flowers, and her smell is so sweet, with notes of citrus and lime. She's very hungry and needs lots of nutrition. The biotabs tablets are worn out, which causes her leaves to become yellow, sucking the rest of the nitrogen out of the tablets, resulting in a smooth smoke 😍
👉 The Wedding Gelato is creamy; has lots of trichomes and is almost ready to harvest. I had some budrot in this strain, but since I put my ventilator also during the night time, everything seems under control 😗 Lots of fatty trichomes all over the buds and leaves, turning this plant in a stoney m*****f***** 😜
DAY63 WEEK9 = Impatiently waiting till harvest time 😘 Beautiful to enjoy the plants ripening and finishing 😍😍😍
Congrats to BIOTABS, because their tablest are really superb 🙏 I'm super satisfied 😁😁😁
Wedding Gelato, Triple G, and Cookies Gelato are completely ripe.👍😃 All their buds are rockhard 💪😖
👉 Cookies Gelato have become completely purple with beautiful piled buds and orange pistils, and looks delicious. Smells of berries and 😵
👉 Wedding Gelato has round buds (easy to trim) with mixed colors : gold, brass, brown, yellow, red and green colors with orange pistils 😊 Fine and accessible smell, pleasant and no overbearing 😄 🙏
👉 Triple G will be the hardest to trim, because of her quirky shaped buds. She has big internodes and big buds scattered across her tall sturdy stalks. Beautiful buds, a pleasure for the eyes. Her smell is pungent, sometimes narcotic even. She will get you stoned in no time 😋
👉 Liberty Haze could have another week. But she lacks some nitrogen; watch her leaves turn yellow, and make her taste sooo soft 👻 She hasn't any purple or red colors, only green and yellow. Her buds are leafy, not that firm, but volumineus. She's soo sweet, with hints of lime. 😘
I defoliated the plants in week 3 because I had to treat the plants against spider mites. Because of this, the plants had fewer leaves, the light could penetrate much deeper and now the lower buds are ripen as well 🙏. I will continue to apply this technique in the future. 👍👍👍
These will be the last pictures before harvesting 😍
Harvest time. 👍😁 The last photos of the plants 😘
On DAY63 of bloom I harvested the plants. I took a beautiful branch with buds outside to take some pictures with natural sunlight. 😍
After 63 days of bloom and in 120 days in total, since the day I took the cuttings, finally the plans were harvested, dried and cured to fill up my jabs of high grade medical marihuana.
Finally harvest time, after 63 days of bloom and in total 120 days since the beginning of the life of these plants. 😏
After 4 months of patience and an extra month of drying and curing, the harvest feast can start! I'm a happy man 💪😋
