Week Eleven - Last Wednesday I flushed the container by slowly pouring two gallons of Distilled water, discarding the run-off. I haven't watered her since then and she feels like 90% of the water have evaporated/dissipated. After having done that, it seems the main stalk became flexible because the main Cola began falling over due to the weight. I had to tie her upright by using some dried stems and bread wire ties connected to the sides of the tent corners. The Trichomes have begun turning amber and are around 30% today. I took the photos today and plan on Harvesting her around Wednesday of this week. I appreciate all the input offered last week, thank you to everyone! I do have one question if anyone would care to answer. You can see the plant, I plan on just cutting her at ground level and hanging her to begin the curing process. Given the number of leaves and where they are located, is it advisable to leave them on the drying plant or to trim them now while she is hanging? I get differing opinions on that issue. Some say to trim everything while others say to allow the leaves to wrap around the buds. Which is suppose to slow down the evaporation within the buds. I have tried both ways but, I still don't know what is the proper way. Well, that is it for this week! I should be posting a Harvest next week, although the final photos might take a few weeks to get posted since there are more steps that happen in just one week.

Has anyone ever heard of a strain that gets stuck on Cloudy Trichs? I'm just a few days past the proposed harvest date yet, 1 & 1/2 weeks ago I noticed 10% Trichs turned amber but, all the rest seem stuck on cloudy. 95% of the pistols have turned red, fan leaves are dying/dead

hey R_Owl , yeah I even had one that stayed stuck on cloudy trichs lol, really frustrating, but I'll tell you something, it's actually a good thing. Cloudy means the triches are filled with THC so 100% cloudy means that it's 100% max THC potency. amber trichs means they oxidised and produce CBN or CBD even which is not necessarily a bad thing, depends on taste. So when mine was all cloudy i left it a few more weeks then took it down, and after the cure it ended up being one of the stronger strains i harvested. Different strains rippen differently, maybe you just got one of the stronger phenos, so don't worry look at it like it's a good thing.

@The_Projexx, Thanks! I started out with two (fem seeds) but, one was a male! I think I pulled him before any pods popped but, can't be certain. Once I saw the pods, I pulled it and set it to the side for another day. Once I got back to him, I did notice one pod had spilled its pollen. Not sure if it happened in the tent or after I pulled him. This is called Hindu Glue, which appears to be rare as I could only find one breeder who offered it. They were Gifted to me. It's no longer available so a few seeds might be welcomed, depending on the outcome & potency. I'm uncertain if the Auto genes will transfer to any seeds but, they were siblings so who knows?

ā€œI trimmed off all the large fan leaves so the light would read [reach] every bud, leaving none under shade.ā€ & ā€œThe directions on the packaging said 9-10 weeks ...ā€ Switching to Daylight savings time makes me irritable, and Iā€™ve had quite a bit to drink, so please donā€™t take great offense at my candor. Itā€™s more me than you, most likely. Defoliating during flower is a no no because it adds stress. Further, and more to the point, it doesnā€™t deliver the result everyone believes it does. Buds donā€™t need light. Say that aloud so it sinks in. BUDS DONT NEED LIGHT. They do need air and room to grow. This is the very reason plants naturally stretch when they go into flower. A dense under canopy is to be avoided because it can harbor humidity and encourage mold. That is why we defoliate when growing indoors under artificial light. Outdoors the sun is strong enough to nourish every leaf - no need to defoliate outdoors. Hereā€™s a novel method Iā€™ve played with: After growing a healthy bush, induce stretch by moving your light higher 1-2 weeks prior to flower, then flip (I prefer transition) to 12/12. (Induce autos also by moving light) Defoliate only the layered leaves touching each other, and dead leaves. Instructions on packaging? HA!!

". I was told by someone that if two Autoflowers were bred, their offspring would be regular photoperiod plants & not carry the Autoflower gene over to the resultant seeds." .... well "someone" doesnt know the first thing about plants let alone genetics lol

@CRiSPrGrow, so if seeds are produced, I should grow them as I would an autoflower? That info came from someone on a Facebook Autogrower page.
