I Germinated 4-4 seeds the seedlings were then transplanted into 2x2 rock wool cubes for a day, then transplanted into 4x4 cubes and put into the grow environment. The seedlings are doing great with the third set of leaves developing. On day 5, I have them.5ml/l of base nutrients, this is 1/2 the recommended value). The nodes are super tight with each new set of leaves developing right on top oh the previous set. Day 7, added an additional.5ml/l to all seedlings, as roots are well developed and coming out the sides and bottoms of the cubes.

Week 2 and fuck-ups abound. Everything I hadn't considered became apparent this week. This was the first nute change, and the process of actually removing water and filling with new water and nutes was painful on the body. Another problem was the pots were too much submerged under the water, prior to the growth of roots into the solution. This stunted the growth rate of the plants. Once I recognized the problem, I drained 1 gallon of water from each plant and left the baskets hanging above the solution for a few days. New strong roots are now showing from each plant. I will give them 2 days more sitting at 3 gallons then increase the solution to 4 gallons. Overall, all 4 plants have survived "fine tuning" week and seem to have enjoyed the stress. I'm proud of the end of second week results. The plants are super squatty with tight internodes. Day 17, two of the plants are looking over-watered badly. My 4 bucket air pump has suddenly become only a 2 bucket pump. A quick run to Walmart solved the problem. However; I am not sure how long the two plants were without oxygen bubbles. I've had the light 12" from the plants, but I'm going to raise it to 20", as I need these babies to stretch out a bit.

This is my first DWC and SCROG grow. As the side nodes develop, am I going to FIM those nodes as well, after the top?

Not the best idea I've heard. When you will fim the secondaries you will end up with too much lateral branches and you will have to practice LST and defoliation to not let that new branches and new leaves block the light. Keep it simply by doing one FIM and continue by bending the stems 😊

Week 3 is complete and the plants have doubled in size. Nutrients are steady at 320 ppm. Comparing other grow diaries that I've read here, I believe that I am on the right track. I've caused some leaf burning due to the light being top close to the plants. This wasn't heat burns, rather light burning. I've not used LED before and i just assumed they are used like fluorescent lights, put them as close as you can get them. A simple newbie mistake. The plants have recovered well and despite my challenges and my learning curve. Two of the plants are experiencing rapid and explosive growth, while the other two have gotten of to a slower start. All 4 plants have woody stalks, which I've always believed is a must have for a bumper crop. Week 4 is a few days away and Im very excited to share the growth over the past few days.

Week four is complete. The last week was a strong veg week and all of the plants responded well. Nutrients and pH levels remain the same from the previous week, except that I have added Floralicious Plus to the nutrients. This is a product I have used in the past and it really makes for strong smelling and powerful weed. The two heartiest plants seem to be showing a more indica-dominate traits; while the other two appear to be more sativa-dominate traits. It's also worth pointing out that the sativa- dominate females are far more sensative to light burning than their indica-dominate counterparts using this 1k Watt KING LED. The grow room has been adjusted to accommodate the netting and extra mylar has been added to the walls. I've also put a bag of EXHALE into the grow room; hanging slightly above the plants. I've increased airflow into the room and installed a 6" inline fan and a filter hanging as high as I can get it. The ducting runs out of the room and then back into the room as recirculated air. I have a thermostat controlled heater in the room. I'm hoping the recirculation of the warm air will take most of the load off the heater. All four plants are strong and healthy and I’m very excited at the results I've achieved at week 4.

Week 5 ended on a sour note. My 1KW King+ LED died. I've ordered another light, which could take a week to get here. As an emergency measure, I've put a 250w MH light into the room. It's took low light and the wrong spectrum, but it's all I have until the new light arrive. * 02/03 My new 1KW King+ light arrived anf has been put into service. Yay!!!

Week 6 Dutch Passion OG Glueberry Auto. DWC, 2KW King+ LED, Advanced Nutrients, Seedsman, GH Last weeks lackluster performance Was made up for this week, with stellar performance. I replaced the broken 1500KW LED with 2-1000kw King+ Multi spectrum LED lamps. The weather this week has been hot and humid. Which, has created challenges that I had not yet thought through. The first challenge was fighting the heat and humidity. More specifically, keeping the nutrient solution below 70°. The first solution was to add 1 quart bottles of frozen ice inside each of the buckets. Make two sets, one in the bucket and one out, inside the freezer. The second solution was to vent the hot air out of the tent, vice the air recirculation system I’ve currently been using. I’ve been using the recirculating system, taking advantage of the EXHALE CO2 bag installed in the room; creating a carbon dioxide rich environment inside the tent. The second challenge for me this week is the SCROG. This is a new experiences for me as I have never used a SCROG. So, with a bit of research, I put my best foot forward and have a go at it. I would not say that I have mastered the scrog. I realize some of the mistakes that I’ve made early on. But it’s difficult with multiple plants growing at different rates. I have it sitting fairly well now. There is still A lot of undergrowth underneath the net. Having just completed week six, do I give it another week to catch up to the top of the canopy with the others, or do I whack out everything that’s not reached canopy height? Pruning at this state is beyond me. Should I be Pruning fan leaves? Any ideas or suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.

When should I begin the flushing process for my OG Glueberry Auto? Normally it would be starting 2 weeks prior to harvest. Is that still applicable to Auto strain? Do they need two weeks of flushing, or will one week suffice?

The process is the same for auto and photo, when you are flushing it is to get rid of the excess nutrients of the soil ( to wash them away) and also to make the plant use the last nutrient she has stocked in her system. So the process will require the same amount of time in both cases. Flush your Glueberry auto like you would flush a Glueberry photoperiodic 😊👍

Week seven went by without much incident. I did remove that from the tent, as crawling under the net twice a day was to much for my neck. In now using the Advanced Nutrients Lucas Formula during nute changes. There is no doubt these plants will go the full 11 weeks+

I hate to admit it, but I killed a plant this week. I was moving one of the pot lids, which caught in the SCROG net, twisting the stalk and causing the main stalk to snap at the base. She was the smallest and weakest of the. 4 plants...no biggie. The three remaining plants are in full bus production mode. One is very indica dominate, one is very sativa-dominate, and I think the third will also be sativa. The indica dominate plant is trying to finish quickly. Whereas the other two will need to go the full 11 weeks. This is the last week of nutrient feeding. Two weeks of flush behind next week. Enjoy the pics. More coming soon.

There has been a huge bud explosion this week. I was concerned last week that the budding process had slowed significantly. I added 2ml/l Advanced Nutrients Carbo load at the nutrient change and the fireworks began. The buds are big and fat and frosty! The plants are on their last week of nutrient feeding, followed by week of flushing.. I'll be using Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish to flush.

Week 10 has finally come and gone. This was the last week of nutes for my plants. Now they are going into the flush cycle. One highpoint of the week was the arrival of my new BESTVA Reflector Series 2000w LED lamp. The previous two 1000w lights had to much blue spectrum in then to make the buds rock hard. The new lamp has Veg and Bloom switches. It is also the top pick for LED lamps at cannabis.info My plants are going great! There are 2 very different phenotypes in this group of three. One is almost a pure sativa, while the other two are almost pure indica. The sativa is finishing very quickly and may need to be harvested within the next couple of days. The buds are so big and heavy that the branches can no longer support the weight. The branches are are falling backwards, away from the light. I've been zip tying then together to keep them upright!! The cycle are almost all cloudy. I'm just waiting for them to turn amber. At the first sight of amber crystals I will be taking her down. The other two, the Indica phenotypes, look like they may need to go to 12 weeks. There is still substantial budding occurring. These nugs are big and fat, but They are very bushy plants with alot of leaves in the buds. The crystals are still clear on these two plants. That is why I believe they will go beyond 11 weeks. These plants reek, I mean they REALLY REALLY reek. If you are considering this strain, make sure you have really good odor control. I'm flushing with Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish.

It is difficult to objectify this grow. If the three plants I grew, one was pure indica, one was pure sativa, and one sativa dominate. They each reacted differently to nutes, temperature, and even light levels. The indica plant had a much higher resistance to any sort of burning. Whereas, the other two were very sensative to all changes. Mistakes were made on my part. Everything from equipment failures, overdosing, and changing lights 3 different times during the grow. The indica was very forgiving and was by far the healthiest of the grow. It was also the smallest yielder. Here are the lessons I learned the hard way: Don't crank down those high powered led lights onto seedlings. Start outside the max distance and move them down a little more each day, until you hit your lights max distance from the tops. For DWC growers, don't twist the bucket lids. I know it's easier than lifting and turning the bucket. However the air stone tubing will wrap around your roots and twist them, (this is not good.) Go easy on the nutes. Dial your dosages to about half strength or less. You only get four weeks of veg, don't burn them. Have replacement everything on hand. Shit is going to spill and equipment is going to malfunction. Avoid the "oh shit" by having two of everything. Just in case, Be prepared for anything. If you can't crawl under the net and be comfortable under there; don't SCROG! Lastly, if you're unsure about something, look it up. Don't assume anything. I'm growing two more of this strain again next, let's see if I can take the lessons learned and get a larger harvest.
