8.09: It’s been a week since planting, and all of my seedlings have sprouted and are growing actively—one in particular stands out as especially strong. Today, I noticed moss starting to form in the soil, likely due to high humidity during the seedling stage. I removed the moss and aerated the soil, ensuring better airflow. Moving forward, I’ll aim to maintain humidity at around 60-65%, as last week it spiked up to 80%

15.09: Another week has passed, and the growth rate continues to amaze me. However, one of the plants is showing signs of distress. Its leaves are drooping downward, and the new ones are small, uneven, and many are curling into tubes. I have no idea what the issue is, especially since all three plants are growing under identical conditions. Maybe it’s because the fan blows more directly on the other two plants? I’ve decided to take a chance and gave the struggling plant a small dose of nutrients, hoping it will help. Hopefully, this will solve the problem and get it back on track. I’m thinking that by next week, I’ll start feeding all three plants with fertilizers.

22.09: This week, I’ve been amazed by the unusually fast growth of two of my plants—they’ve gained a substantial amount of green mass in no time. Watching them thrive so quickly is truly rewarding. I’ve also started adding fertilizers, as it’s been three weeks now, and the substrate manufacturer advised that the nutrients in the soil would last for the first three weeks. However, my third plant is still struggling, and I’m beginning to doubt whether it will recover. Its leaves are growing in a very odd way, which leads me to suspect that the issue might be genetic—perhaps it’s a mutant. Nature sometimes throws unexpected challenges our way, and this seems to be one of those moments where we can only observe and learn. On a brighter note, it looks like one of the plants is entering the flowering phase, as I’ve noticed what appear to be young pistils forming on one of the buds. It’s an exciting development, and I can’t wait to see how it progresses!

29.09: As another week passes, the excitement in my grow room continues to build. The plants have now begun to form flowers, a milestone that brings me immense joy. The unmistakable and beloved scent of cannabis has filled the grow box, a clear sign that things are progressing as expected. This week, however, posed some environmental challenges. The outdoor humidity exceeded 70%, which prompted me to consider the risk of mold formation. To mitigate this, I adjusted the fan speed from one-third to full power and redirected the airflow towards the walls of the grow box, rather than directly onto the plants. This, I believe, has created sufficient circulation throughout the space, ensuring that any moisture buildup is minimized without causing undue stress to the plants. Unfortunately, my third plant remains in limbo, still refusing to reveal its gender. The plant has struggled with illness since its early days, which may explain the delay. I remain hopeful that by next week, I'll finally be able to determine its sex. I also noticed a peculiar development: small yellow (or light green) patches appearing on the tips of the new leaves. Upon reviewing older photos, I realized that similar yellow tips had appeared before I even began administering nutrients. At present, I’m using Advanced Nutrients in very small, recommended doses—often even below the suggested amount. While this isn’t a cause for immediate concern, it’s something I’ll be keeping a close eye on. So far, I’ve only applied nutrients for the vegetative stage, but next week I plan to introduce flowering nutrients, starting with half of the manufacturer’s recommended dosage. See you next week with more updates on this exciting journey!

My plant is currently around its second week of flowering (autoflower). I've noticed that the tips of the pistils are showing a slight purple coloration. Is this normal? If not, what steps can I take to address it?

Dont worry man, its just your plant expressing some colors on the leaf tips. I was looking at the diary the leaves look kind of wavy. i would be more concerned about that. Try to ease up on your wanting a bit. i saw them clawing downward too. overwatering is one of the easiest things to do even for experience growers at times. Overwatering happens when not giving to much at one time but too may time without enough dry time in between

6.10: This week has been relatively uneventful, with no major developments to note. My primary focus has been on controlling the high humidity levels in the apartment, which range between 55% and 70%. Unfortunately, without a dehumidifier, my efforts haven't been particularly successful. The battle continues. On a more positive note, the plants are thriving in terms of growth. Their buds are swelling, and overall, they are showing impressive vigor. One plant, in particular, has been a standout, growing from 26 cm to 44 cm in just one week. Quite an impressive leap! However, not everything has been perfect. This week, I encountered some challenges with watering. I miscalculated both the timing and the amount of fertilizer to apply. As a result, a few of the leaves developed rusty spots, likely from nutrient imbalances. Thankfully, I’ve adjusted my approach and am now watering generously, but with careful moderation. I’ll keep a close eye on them moving forward, ensuring they get what they need without excess. Despite the hiccups, I’m optimistic about their progress and excited to see how they continue to develop.

13.10: This week marked several significant events in my cannabis cultivation journey. We are now entering the fourth week of flowering, but one of my plants stubbornly remained in the vegetative stage. After careful consideration, I decided to remove it from the grow box. I harvested the leaves and set them aside for drying to make tea. The flowering process for the remaining plants has been progressing well. Over the past week, the plants have grown over 12 centimeters, showing steady development. The buds are maturing quickly, and the aroma is becoming more pronounced, which is a promising sign of healthy flowering. However, two days ago, I noticed a concerning issue with my largest plant—a plant I had been especially proud of. Unfortunately, it began showing signs of hermaphroditism. This is likely a result of some beginner mistakes in the growing process. Additionally, the weather threw an unexpected challenge my way. The humidity in my apartment reached unusually high levels, hovering between 80-85% for three consecutive days. Naturally, I refrained from watering the plants during this period, but this sudden spike in humidity might have caused the stress that triggered the hermaphroditic tendencies. I acted swiftly upon discovering around 10 small pollen sacs on the plant. Fortunately, it appears that they hadn’t opened yet—or at least, I hope so. I’ve been diligent in checking the plant regularly, removing any pollen sacs I come across as quickly as possible. Encouragingly, I haven’t spotted any new ones since then, which is a good sign. There's still a small chance that I may be able to harvest seedless buds after all. With just 3-4 weeks left until harvest, I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ll continue to monitor the plants closely and ensure that the environment remains stable to prevent any further issues. Fingers crossed for a successful finish!

20.10: This week has been relatively calm, with daily inspections of the hermaphrodite plant for any new pollen sacs. Fortunately, none were found, indicating that the previous stress might have been successfully mitigated. However, this plant is developing its buds at a notably slow pace. Patience is key here, but the lack of significant progress is somewhat concerning. In contrast, the second plant is thriving. It has produced several large, resinous buds, and some of the pistils have already begun turning orange, a promising sign that harvest is approaching. One concern this week has been the abnormal outdoor humidity levels, which have occasionally pushed the humidity inside the grow tent up to 75%. I’m hopeful this won't lead to any issues such as botrytis (bud rot). As a precaution, I purchased an additional fan and increased the exhaust power to 8/10 to maintain better airflow and mitigate any potential problems. By taking these steps, I'm optimistic about finishing this grow cycle without major setbacks.

27.10: This is one of the final weeks for my plants, and they're showing the telltale signs of reaching the end of their cycle. The buds are swelling beautifully—although hermie is struggling and producing less than expected. Stigmas are darkening, which is encouraging to see, signaling that the plants are almost ready. Unfortunately, I'm noticing a concerning amount of yellowing leaves with spots, particularly on the upper parts of the plants. Some of these affected leaves are even sugar leaves, which is alarming. I’m unsure what's causing it, but my best guess would be pH issues from using tap water. While I'm confident there's no nutrient deficiency (if anything, they might have had a bit too much), the imbalance may be affecting nutrient uptake. With around two weeks left to harvest, I’m focused on keeping everything as stable as possible. The finish line is near, and I’m hopeful for a successful harvest despite these late-stage challenges.

3.11: Another week of flowering is complete, and we’re now in what I believe is the penultimate phase before harvest. This week, I made a significant change by discontinuing the use of fertilizers in the watering regimen, allowing the plants to focus on natural development and clearing any nutrient residues. I’m aiming to harvest next week, and all signs point to that timeline being achievable. Upon inspection, I noticed that the majority of trichomes have already taken on a milky hue, signaling that the plants are approaching peak potency. Now, it's just a matter of waiting for the first hints of amber to appear, which will indicate the perfect harvest window for the best balance of effects. Unfortunately, the hermaphroditic plant hasn’t fully recovered. It has developed sparse buds, which likely won’t be as potent or dense as I’d hoped. On the other hand, my second plant is thriving; it’s producing robust, fragrant buds that are visually and aromatically rewarding. This contrast in plant performance has been a learning experience, emphasizing the unpredictability of growth patterns and genetic traits. As my growing journey approaches its conclusion, I’m reflecting on the ups and downs and looking forward to the final yield.

After months of care, patience, and a whole lot of love, the harvest is finally in! The plants are trimmed, dried, and now off to their final destination: the curing jars. This batch is already shaping up to be a sensory masterpiece. Highlights from the Process: Aroma Evolution: During drying, the room was filled with the most surprising scent—a distinct whiff of nori (yes, seaweed vibes!). It was both unexpected and oddly pleasant, adding a unique twist to the experience. But now that the buds are settling into their cured selves, the dominant fragrance has transformed into a delightful medley of fruits and citrus, with just a whisper of earthiness. Think fresh mango and zesty lemon—simply intoxicating. Bud Structure: The nugs are dense, sticky, and absolutely covered in frosty trichomes. Drying Journey: The drying phase was smooth, with steady conditions—no mold or mishaps (huge win!). The nori aroma had everyone doing double-takes, but as the days went on, the fruity and citrus notes started breaking through, teasing what’s to come. Next Stop: Perfection! Now it's all about the cure. The buds are tucked away in jars, getting their daily burps and soaking up all the goodness for that next-level smoothness. A little patience now will make a world of difference later. Personal Thoughts: This harvest feels like a small triumph in every way. From the quirky drying-room aromas to the final citrus-forward bouquet, it’s a testament to the joy of home-growing. Can’t wait to roll up the first joint or pack that first bowl and taste the fruits of this labor—quite literally. 🌿✨ Cheers to a successful harvest and even better smoke sessions ahead! 🍋🔥
