This is my second grow ever. And the first automatic strain as well.
Seeds germinated after 36 hours. I started with a glass of water and transferred the seeds in to a paper towel after around 12 hours. Now they're ready for their new home.
After another 36 hours, little seedlings have reached the surface. Great experience so far with these seeds.
Day 4: Everything good so far. Soil was kinda dry so I feeded about 250 ml water with Voodoo Juice & Piranha
Day 7: another 250 ml, same mix as before. I circled around the plant as the center was still a little bit wet.
Veg. Week 1 / Day 1: Happy plants, happy grower. Girls are looking very healthy.
Veg. Week 1 / Day 2: They start to stretch a little bit. Soil is almost dry. I am going to feed them the next morning.
Veg. Week 1 / Day 3:The plants have received their dose of water (250 ml each). One of the two tended to fall over. I stabilized it with some soil on the stem and everything is fine again.
Veg. Week 1 / Day 5: Another 250 ml (each) of clear water today. Suddenly Beyoncé an Taylor Swift have appeared. They will stay for a while I guess :D
Let's see who performs better.
Veg. Week 1 / Day 7: I'ts the end of the first veg week, they are little big girls now! Time to celebrate that with a drink! Every plant got 500 ml of water mixed with Piranha & Voodoo Juice. Cheers!
Veg. Week / Day 1: Plants are looking healthy. They drink a lot faster now. Gonna water them tomorrow.
Veg. Week / Day 2: 500 ml of water mixed with Piranha & Voodoo Juice.
Veg. Week / Day 3: You can clearly see how quickly they are already growing. There is now a pleasantly herbal smell coming from the tent when I open it. The lamp is running at approx. 20% power and I have reduced the distance from 40 cm to 25 cm. This means that the plants now receive 250 PPFD instead of 180 PPFD. I measured the values with the Photone app.
Veg. Week / Day 4: The plants are doing well and I have decided to start with LST. I hope I wasn't too harsh. Taylor is growing a little smaller overall, but is almost as developed as Beyoncé.
Veg. Week / Day 5: Today they were given 500 ml of water. From now on they also get B-52 from Advanced Nutrients. Only half the dosage for now.
Vegg Week / Day 6: The ladies have coped quite well with the LST. I bent the trunk of Beyoncé a little too much, but she continues to grow normally. I have corrected it to the top so that it is not too close to the ground. When the side shoots are bigger, I'll continue. Soon both will get fertilizer for the first time.
Veg. Week 3 / Day 1: Yesterday I was careless and bent Beyoncé's stem too much and broke it off. But she took it very well and seems to be continuing to grow. She's a survivor!
Today they both got fertilizer for the first time. I have also increased the light output slightly so that they are now receiving around 330 PPFD.
Veg. Week 3 / Day 5: So far everything is fine. I think I made a few small mistakes with the LST. For example, it would have been better to plant the seeds a little more towards the corner of the pots to make better use of the space. Now it's a bit difficult to get the "curve" right. As the plants are already showing signs of flowering, there's not too much time left to train them. But no big deal, I'm still learning. I watered with 1 liter of clear water. I have also increased the light intensity to 50%, so the plants receive around 450 PPFD.
Veg Week 3 / Day 7: I correct the direction of growth about every 2-3 days. This gives the plants enough time to recover in between. The pots are still quite heavy, So I don't have to water them for now. It's nice to see that the small side shoots are slowly growing.
Veg. Week 4 / Day 2: The side branches are now catching up and developing well. I have slightly defoliated both plants. Just enough to let a little more light into the center. I also bent the main stem a little more. Finally, they were each given 1 liter of water and a full dose of fertilizer.
Veg. Week 4 / Day 3: The fertilizer is having an effect and the plants are growing nicely.
Veg. Week 4 / Day 6: Today I defoliated a bit again. I hope the plants will still go into stretch. I try to disturb them as little as possible.
Flower Week 1 / Day 3: The time has come! We have reached the flowering stage! I'm very happy with everything so far and am pleased that the plants are healthy. They are relatively low, but I think I was a bit too sparing and careful with the light. No big deal, I'm learning :) Yesterday the plants got a full 2 liters of water each, including the specified nutrients. I also removed some of the fan leaves on various days to improve air circulation and encourage the flowers to grow.
Flower Week 1 / Day 6: Gradually you can see that purple buds are developing. Today I gave each plant another 2 liters of water + Bud Candy & Big Bud from Advanced Nutrients.
Flower Week 2 / Day 1: Welcome to flowering week 2! These two are definitely still in stretch. I use it to keep training them and get the tips leveled. I stretch them outwards as much as I can so that I don't have to defoliate too much. The flowers already look pretty cool. The purple just makes them special. A mild smell is already forming, which I find very unique. I'm really looking forward to its further development.
Flower Week 2 / Day 3: Happy and healthy plants! So far, everything is running smoothly. Every now and then I remove any leaves that are in the way. Tomorrow I will feed them again.
Flower Week 2 / Day 4: 2 liters of water for both mixed with nutrients.
Flower Week 2 / Day 6: Beyonce still seems to be stretching. One of the branches wants to go up high, so I have to keep it down regularly with wire. It is interesting to see how differently the flowers develop. Some are already clearly recognizable, while others are much less developed.
Flower Week 3 / Day 2: The plants each received 2 liters of water and nutrients. I only gave them half the dose of fertilizer. They are doing wonderful. The leaves have a rich green color and are praying.
Flower Week 3 / Day 5: Today I defoliated them again a little, as some parts were getting a bit too bushy. They are now quite sticky and the trichomes glisten in the light. Unfortunately, it doesn't look quite the same on the video. All of Taylor's buds develop evenly. In Beyoncé's case, one half is already well developed and the other half behaves completely differently. In any case, both are healthy. Perhaps it is also due to the genetics of the plant.
Flower Week 4 / Day 1: There is not much new to report. In my opinion, patience is particularly important during the flowering phase. Today I gave them both 3 liters of water with nutrients to create a drain. The pH value of the excess water was 5.8, which is a little too low. Next time I will water with a slightly higher pH value to compensate for the deficit.
Flower Week 5 / Day 2: Fall is coming! It's slowly coming to an end. The leaves are turning yellow. The process feels like it started overnight. Most of the trichomes are milky/cloudy. I'm leaving out the fertilizer from now on. They still get a bit of nutrients, but otherwise only clear water.
Flower Week 6: There's not much going on. The ladies have what they need and there's not much to do except wait and watch the trichomes. It will certainly take another 2 weeks or more as there are still some clear trichomes.
