LueRootsGrowGermany We are currently around week 4.
About that, because the Purple C. K. really has a noticeably "long flowering time" as stated in the description.
It's also worth mentioning that the plant had a mold issue, which may have played a role.
Nevertheless, after everything, the girl is looking splendid and dense again.
It's phenomenal how much the lower stable branches are stretching beautifully upwards.
A little defoliation will also happen this week. They need to breathe too.
Otherwise, the buds are forming nicely and already smell a bit better.
Also briefly mentioned: This is the first time we are cultivating the P.C.K and also the first feminized cannabis plant for us in the outdoor area (Who knows how long, this year in Germany is just not a cannabis year ^^)
Furthermore, we are quite new here and are sure to learn quickly, especially regarding such a grow diary.
We've already seen some amazing reports! Hats off!
Best regards for now and happy growing!
Update 09/15/24
We defoliated our plant and sadly had to cut off the infested main stem and 2 side branches with a heavy heart. The leaves didn't look healthy anymore and had lost their juicy green. Comparing the healthy leaves to the infested spots, the leaves in the infested areas showed a yellowish tint and an unusual structure. They looked distinctly jagged, and you could feel the difference. Nutrient uptake was no longer at 100 percent. To ensure the other branches can grow healthily, we had to take this step. The worry about whether the plant would forgive us was great.
Personal assessment: Apparently, the plant looks like it's recovering quickly.
Admittedly, it's quite challenging with her, but we really enjoy this process :-)

LueRootsGrowGermany So far, we can say that she is really doing well.
Despite the struggles and still so much love, it seems like the plant is getting back on its normal life path and pursuing its life goals.
The flower preparation is in full swing, with purple stems now also visibly appearing on the leaf stalks.
However, it has gotten quite cool. Which isn't bad for our plant, as we hope it will encourage her to turn more purple.
The watering behavior has halved, meaning we are currently watering every 2 days with about 4 liters and without the previous additions of Juice, Co2, Acti-Vera, Heaven.
Further observations are still ongoing.
Anyone who has read this far can start looking forward to next week already 😋
Because our new equipment has slowly started to arrive.
That means: The 80 cm indoor tent will be replaced by a 1.5 x 1.5 x 2 m one.
The 600 W ceramic lamp that only ran on the first setting (about 480 W due to heat development) in the small tent will be replaced by a new Lazerlite LED 720 watt.
A large activated carbon filter as well as the big exhaust fan are already in the starting blocks 😎
Thus, the lady will have a mega nice and warm spot in the indoor area from around the middle to the end of this week.
Wishing all growers a lovely week! 😉

LueRootsGrowGermany Yesterday we defoliated our plant to give it some air and reduce pests coming into the tent. Then we stretched it so it fits through the doors. Once in the tent, we removed the plastic and secured the tall side branches with string using Low-Stress Training. This way, the lower branches/buds are now getting enough and more light. Since it’s probably stressed enough now, we don’t plan on defoliating again in the next few days. We’ll do that around the end of the week. So far, there have been few pests, and we’ve also hung up 3 yellow sticky traps. The lamp was set to 400/600 watts yesterday for acclimatization, and starting today, we’ve ramped it up to full power at 720 watts including Deep Red Mode.
We’re looking forward to the coming week and wish all growers a great rest of the week and lots of success with their grows!

LueRootsGrowGermany The flowering is progressing well. The buds are getting fuller now, and the smell has increased significantly. Trichomes are slowly forming.
Since this week, we are also adding PK 14/15, 0.5-0.75 ml/l per day to the nutrient solution. As usual, we water about 3 liters every day, including CO2 addition.

LueRootsGrowGermany At the end of last week, things ended a bit unfortunately. Since we are still commuting and had important appointments, we watered our plant sufficiently as usual and hoped to be back in time for the watering schedule the next day. What we didn't anticipate was that our big girl had already developed so many roots that the holes in the pot got clogged, and the water could no longer rise. In conclusion, there wasn't much left, but what little water remained was tipped over.
We tried to remove the saucer as quickly as possible and provide her with clear water, as she was very dry on top, hoping that she would survive.
So far, she seems to have mostly recovered, but some noticeably stressed leaves are still visible.
Knowing it wouldn't be easy transitioning from outdoor to indoor, this run was meant for us to gain more experience.
Despite everything, we won't give up and will continue to do our best.
For now, we're only watering with Cal Mag and Alg-A-Mic about every 24 hours.
We wish all growers a great week and much success.

LueRootsGrowGermany Over the weekend, we stretched the net.
She has now completed about 2/3 of the flowering time. After enduring and neutralizing the tilted water, a deficiency, most likely "sulfur," quickly appeared on the main stem in the upper area.
However, since we are in the first week with increased mineral needs (Top-Max) anyway, this situation is an absolutely positive sign, as it means she needs and is processing the nutrients.
The thrips are noticeable and can't be ignored anymore. But the new lacewing larvae will take care of them once they arrive. Otherwise, while stretching the net, we removed some small regrowing shoots to really channel all the needed energy into the colas.
At the moment, we are watering about every 24 hours with 4 liters of nutrient solution, including 0.08 g of CO2 tablet and 4 ml of PK14/15.
We wish all growmies much success and a pleasant week!
Since October 16, 2024, she will only be illuminated for 11 hours, and instead of 4 liters, she seems to prefer 3 liters of nutrient solution per day right now.

LueRootsGrowGermany We are in the final stretch
It seems we are harvesting the main stem (smaller colas) from the middle of the stem first. We're glad that it has made it this far, but the rest of the plant is definitely not doing as healthy as this part.
We are very happy to see such a great strain growing and blooming.
As mentioned, this is our first one of such magnitude, especially under all the contested situations and challenges.
We're having a blast, and overall we are satisfied.
Wishing all Growmies a pleasant week! ;-)

LueRootsGrowGermany At the moment, the days are going very calmly and the buds are really maturing beautifully.
The trichomes are very impressive and the calyx is forming.
A microscope will be used soon to determine the THC level.
Wishing all growmies a super successful and beautiful week! 😉
Best regards

LueRootsGrowGermany A very good day to everyone 😊
So we are now in the last week of the flowering phase.
As mentioned last week, the cola of the main stem had to be harvested before it could turn "male" due to stress or over-ripeness.
Otherwise, it's really nice to see how the plant is gradually pulling nutrients from the leaves.
We will soon stop fertilizing. Since we are using organic nutrients, it doesn't necessarily need to be flushed with water. However, when the time comes, we will still use pure water for a few days.
The terpenes and calyxes have also developed nicely and look really amazing.
Just a few more days, and as suspected, it's going to be very close to the end of the S. S. CUP 24.
It looks like our initial goals have almost completely come to fruition.
We wanted a nice bushy, stable plant that is rich in good average buds in the upper area and has as few small buds as possible.
Of course, some have still caught our eye, and next time we know that we definitely need to stay on top of that. Honestly, at some point, we lost sight of it (too many buds and we were referring more to the middle part of the plant).
The plant is so stable that it could have done fine without a net. This is the first time we've experienced this; usually, the branches always bend ^^
But let's just say, this also requires SPACE muhuhuhaaaa 🤣
This strain has enriched us only positively overall.
We've refreshed a lot of experiences and already acquired knowledge through it and thus consciously improved.
We also want to thank everyone who has checked out our report, will check it out, or even follow us!
You are just amazing, and if you have questions or suggestions, feel free to write to us!
Wishing all growmies a successful week and happy and healthy growth. 🍀✌️😎
Also, sorry for any typos that might have slipped through ^^ 😁

LueRootsGrowGermany Now the plant has reached its life's goal.
We hung it upside down in 2 plant parts. The big cola was a bit tricky to get out of the net, and it felt like there was already quite a bit of weight to notice.
Apparently, you can't write that much up top.
So just to mention it again briefly here, we always try to dry the plant whole.
The weight of the dry buds will be updated in about 14 days.
We also don't currently have the appropriate scale for this situation. But you could also estimate the wet weight afterwards if you want 😉
We ask for your understanding in this regard!
The drying is currently taking place under the following room conditions;
Room temperature 18.1 degrees Celsius at 56% humidity.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards to all Growmies and wishing you continued success! 😎✌️
@Mr_und_Ms_Lue_Roots, If all the shoots keep developing well, it's going to be awesome for you guys! How long has she been in Veggie?
Of course, I wish you that too!
Thanks 🌱
@Schnabeldino, grins a 6-turn has just slid over into the big tent right after drying 😅 3 x Pink Mist, 1x SQ1, 2 Bubble Gum XL
Unfortunately, we can't quite find the time for diary entries at the moment. But there will definitely be more coming, though it will be kept brief. But thank you very much for asking 🤗✌️🌱🍀
Really beautiful lady. But she still looks like she needs a few more weeks. The calyxes aren't nice and plump yet, and all the "hairs" are still so bright white. You're definitely not making a mistake by waiting longer. Harvesting too early is far worse than harvesting later. If it's your first grow, it can really be a test of patience, and that goes for every new grow. There's also a saying among our American growers, and it goes: when a newbie says I should harvest, it means "2 MORE WEEKS" 😉 no joke, they really say it like that. Wishing you a nice weekend.
@Stony_German, thank you so much 😊
And no, we didn't want to harvest just yet. This isn't our first grow either. It's just the size and outdoor growing that is new for us this time. Yes, you're absolutely right, and there are still about 2 weeks to go. She's really blooming very slowly, and the calyxes are just starting to show now. Still, it's clear that the small cola will be harvested first, as it hasn't developed as well as the big cola. But she's done pretty well considering she had mold damage in the middle of the stem.
Thank you for the helpful and nice comment 😉
We wish you a great weekend too 😊✌️
@Stony_German, that's our ambition xD Thank you very much and have a nice evening too :-) The form has been in my mind for a while, roughly achieved ;-)
