This Johnny Dang (Ethos) & Blueberry (Dutch Passion) grow was a bit overshadowed because of the Cheddar Cheeze and post-harvest between growing and filming so here's an in detail update of what's going on and we'll have more video content for you guys as we progress through the grow. We started in the 4x8 tent but I moved these over to the 4x4 where the Cheddar Cheeze was growing and I hooked up the ES300's and just seems like it's a lot easier to manage the environment with the 4x4 due to my location and we had some humidity issues which made the leaves a bit wrinkly but the growth has always been superb so if your leaves look wrinkly, your humidity is too low. It won't be fixed but your new leaves will show that you did your job (making your environment better meaning upping the humidity).
The Blueberry being younger is propped up but maintaining 375-400 PPFD which is about how many photons I like hitting my plants where they're all currently at. I've been giving 1/4 cup of earthworm castings every 2 weeks, as opposed to the 1/3 cup I gave during the Cheddar Cheese run. (Running little experiment due to curiosity)
Gaia Green 444, still 3TBSP per gallon of soil for the initial mix set up and 1 TBSP per gallon of soil per monthly top dress...same ole, same ole. I'm also running an experiment between the "500W" ViparSpectra KS5000 and 330W...true watts from the ES300 from The Green Sunshine Company. RIP, I know. Don't remind me. I think I'll get a better yield this time around with the ES300 even though it's about 170W less. I wanna prove that your diodes matter MORE than the company's specified wattage, but we'll see. I also took a pic of the rootball and wanna show that THIS is EXACTLY how you want YOUR footballs to look when you transplant. Have a good look at your roots. You want nice, white roots...not anything tan or orange-ish...trash roots if you have that. I've also removed much of the lower growth so the plants could focus up top, it's gonna help direct most if not all the plant's energy to the flowering sites when they're ready and I can't stress enough how important it is to keep paying attention to your lower growth. don't put yourself in a position where you get lazy and you have to cut up too much and over stress your plant. So just keep an eye on them. Always give your plants a solid week of recovery time, that's 7 days, btw. lol. So if you top, don't do anything crazy for a whole week, give em a chance to recover and don't just assume they're good to go after 5 days. Nature takes time.
What can I say everything is still looking fire, the older blueberry and Johnny Day look like they are going to be beast. Good smoke in the making. Have a good day
@txdiver, Thanks man and I'm super excited. I haven't smoked a blueberry strain in a super long time, I'm hella excited too. I'm smoking on the Cheddar Cheeze.
Hey, just a quick question will you be doing any autos for us to check out? I would like to see how they do. I have been considering getting some Blue face og from Roc Bud as well as a few others. I know you have run autos before, and you were going to do the purple lemonade but gave it to a friend to finish out. Anway have a good one.
@luvurgarden, Not yet entirely, but we got about 70-75% filled up. Gonna flip em in a few days, still stretching out my little blueberries today and gonna see how much room that takes up.
They are all looking good and healthy but the ones in the back all looking fantastic. I know they had a little more veg time but also shows what a little more veg can do for a grow. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the next update. Have a good day
@txdiver, I was on the fence about taking the smaller blueberries into a different tent but then I said screw it. lol. And yeah the back ones got like 20-25 more veg days on em which is why they’re bigger. But my tent is snaking hella nice for sure.
@Growyourhi, After I do a harvest video, the video after that is usually a report of everything with my finished run including terp profile, the effects, all the good stuff.
was not trying to be smart but got a message that just said: @txdiver and that was it, so I did not know if I missed something. Have a good one and If I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
@Ninjabuds, Yeah man, I'm just waiting on the little blueberries to catch up. Gonna defoliate one more time before I flip. I have to bend down the little blueberries in a few days so that should help fill it out more. Thanks for checking out my run and visiting my page broski!
@txdiver, Thanks bro. I might just use the 4x8 for flowering in the next run with photos. Oh, and the blueberry bounced back...gonna create a new dairy for the blueberry and replace the purple lemonade with that. I might give the purple lemonade to one of my friends to run.
Hey good luck with Dang! I also just received my order with that strain following to compare yours to mine and see differences and similarities of the phenotypes later on whenever i germinate em probably next week
@Luram, Nice man! Johnny Dang was a new release I heard about and I’ve always liked Ethos Genetics, their dank is always fire. Good luck on your Johnny Dang run as well broski!
Happy growing und much love from Germany.
