Monster-Cropped Green Crack Clones

This is my second ever grow. My first grow consisted of 3 strains including GC. I had pulled clones about 1.5 weeks after switching to flower to try Monster Cropping them. Unfortunately, it took about 6 weeks for my clones to start showing roots through the cubes. Then I put a heat mat under their tray and they really took off. I put them into Solo Cups for about 2.5 weeks and then transplanted into these pots. They've been in these pots for about 2 weeks now. They really exploded once I put them into these 3 gallon pots and I decided to LST them to keep them from getting too tall. I might end up putting them in a SCROG to control them if they continue to stretch up. Also, during my last run with the GC...I was constantly battling yellowing leaves so I've added a little Nitrogen Booster and so far...they're looking great!

Another week under the MH dialed down to 450w. I tried to turn it up to 600w. Went to check on it about an hour later and it was almost 90F in my tent. So I turned it back down. I decided to take out the MH today and put a new "1200w" cob light in its place. Also added a 1000w LED that I had sitting on the shelf. Got it going and now my temps were sitting at 68-69. Exact opposite problem...lol. So I'll work this week on getting my temps in check. Want to do some defoliating/lollipopping next week and will decide whether to put in a SCROG net. The Green Crack girls are looking great and the Northern Berry grew probably 4 inches this week. Even the other NB that I thought were done for are showing new growth but it's just too late for them. They'll never catch up and I really wouldn't have the room for them in the tent anyway.

Did some defoliating, LST, and super cropping this week to control some of the height issues I might run into later. Then, I decided to put the SCROG net into the tent anyways to help stabilize the thinner branches a bit...and also to hopefully control the stretch a little. Plants are looking happy and very green under the LEDs for now. I'm going to leave the LEDs in when I flip tomorrow to see how they like the lights in bloom. If they seem slow to flower...I'll be putting the HPS into the tent and pull out the LEDs. Feeding once a week and ph'd water once a week til I see some runoff. They're drinking a lot more than my last grow so far.

Switched to flower last week so this is day 7. Getting some stretch that I've been controlling with SCROG net and some super cropping. Plants still look great...nice green color. One in the back corner has a few leaves with discolored tips but it hasn't gotten any worse so I'm just going to keep an eye on it for now. I'm strongly considering going back to my HPS light because the LED just aren't keeping the tent warm enough. I was using a space heater to keep dark temps up but now it's running during the day as well. Also, my humidity has been a battle since putting in the LEDs. I was ok with it during veg but it's averaging about 55 humidity right now with lights on. Just too cold in the winter where I live. And in the summer I'm battling heat in the tent. Constant battle. I think I'll save the LEDs for summer and MH/HPS for winter.

Day 15 of flower and they're starting to show buds. It's a little too crowded in my tent so I ordered a new 5x5 which will give me twice as much area as what I have now which is 4x3. I also bought a cool tube reflector that is 25 inch by 24 inches for the new tent. I love this LED but it's just too cold in my basement room in the winter.

Not much to report this week. Buds are developing nicely. Smell increased a little bit and been removing and tucking fan leaves a bit to keep light getting through as well as helping lower air flow. Took two of my LED lights out and put a 600w light back into it....with a cool tube reflector. It has a decent footprint and keeps it a decent temperature. My LED lights were great but I had to keep a heater going because they didn't keep my tent warm enough in my cool basement. In the summer, I will use my LEDs again for a full grow just to compare. I did leave one 1000w LED light in (only 185 real watts) to help cover the area that wasn't getting enough light from the HPS.

Day 31 of flower. Coming along nicely except some fan leaves turning yellow. But I think it's my fault because I was at work for a few days and couldn't feed or water them. One plant was looking a little droopy today when I fed them but she's starting to look better.

Today is Day 36 of flower. I bought a new LED and tent and I moved everything today. I've been fighting high temps during the day with my HPS and low temps after lights go out. I had a heater with an Inkbird in the tent but it was cramped and didn't feel safe with it in there. So now I've got a bigger tent with more space for humidifier and heater. Also, in my one picture, I'm seeing some odd color. The leaves are yellowing but also getting a pinkish color to them. I flushed some 6.8 plain RO water through them and the runoff was at 7.1 I fed them at 6.0 and will keep it between 5.9-6.0 for the rest of the run to hopefully get the pH down a bit.

Nothing much to report this week. Temps and humidity seem to be in check. A little more yellowing going on but seems to be ok as it's probably only a couple week til chop. I had to add a couple bamboo stakes to hold up a few branches that wanted to keep falling over.

Day 49 in flower. This week I saw some bad nutrient burn/light stress so I moved my lights up and took a PPM measurement of my run off. It was going in at 300ppm and coming out at 1800ppm. So, I flushed with a little FloraKleen and a bunch of water to get the ppm back to an acceptable level. Will give only water again next time and then back to a feeding schedule for the last week or so. I also staked up some of the branches that were falling over and pulled all the dying/burned leaves.

Last full week of nutrients. This coming week I will feed a half strength dose with some dry KoolBloom and then probably move to straight ph water for a week. But I'll check the trichomes before I decide for sure.

Not too bad for a final number. I had some issues with a lockout and ph issues a couple weeks before I harvested. It might have kept the buds from reaching their potential. The Aglex cob LED lights performed pretty well. Not sure if they're equal to the HPS used on my last grow...but pretty close and less heat issues to deal with for the same amount of true watts used.
