I soaked the mystery seed from 420 fast buds in a paper towel. 36 hours and we have germination. Planted in peet moss with the vs1000 on 50% to get it to sprout. PSA - Not sponsored by Papa John's...
We have sprouted on 9/16/24.
Decided to add a humidifier. I was having a hard time keeping humidity above 45%.
Day 1 in the peat pellet. I believe I will put in a pot with Happy Frog soil in a day or two.
Day 2 Transplant into 2.5 gallon pot with Happy Frog Soil. Gave 20ml of water
Day 4 Gave 40ml of water
Day 5 Increased the brightness of the light. Thought she might be stretching some.
Day 8 - 4in tall. light is at 20in. RH is at 60%
Day 9 - gave first feeding with 1/8 strength Fox Farm grow big nutes
Day 10 - Handling feeding well so far, dropped humidity to 55%
Day 12 - Gave 2nd feeding with 1/8 strength Fox Farm grow big nutes. 100ml of water.
Day 14 - 7in tall. Seems to be growing good. Handling nutes just fine.
Day 15 - 7in tall and growing nicely. Starting to smell a bit.
Day 17 - 8in tall, watered with 1/4 strength Grow Big.
Day 19 - 9in tall and have been waiting to LST but decided to do it now. I hope it wasn't too tall. I guess we will find out.
Day 21 - May have waited a little too long for the LST buy the bottom leaves will fill out with the light now. May not be a nice even canopy. Watered today
Day-22 Into the 4th week of veg. Looking closely it looks like we might have some pre-flowering going on.
Day-27 Power was off for 3 days due to the hurricane. I tried to give some indirect sunlight when I could. Hopefully not too much damage. Time will only tell.
Day 29 - 1st week of flowering. Roughly 10in tall. LST was probably a little on the late side but the sides are starting to grow up.
Day 31 - watered with Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, and Big Bloom
Day 33. Handling the feeding really well. Much taller than I thought it would be. Having to move light up every two days.
Day 35. Looking good. Everything seems to be going well.
Day 36 - Noticed a few bottom fan leaves yellowing. Happened over night. not sure if it a deficiency, normal at this stage or went too long with out watering. Water today so it was about 5 days.
Day 38. All is going well. The bottom leaves are the only ones that yellowed. maybe waited to long to water, or its normal during flower.
Day 40 - Fed 1/4 tiger bloom, 1/8 grow big, and 1/2 big bloom. Watered 1/2 gallon
Day 43 - The yellowing of leaves going up the plant seems to have slowed down or stopped.
Day 45 - Yellowing is still moving to new leaves. Top of plant starting to lean. Might me getting top heavy.
Day 47 - Top of plant fell over. Had to tie it to a stake. Some of yellowing leaves starting to turn brown. Watered with a tbsp of Epsom Salt. Hope this helps.
Day 49. Not sure if the Epsom salt is going to help. More leaves are turning plus a few are having burnt ends now. Just have to wait and see. I'm going to continue feeding with the Epsom salt.
Day 50 - Buds are thickening. I might have the deficiency stopped from progressing. I will see after the next water. Will keep giving the Epsom salt.
Day 53 - Buds are plumping. The deficiency doesn't seem to be going away. I'll still feed with epsom salt. I may just have to ride it out and hope for the best.
DAY 56 - Watered today. Buds are looking nice. Hairs are turning red. Hopefully they will keep plumping up. I know the deficiency will hinder it some.
Day 57 - Plant is looking ugly. Deficiency keeps moving right along. Just gonna push it until harvest. Trichomes are about 40 to 50% cloudy. Wanna wait till 20 to 30% amber. Maybe two more weeks.
Day 60 - Still pushing on. I believe I am going to just do plain water till the end. Looks like another deficiency going on, but could be because the plant is taking everything it needs now knowing it's near the end. Smells wonderful. I haven't touched them but buds don't look too dense. We shall see what happens in the next week or so. I have spotted an amber trichome here and there.
Day 63. Smell is nice and strong. Kind of sweet. Trichomes are looking about 10 to 15% amber. Maybe two more days and I will harvest. Wanting to get 20 to 30% amber. Things are moving faster than I thought they would.
Day 64 - Looking like we might have a bit to go. Not seeing as many amber trichomes as I thought. Mostly milky though. Just giving straight ph'd water.
Day 70 - Gave one last watering on day 69. I think I will be harvesting within the next few days. The trichomes on the cola bud are around 20 to 30% amber from what I can tell.
Harvested Day 75. Buds weren't too dense. Kind of disappointed. It may be due to lack of enough light or the deficiency issues I had. I was hoping to get between 1 and 2oz but, I believe it will be more near a 1/2oz dried. We will see. Main cola was a decent size. All in all, for a first grow, I am happy. It smells great. We will see how it tastes after curing.
Update: So after drying I got a little over an Oz. 34 grams to be exact, so I pretty stoked. Double what I was thinking I would end up with.
