Germination Week: Star Froots Auto by Multiverse Genetics
🚀 We’re off to the races on my next grow! On 9/24/2024, the Star Froots seeds took their first swim—soaked for 12 hours on a heating mat until they popped out a taproot.
Then, the little sprouts 🌱 moved to the paper towel method, growing the taproot to a healthy 1 ½ inches. Thankful for a smooth start since my first grow with an auto resulted in a mutant!
Transferred them to soil on 9/26 under a humidity dome to maintain moisture. I’m expecting them to sprout soon.
I'm using a 5-gallon fabric pot and planning a SOG training method, and minimizing defoliation to reduce shock, except for diseased or obstructive leaves. Planning to let them grow naturally, defoliating only in the last 1-2 weeks to enhance bud fattening. Considering a side-by-side test to compare defoliation effects on bud development and density.
Excited to see how this hybrid turns out. With sweet, fruity genetics (Sour Gas x Haze), I’m expecting some killer lime green buds and a balanced high. Shoutout to Multiversebeans.com for the free seeds—let’s see how their genetics compare and where this adventure takes us!
The Star Froots journey has begun! Week 1 has been all about getting settled in—from soaking to paper towel sprouting, she’s now settled in the soil and ready to grow. Looking forward to watching this two grow. Here we go! 🌱
Star Froots is finding her groove in Week 2! She’s settling in nicely, with some fresh new growth and leaves coming in strong. No major changes yet, but you can tell she’s gearing up for bigger things. All’s looking good so far—she’s happy, healthy, and ready to keep growing! 🌱
Star Froots is kicking it up a notch in Week 3. She’s showing solid growth, getting taller and starting to fill out with more leaves. Nothing major yet, but you can tell she’s prepping for the next stage. Steady progress, with everything looking healthy and on track as they keeps stretching out.
It was a maintenance week for Star Froots! Did some light defoliation to clear out excess leaves and improve airflow, plus set up the ScrOG netting to spread out the branches. She’s still stretching out and looking healthy, with a solid structure forming. We’re getting close to the start of the flowering stage, and everything’s right on track. Can’t wait to see those buds start to show! 🌿🌸
Aside from a minor light burn hiccup (now fixed!), She’s really started to stretch out, and flowers are popping up all over. Despite the little setback, she’s powering through and looking great. Excited to see how these buds shape up in the coming weeks!
Star Froots is in full bloom now at Week 7! The buds are really starting to bulk up, and the flowers are getting frosty with some beautiful development.
Star Froots is hitting her stride in Week 8! The buds are packing on weight and getting super frosty, with trichomes sparkling under the light. She’s filling out nicely, and the aroma is starting to come through—sweet and fruity, just as promised. Keeping an eye on those trichomes as we get closer to harvest, but for now, she’s looking happy and healthy. Almost there!
