Hi everyone and welcome to my 3rd run of rainbow cake. This run I will add some different nutrients to my flowering stage and compare results with my 2nd run. Will there be a noticeable difference? Is it worth the price increase 🤔
Let's find out!
Week 1 6/2/24 I started the clones in the auto pots. I used the same nutrition amount as last run. 6ml macro, 9ml bloom, 3ml gallon of Cali magic.
The first 2 weeks I top watered. I used photosynthesis the first watering in addition to regular nute amount noted. I called this veg, but it takes a couple of weeks for the ladies to adjust to the auto pot and feeding system. My clones come from a hydroponics bucket and the first time they hit substrate is in the auto pot.
Week 2 I didn't do much in the tent I was actually away from them for 2 weeks and had no problems. With auto pot system, you fill it up and forget about it.
Babies are still a little deficient but they'll start to correct themselves in another week or two. I didn't have any footage for this week so I decided to post a video of the 2nd run of rainbow cake. The frost on this strain is unbelievable. Check it out and let me know what you think about it in the comments
Hello friends I skipped a few weeks posting because I was out of town. I left for 3 weeks and come back to the growth in photos. It's like watching paint dry during this veg process.
I ended up lowering my light super close to ladies while turning the lights down to a veg minimum. It seems more nodes at the lower end of trunk makes it up to even the canopy.
7/29/24 week 8. Flipping is around the corner. I have to defoliate before the flip. I added recharge nutrient this week to help the ladies have a quick recovery. I'm only feeding recharge with a 3 gallon res fill. I usually fill up by at least 6 gallons. What are yalls experiences using recharge?
Another week with the girls going great. There swelling up and filling out nicely. Like always i increase my bloom nutrient to 12ml per gallon from 9ml. I'll go back to 9 next week and finish out using that amount.
Week 9 here! They started falling over from heavy buds. Gonna try and prop up as many as i can. Only using Ripen at half dose this week. Gonna chop around week 10.
Well, thanks for hanging around and checking out this run. Buds came out the biggest and best tasting out of all 3 runs. I chopped at day 72. I recommend this strain and will run again someday!
