The Garden 2024-2025 Part 1

Day 7 above ground for the first 9 sprouts, give or take a half day. 24-36hours less for the 10 slower sprouts. Due to the age difference, 6 of the later sprouts got too much light too early while I tried to stop the stretch on the first 5-6 sprouts. User-error for sure, but that's why I plant extras. More than 12 are growing fine. The ones off to the side are recovering. It's amazing how quickly they need more light and how sensitive they can be if you give it just a matter of hours too soon. Fertigated twice at this point - pictures immediately following a fertigation. After using coco for 2 years, I can definitely say water absorbs more slowly with Pro Mix mixed with a healthy amuont of added vermiculite. No biggie. Will add a negligible amount of time to irrigation with small pots and by the time i get to the 5-gallons, the irrigation system will be setup. So, some minor hiccups self-inflicted, but should resolve themselves quickly. Will level out all the plants when they are transplanted to 1-gallons. Up to 16 and no less than 12 will be potted-up. A few may fall too far behind to bother, but I'll give most the benefit of the doubt this early. 20th seed did sprout, but it was upside down and did not correct itself before the exposed tap root died. Pretty boring early on and nothing interesting enough to warrant a ton of pictures.
