Fast Buds Orange Sherbet Auto Indoor 4" x 2" Grow - Mars Hydro FC 4000
All of the 5 seeds germinated with the Paper Towel method.
I had them 2 days in paper towels until the roots came out and were like 1-2 cm long, thats when i put them 1cm deep into the soil.
I carefully helped some of them get the seed shell away in the 1-2 days after sprouting.
I put a humidity dome on top for the first 48 hours and I sprayed it with some water to keep the humidity high
They seemed pretty happy.
The plants grew very good until this point. On day 13 I decided to top 2 of the Orange Sherbets and the other 3 got LST'ed. I wanted to try out how the plants would react to the topping.
On day 14 I gave them their first feeding. 800ml per plant with about 0,4ml of BioBizz Bio-Grow. The PH of the nutrient solution was 6.5
The topped and the LST'd plants grew taller and bushier. I started LST on the topped plants on day 15. Every 2 to 3 days, I renewed the training stakes and gave them new LST.
I only fed them once a week, this week it was on day 20 with 1ml/L of water. I also set the light to about 60% power on this day. I didnt knew it, but I think this is where my problems started. I didn't add calmag to my water which later turned out to be a problem, because I gave them very much light intensity and they were going through the calmag in my tap water very fast. Especially in midflower their calmag need was very high.
I defoliated some fan leaves, because I wanted the lower branches of the plants to get more light.
On day 30 I fed the plants again this time I added BioBizz Bio-Bloom and added 1ml/L of that too.
White Pistols everywhere so the buds are starting to form and stack up. I also defoliated again, because the plants were putting on a lot of biomass and I wanted the lower budsites to also get light.
On day 40 I fed the plants with 1,5ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom.
On day 45 I lollipopped the whole bottom third (1/3) so that the plants can focus all of their energy into the budsides which are receiving very good light.
On day 46 of week 7 I fed the plants with 1,5ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom again. I also did a light defoliation in this week.
I got an dehumidifier for this and upcoming grows to deal with my high humidity. This helped a lot to get the humidty to like 60% average which I'm pretty happy about.
But more important I was afraid I would get mold late flowering or during the drying process. I"m pretty relieved that I can hold the humidity at 60% for the drying process.
I fed the plants on day 52 with 2ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom and adjusted ph with PH Down from Advanced Nutrients. The buds are stacking up even more and on this day I also set the light power to 70%.
The buds are now stacking up even more. I noticed much more trichomes on all buds. I know the buds aint huge and some look and are pretty airy (picture 4), but I'm a beginner and still learning much in every grow.
I fed the plants with 2ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom and 1ml/L of BioBizz Calmag on day 58.
I'm really not sure if the leaves of the plants are just near the end of the cycle/death or my calmag problem has gotten much worse. If I'm honest I think its a calmag deficiency.
The white pistols are turning orange and the buds are getting bigger. I stopped feeding them by now, I still defioliated a little and took some dead leaves off. The smell is also getting very loud which I love!
I'm thinking of harvesting the plants around day 75-77, but I'm checking trichomes just to make sure its the right time. I hope all of them are ready then, because some of them are still not as far as others, but I'll find out
3 of the plants are still not fully mature yet. I thinks it's going to take 3-7 days until the last 3 are ready to harvest. Most of the white pistoles turned orange and now I need to focus on the trichomes.
I'm just watering them when the soil is dry and checking the trichomes daily.
I watered with dechlorinated ph adjusted water when the soil was dry. I lightly defoliated some plants again, because I was scared of mold destroying my harvest. I also tried to keep the humidity at 55-60% at the end of flower.
I harvested 2 of the 5 plants on day 71. The other 3 plants got harvested on day 80 and are in the drying process. My inline fan is running on 25% and I got a fan running on the lowest setting on the bottom of the tent, so I doesnt blow on the buds directly.
