Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies Auto Indoor 4" x 2" Grow - Mars Hydro FC 4000
The seed germinated with the Paper Towel method.
I had her 2 days in paper towels until the roots came out and were like 1-2 cm long, thats when i put her 1cm deep into the soil.
I carefully helped the GC to get the seed shell away in the 1-2 days after sprouting.
I put a humidity dome on top for the first 48 hours and I sprayed it with some water to keep the humidity high.
It seemed pretty happy.
The Gorilla Cookie grew very good until this point. On day 13 I decided to top it. On day 14 the GC got her first feeding. 800ml with about 0,4ml of BioBizz Bio-Grow. The PH of the nutrient solution was 6.5
The Gorilla Cookies grew taller and bushier. I started to LST her on day 15. Every 2 to 3 days, I renewed the training stakes and gave her new LST. I broke one the bottom notes (picture 3) off but since the where 2 branches lower they just replaced the one node. I only fed her once a week, this week it was on day 20 with 1ml/L of BioBizz-Grow. I also set the light to about 60% power on this day. I didnt knew it, but I think this is where my problems started. I didn't add calmag to my water which later turned out to be a problem, because I gaveher very much light intensity and she was going through the calmag in my tap water very fast. Especially in midflower her calmag need was very very high.
I continued to renew the stakes, every 3-5 days and watered when dry. Btw I don't water every day, more like every 2-4 days, when the soil dries out. I started seeing white pistols in this week, so I knew the GC is in preflower. Thats why I fed the GC with 1ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom and 1ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Grow to help with the pk demand. I also broke another note off, but the branch was still slightly attached, so I tried to glue it back on with some scotch tape and it worked out just fine. Incredible how robust this plant is and how much stress it can take for an autoflower
I defoliated some fan leaves, because I wanted the lower branches to get more light. On day 30 I fed the GC again this time I just used 1ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom.
The plant also showed some form of light stress, thats why I raised the lights again to 50cm distance to the canopy after she grew so fast. I also defoliated the plant.
The buds are slowly stacking up. I also defoliated again, because the GC was putting on a lot of biomass and I wanted the lower budsites to also get light.
On day 40 I fed the plant with 1,5ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom.
On day 45 I lollipopped the whole bottom third (1/3) so that the GC can focus all of herenergy into the budsides which are receiving very good light.
On day 46 of week 7 I fed the plant with 1,5ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom again. I also did a light defoliation in this week. The Gorilla Cookies is streching like crazy.
I got an dehumidifier for this and upcoming grows to deal with my high humidity. This helped a lot to get the humidty to like 60% average which I'm pretty happy about. The humidity rises also the plants but more biomass on. But more important I was afraid I would get mold late flowering or during the drying process. I"m pretty relieved that I can hold the humidity at 60% for the drying process.
I fed the plant on day 52 with 2ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom and adjusted ph with PH Down from Advanced Nutrients. The buds are stacking up even more and on this day I also set the light power to 70%.
The buds are now stacking up even more. I noticed much more trichomes on all buds. I fed the plant with 2ml/L of BioBizz Bio-Bloom and 1ml/L of BioBizz Calmag on day 58.
I think the top of the leaves of the GC are so yellow because its suffering lightstress combined with a calmag deficiency. I think the plant would be much healthier if I fed her calmag starting at week 3. I think thats why the buds aren't as huge, but its still not over so lets see how it will evolve.
The white pistols are turning orange and the buds are getting bigger. I stopped feeding them by now, I still defioliated a little and took some dead leaves off. The smell is also getting very loud which I love!
I'm thinking of harvesting the plant around day 75-77, but I'm checking trichomes just to make sure its the right time.
The GC is still not fully mature yet. I thinks it's going to take 3-7 days until she is ready to harvest. Most of the white pistoles turned orange and now I need to focus on the trichomes.
But talking about trichomes the buds are covered like crazy in them, the plant has this gassy smell to it. I love it and cant wait to smoke the dried flower!
But until then I'm just watering when the soil is dry and checking the trichomes daily.
I watered with dechlorinated ph adjusted water when the soil was dry and decided to harvest on day 80.
I harvested on day 80 and now the plants are hanging upside down in my tent.
My inline fan is running on 25% and I got a fan running on the lowest setting on the bottom of the tent, so I doesnt blow on the buds directly.
