My very first grow! This should have started as a closet grow. I had 2 plants set up in my closet, they were on day 3 of Veg. when my Cat got into the closet and ate them. I was pretty frustrated and just bought the missing pieces for a full setup, so I can continue growing. Initial Equipment: Light 1: VAYALT DQB1000 100W Ventilation: hon&guan 100mm set with humidity control and a clip fan Tent: Spider Farmer 70x70x160 Pots: 12L Fabric Pots Soil: Floragard Professional Growmix Water: Hard Tap Water (~400ppm) Things that got added somewhere during the growcycle -Spider Farmer Clipfan -LED upgrade to Viparspectra XS1500 Pro -humidifier I knew I would go way too hard on the defoliation, so I turned it into a little experiment. #1 got defoliated purely based off my own feeling and judgement #2 got defoliated the least #3 I absolutely went ham on to satisfy my cutting urges

I noticed some bright spots on one of my plants. What could they mean?

THis looks to be just slightly variegated. Nothing good or bad. just the pigments of the leaf differing. You see with more so with plants when they are babies and tend t grow out of it. look up some pictures of variation, and compare them to your plant to confirm. Otherwise shes looking nice and healthy. having a sticky trap is not a bad idea for prevention. Good luck!

week 6 I noticed that the light was just not cutting it, so I Got a better one on Day 41 Switched from the dinky amazon light to a Vipar Spectra XS1500 Pro That should be pretty proper for this 70x70 tent

Week 8 Observations: Fan leaves are showing significant signs of distress Symptoms strongly resemble calcium deficiency Which is weird because the tap water in my area is known for being extremely hard. Conclusion: Nutrient Lockout, caused by salt buildup in the soil from overfeeding+the hard water. Plan of Action: Stop adding nutrients to the water during watering sessions to address salt buildup. Rely on the tap water's natural pH of ~7 (as per the supplier's documentation) to stabilize the soil conditions.

calclium deficiency -- pH too low (way more often than high), nute lockout or simply too little Ca provided.... The first two often cause coinciding symptoms of other 'stuff,' so i'd go with low Ca levels as the cause in this case. It's 1 symptom and matches well. Leaf symptoms are not discrete, meaning more than 1 cause is possible and requires a process of elimination using more information when possible.

This started out as brown spots on big fan leaves and has turned into what you see on the pictures. I've been ignoring the discoloration until I was greeted by some wilted, dead leaves on plant #2 today. I'm not worried at this point, just really want to know what's happening

Week 10 the discoloration of #2 is looking very similiar to #3 Despite the assumption of nutrient lockout causing this I kept adding a half dosage of nutrients to see what happens #3 got better, while leaves of #2 started dying at the end of this week Conclusion: Start flushing #2

//Week 11 //Day 71 Reduced Light intensity to 80% Harvest of Number 3 is imminent. I want to stretch it as much as possible, since I need the tent for drying and wouldn't like drying it over the light. #1 and #2 are also experiencing some pretty weird growth in their top colas. Was scared that they're developing seeds but squishing a calyx calmed my nerves, as I didn't feel anything out of the ordinary. I finally bought a proper PH Tester and measured the PH of the runoff from Plant #1. It came out at 6.9, a bit too high. //Day 74 growth in #2 has stopped and judging by the trichomes it's about ready to be harvested same with #3 #1 is slowly getting there I'm hoping to harvest them all at once before day 80 //Day 76 I got to testing my tap water with an EC meter today, which gave a lot of insight to the problems I'm facing turns out is has a PPM of 450. Makes sense that the plants are reacting sensitive to nutrients and eventually lock out. Nothing I can do about it at this point, atleast not in this run :) //Day 77 I've decided to harvest them all tomorrow morning, right before the light would turn on. #1 and #2 did not have a proper flush, my research tells me it's not that important anyways. (I quote Dr. Bruce Bugbee on that)

//Day 78 29.12.2024 ///Harvest day Temperature and humidity in the drying tent are kept at 65°F and 55% Looking to dry for 7-10 days Updates and weight will follow //Day 79 made corrections to the ventilation system: SF clip fan: -reduced speed 8-2 -turned off oscillation Other clip Fan: -reduced speed 2-1 I positioned the fans to blow toward opposite walls of the tent, just below the hanging plants, to create a gentle cyclone effect. That should be enough air movement, the previous setup was definitely overkill and would have probably caused the plants to dry out prematurely. //Day 87 I trimmed and jarred #2 today. Stems are still not really snappy, I still took it off drying because trimming is going to take a while and I'd rather start too soon than too late. I've ended up starting with #2 because she is the larfiest. //Day 88 Trimmed and jarred #3 today. Definitely denser buds, with more purpling. Weight came out at 56G I did not weigh #2's yield. It's around the same though. Will weigh when done curing. //Day 89 Trimmed and jarred #1 today. As expected, she yielded the best results. Total weight will follow //Day 96 Some observations on the cure: RH was at 54-56% at the time of jarring and raised to ~60% in the process #1 was the only one where I left some space in the jar, as I didnt have enough jars. Turns out it's got a noticeably more pleasant smell than the other phenotypes. I'll leave more space next time. The smell reminds me of caramel chocolate and sometimes vanilla now, very pleasant.
