Fat Bastard by Blimburn

Skully Hello dear grow friends, A few days have passed since the seeds were planted in the soil. This is my first time using seeds from Blimburn, and I can already say that I’m more than excited about the results of the genetics. As usual, I fertilized the soil for photoperiod strains with 4g/l substrate of Bio Grow from Greenhouse Feeding and a handful of Rhizea Granulate from Dynomyco. This ensures that everything the plant needs for the growth phase is in the soil. This time, I let the seeds germinate in small pots because no soil was available. Normally, my seeds germinate in their final pots, and I don’t transplant. I water with rainwater, which is why calmag sometimes shows up in the fertilizer. Of course, this is also due to the LED lights, but it’s mainly to prevent any deficiencies.

Skully Everything looks good. The lamp is running at 20%. I turned on the fan today and adjusted it so that the airflow doesn't hit the plants directly.

Skully When I opened the tent today, all I saw was a huge forest. I can barely keep up with the watering anymore.

Skully Today, I sent the fat bastard into flowering and switched the light schedule to 12/12. I set up a scrog net to achieve an even canopy. At this point, I'm watering about 2 liters every day. I also worked the flowering fertilizer as a top dressing into the upper soil today.

Skully The first buds are visible, and it’s starting to stretch. It’s also beginning to emit a light scent. I’m curious to see how it develops. All the parameters look good, and so does the plant. A few days ago, it was very hot outside, causing the temperature to rise to 29°C. However, the strain didn’t seem to mind. The other plants drooped their leaves, but FB appears to be very resistant to high temperatures or able to handle them well. Today, I turned the lamp up to 75%.

Skully A pleasant smell is slowly becoming noticeable throughout the apartment. Very pleasant. The Fat Bastard feels very comfortable 🙏🏻 I think the stretch is over and it won’t grow any larger. The buds are slowly starting to swell, and under the microscope, there’s already a lot to see. It looks very promising in terms of resin production.

Skully Since last week, I've basically just been watering and haven't done anything else 😋 The smell is getting stronger and stronger.

Skully Everything is developing wonderfully. The buds are swelling nicely, and the smell is now very intense. I continue to water when the pot can be lifted easily, so about every 2 days.

Skully Everything as usual. I’ve proactively added a few ml of CalMag (by eye) to the watering water again.

Skully When I opened the tent today, a strong citrusy lemon scent hit me. Very delicious!!! The plant looks great.

Skully The leaves are slowly starting to change color. So I can soon start preparing for the harvest.

Skully Everything looks great! The smell is very fruity and intense, the buds are nicely swollen and rock-hard. Just one or two more weeks, then I’ll put her in the dark for a bit to get the last bit out.

Skully Now it’s back to the darkroom for two more days, and then, after 20 long weeks, it will finally be harvest time. Currently, about 10% of the trichomes are amber-colored, 5% clear, and 85% milky. One day before they are placed in the dark, I’ll water one last time, so that the soil is dry at the end of the darkness period.

Skully I’m completely satisfied. I will only replace the pots with fabric pots. 178g dry weight. The smell and taste are fruity and sweet. It feels energizing, focusing, and relaxing. A very good strain for daytime use. After the third, though, it’ll definitely put you horizontal! Very potent strain. I may not have reached the 32-38% as stated, but 25% should be easily achievable. If I get it tested, I’ll provide an update. It sifts very well and yields high amounts. Here, I highly recommend dry sift!!! Flower Rosin, on the other hand, gives very low yields (see photo). The Rosin is a terpene explosion. Incredibly sweet and fruity, and hits hard. Perfect Rosin strain. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
